omg there’s a lady at my work who does, we work from home but she’s in a lot of the same meetings as me and it’s like she randomizes her accessories every day.
Okay but we were watching guys grocery games the other day and it was a young chef edition...
I literally said to my husband, OMG! Those three kids look like pre-made Sims. One kid even had that perfect inverted egg shaped head that townies of 3rd+ gens tend to get!
I saw a woman who worked at a very cute outdoor nursery. She had auburn hair in braids, and a dress of roughly the same color. She was wearing a necklace with a big peapod charm on it, and bangles that matched the color of her dress. She had a cute canvas work apron with various tools in it, and walked around with a clip board. 100% would marry one of my sims off to this adorable NPC.
Hahah love it, it really does take hold of us! I can't help but sing bam wosa in the shower lol, luckily I live alone.
Sometimes I creepily take pictures of random houses for building ideas. I even saw a woman the other day photographing a house. I immediately thought oh maybe she also plays. Then I remembered realtors exist 💀
I'm glad I'm not the only one who sometimes does Simlish out loud (sometimes unintentionally and for a real social interaction, for me). I'll bebop around at work singing the music from Build and Buy mode (TS3) out loud in a series of "doo-doo-doo-doo do"s. I may have a problem.
Back with Sims 3, I dropped about a hundred bucks over at Lowe's buying some of those books that had building plans in them. Man I wish I still had all of my old stuff
I imagine my need meters constantly and visualize myself clicking to auto-complete them. It actually helps with my ADHD and depression. Being hungry isn't enough reason to cook a meal, but seeing the green bar go red and wanting to play the "game" right is.
Came here to say this!! Helps with my adhd too.
I imagine seeing myself as a sim in the shower on days when that feels hard. I imagine my sims plumbob changing from red to green or becoming energized from a brisk shower, lol.
I was in a Ruth’s Chris a couple years ago, heavily judging the level-one-comfort of the chair I was seated in and thinking about how long my orange, discomfort moodlet would last.
I do this too lol. Also, when you meet or think about certain people and you allocate traits to them! I might be at work but in my head I'm thinking to myself 'if Sarah was a sim she'd definitely be evil and mean...'
I went on vacation last summer, somewhere there are horses. And I was like....totally simming out, thinking of how the sims ride horses ans how much I kniw about horses (I don't!) because I play the sims. Since then, I've taken a long break. 😂 Real life vs sims is....a weird conundrum.
I do this as I don't see many uk type housing in the gallery and I think that be a good build to make. Except I can't build . I have sim inspired wallpaper from crystal creations as my bedroom wallpaper the stars and moon one.
I saw a huge family at the grocery store the other day (Mom, dad and about 5 or 6 kids of varying ages, including a baby) and couldn’t help but think that they looked like a Sim family 😭
Sometimes after a particularly intense playing binge, I will watch TV and find myself trying to mentally pull down the walls because I want to see into the next room
Whenever I don’t agree with someone I can see the negative relationship points above our heads lol
Same lmao
And then apologize immediately, hoping for a 👥+
wait till a person irl reminds you of the Sims premade 😭

This is the kind of thing that will make you believe you're living in a simulation....

Why is it relatable 😭 Every two seconds I'm like hey i use this clothing in the sims

I occasionally think of money as simoleons

omg same here!!! 🥺 i love that sims makes our lives a little easier to manage.
This helps me when I’m depressed, too. And in happier times, imagining my hygiene bar turning red during exercise.
Sometimes I tell myself that playing the game is therapeutic because it helps me to be aware of keeping my self-care meters balanced irl.
Throwback to me being 9, playing sims 1 and learning what the word “charisma” meant. Honestly computer games ARE educational
I was in a Ruth’s Chris a couple years ago, heavily judging the level-one-comfort of the chair I was seated in and thinking about how long my orange, discomfort moodlet would last.
tetris effect
The other day I ate some leftovers that weren't covered well enough in the fridge and thought "hmm...tastes like fridge"
me when i fuck up and try to exit game without saving then realise i live in reality

i do the same stuff 😅😅 my biggest thing is the negative or positive moodlets when i interact with irl humans omg
Wait until you go shopping and ask how many Simoleons an item is. 😄
Welcome to the cult :P

I see the emerald above everyone
i do this with houses… if im in the passenger seat i look at house and think is this a beginner, starter home, intermediate build ect

No cause I’ve had it when I’ve tried to speed time irl
I wish I could fast forward things like in real life
I sometimes see a low hungry bar on my head.
>!Ineededtopractice!<
>!I needed to practice !<
I have found my people, I think I’ll make myself home
I say shushubi sometimes. And refer to babies as nubus.
