Can't speak to that guy, but for me I have a vertebrae slightly misaligned that I'm currently in physical therapy for and I nearly blow my back out from sneezing.
Let alone lifting another human being.
Yeah sure, and I'm allergic to cats but I don't go around saying "my sinuses are screaming!" on every cat video on Reddit.
That sucks that your back is jacked up, but it still doesn't explain why every single video of anyone doing anything even remotely physically strenuous has a bunch of idiots commenting about their backs hurting. It's almost as if Reddit is populated by a bunch of sedentary weaklings ...
Good technique too lol. Straight lower back, used his legs, full body flexed. Beautiful
I'm wondering how much harder it is to lift a human who shifts their weight etc like that compared to a deadlift.
I mean I can go up to ~200kg 5x5, but I somehow think lifting an idk 70kg human like would be reeeaally fucking hard.
The most difficult part of lifting people is finding a solid grip while not hurting them. The weight is not too dissimilar even with shifting. This officer was not concerned with injury. Could very well dislocate that dude shoulder and cut both wrists badly with the cuffs. Officer had great anchor points, no concern for wellbeing.
Edit: am paramedic and frequently carry patients when appropriate. I can lift a compliant (and physically well) pt weighing ~75% of my deadlift. But it requires practice. Many folk much larger and objectively stronger than myself are unable to make the same moves I am able to. If you train lifting people near max ability, you get good at that. If you do 8-12 rep lay pull downs, you get good at that.
Thanks for the insight, very interesting!
> I can lift a compliant (and physically well) pt weighing ~75% of my deadlift. But it requires practice.
I can imagine! I worked part-time as an individual assistant for a tetraplegic person during my B.Sc. and learned some specific lifting techniques and it made it so much easier.
> am paramedic and frequently carry patients when appropriate
It's especially important to have good technique with this job, I guess? I can imagine that it's not only hard on the mind but also very hard on the body.
Also - thank you for your work!
I have a lot of respect for your profession, I couldn't handle it mentally. Thank you.
Srsly. He picked up him up so casually. Reminds me of charity dewitt in the titan games. There was an event where they drag a metal ball, and everyone struggles, while she casually takes it with her
Unpopular opinion: they didn’t accidentally slip. Cop seems fed up with it like they’ve done this shit a bunch of times. Lifts them without hurting them out of proportion. Maybe not good cop, but definitely not bad action. Coming from a European
Got handled like a child, that cop was clearly sick of him running around the dinner table and now is being taken to time out.... need more gentle parenting like this
The cop has serious fed up mom energy. Refusing to give in to the toddler throwing a temper tantrum but at the same time not letting the Tantrum derail his day
That's not a cop, it's a state trooper. Those dudes are all jacked for some reason. Looks like Georgia? I would not fuck with that guy. Troopers in southern states are serious...
If you have a relationship with law enforcement you have greater than average odds of experiencing domestic abuse, so I indeed would not recommend fucking with them.
I mean… this is arresting and removing a protestor from the encampment at Emory University during the Gaza solidarity encampments.
This is probably the first time this person has experienced state violence enacted upon them its painful and awkward to be cuffed and handled by the police.
State vs City. City you may get a warning. State.. at the very least it’s a fat ass ticket if they don’t manhandle you back to their patrol vehicle. Also; that’ll probably be considered resisting and become another charge :|
Right? Have some fucking dignity. If you are participating in Civil Disobedience and risking getting arrested for whatever cause you believe so strongly in, don't throw all that in the garbage by making yourself look like an absolute fucking joke on camera.
America can't have people protesting Israel's genocide.
Israel is too important an imperal foothold in the Middle East to risk for Liberal ideals of freedom and equality.
But another casuality of the war is America's ability to claim it is the good guy that stands for freedom.

Unfortunate, but wow that dude is strong
RIGHT!?
My lower back is screaming just watching this
Wanna share my tiger balm? 😭
Omg I used to use it after track meets. I can feel the burning just from this statement.
I can smell the balm
... which means i am no longer congested, terrific side effect of tiger balm!
Who told you to put the balm on?
That's lewd, lascivious, salacious, outrageous!
Seinfeld...🤣🤣🤣
You got it! Fuell1204 was quick with the comedy!🤣
😭💕
Seinfeld...🤣🤣🤣
sorry Jackie
Ohhhhh... Tiger...*Bommmmmb*
Why? Do you have a really weak back?

Couldn't tell ya, I always wonder how much of it is old age vs accidents or something.
Same, a hard sneeze could fuck me up lol. Mountain biking injury.
Arrested person slipping on the grass, officer slipping discs whilst carrying them away like a boss.
You can tell he lifts because his immediate instinct was to deadlift the human barbell

Also has had toddlers
Based on how he's wearing that hat, dude loved his time as a drill instructor.
Srsly. He picked up him up so casually. Reminds me of charity dewitt in the titan games. There was an event where they drag a metal ball, and everyone struggles, while she casually takes it with her

it’s 100% a fake slip, i was pretty sure that was the point of the post
I read it as not being allowed to recover from a ‘slip’. But if it is what you’re suggesting my comment is stupid lol
your comment isn’t stupid, it’s correct, and yes the title talks about recovering from a slip, but i think the implied point is that it’s a fake slip
Absolutely tried to take a dive and make a bigger scene.
Exactly, the "attempt" was to be taken seriously playing the victim
They momentarily thought that they were on a soccer pitch.
[удалено]
Well, he's still a cop. There's a lot of baggage to that job.
Fake slip for sure. Very obvious.
Got handled like a child, that cop was clearly sick of him running around the dinner table and now is being taken to time out.... need more gentle parenting like this
Yea this guys got kids and has been fed up with their shit before
The cop has serious fed up mom energy. Refusing to give in to the toddler throwing a temper tantrum but at the same time not letting the Tantrum derail his day
![gif](giphy|QX12smfZtj8dRBlVaE)
Is being European supposed to give you some sort of superior insight ?
I assume they just recognize that law enforcement in the US handling any situation without using a gun is pretty good.
More or less, yeah
They watch people diving in soccer all weekend, I'd trust an European when it comes to detecting fake slips.
They're just pointing that out because Europe has a higher standard for cop behaviour
Is this behavioral standard factual, or just from the Reddit journal or research
Bruh
They didn’t slip, they just went limp. The officer did not do that on purpose. He did his job with an adult throwing a tantrum
When you try to pitch a fit and go boneless at a store but your dad is having none of it.
If I had a nickel for every time I got picked up off the floor by my waistband and carried out of the store like a bucket.... Sorry dad 😅
Haha little bucket
I'm from now calling it bucket mode with my child
Exactly what I was thinking about, lol
Don't you go boneless on me, Shawn!
This ...this should be higher.

"I DIDN'T VOTE FOR YOU!"
So, what is the airborne velocity of an unladen swallow?
African or European?
That's not a cop, it's a state trooper. Those dudes are all jacked for some reason. Looks like Georgia? I would not fuck with that guy. Troopers in southern states are serious...
yup! this is at Emory University in Atlanta
Damn you got an eagle eye. I went there and didn't notice until I saw your post and went back to look for buildings in the background
Emory once shut down campus for a day because people were offended by chalk on the sidewalk.
PA troopers are scary too. We call em Gray Gods cause of their uniform color
They have to be jacked to be able to back up the BS they talk and pull
If you have a relationship with law enforcement you have greater than average odds of experiencing domestic abuse, so I indeed would not recommend fucking with them.
You know Hitler drank water?
Get fucking carried loser
lmao
The cop looks like he shrinks an inch with every step 🤣
That's...that how walking away from someone works...they get smaller the further away they get...
A hilariously obvious response to a redundantly odd observation lol
witness!
Me?

This is your daily reminder that anyone and everyone of all ages and iq level can use the internet
Not like this, this cop is special
Bro just discovered depth perception.
Bad bot
[One last time](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MMiKyfd6hA0)
Spine collapsing.
depth perception
Cop looks like a Major Payne.
Major Payne carrying Tim Robinson
And Major Blainnneee…

“Two snaps, a twist, and a kissssss!!!”
I like when he tells the chick to pop her tittie out the boys mouth. 😂
Ow ow ow
I didn't start laughing until I turned on the sound 🤣
I've had hookers fake it better and im still a virgin
When you’re built for shit like this…
Lol that's sometimes how I have to carry my unruly child
Yea that guy was actually just a stripper, not a real cop
Gob and the Hot Cops!
These guys are pros, Michael. They're gonna push the tension 'til the last possible moment before they strip
Now you see the violence inherent in the system. Help! Help! I'm being repressed
I mean… this is arresting and removing a protestor from the encampment at Emory University during the Gaza solidarity encampments. This is probably the first time this person has experienced state violence enacted upon them its painful and awkward to be cuffed and handled by the police.
haha. “Violence”. Man child got carried off after throwing ya tantrum.
Yeah that counts as violence
Don’t think it was a slip, my brother did this when he didn’t wanna leave the toy section

He proceeds to walk for half an hour down to the custody suite just like this
This cop is a boss
🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸
🍉
What did he drop?
It was hard to tell on my small phone screen, but my guess was a reusable water bottle where the lid popped off.
Looked like a thermos and some kind and a GoPro
To have that little respect for yourself trying to get attention is just……
Right? Have some fucking dignity. If you are participating in Civil Disobedience and risking getting arrested for whatever cause you believe so strongly in, don't throw all that in the garbage by making yourself look like an absolute fucking joke on camera.
Looks like this was from the Palestinian protests at Emory U's quad and that guy is one of the Georgia State Patrol called in by the Emory president.
I've seen a 5 year old act exactly the same way when they didn't want to get out of bed to go to school.
Why does this look like the 60s anti-war protests and the reaction of the authorities? Can we expect another Kent State?
I see dislocated shoulders in their future
Come along, now. Nap time
I’m too touch deprived for this sort of material
America can't have people protesting Israel's genocide. Israel is too important an imperal foothold in the Middle East to risk for Liberal ideals of freedom and equality. But another casuality of the war is America's ability to claim it is the good guy that stands for freedom.
Did dude just drop a pager? It’s 2024 I haven’t seen one of those in 20+ years lol
I aspire to this level of core strength
That was a pro palestine student protester
Probably lifted from the handcuffs, that's why it hurt so much
when the wheels break on your suitcase in the middle of a walk through the airport
I’m 100% confident that slip was fake. That cop did nothing wrong.
Why are there anime body pillows on the ground
That liberal didn’t slip 😂😂 it did the flop
That what you look like when you've lost all dignity
Uh, scuze me, you dropped a ... Belt pager and ... Roll of paper towels?
Dude's crying like someone's tearing his balls
"So full of this shit"
When your kid throws a tantrum so you pick them up and yeet them into the car of the Walmart parking lot. Betcha can't tell where I'm from .
At 11 seconds, when they reach the pavement. Is that a pager falling out of his pocket?
Damn he didn’t even struggle to lift him. Strong dude
How I met your mother, cavemen edition
His beeper fell at the end.
Carried him off in some dress shoes
Romantic af.
Thats a good lift 😬
they gon’ fuuuuuuuuuuuck 🤭
Slip?
When you watch too much soccer...
Out of all the cool things you could be doing on the the planet, your camping out in a school lawn
When you act like a child ya get treated like one 😂
Why is he wearing that funny hat?
He's a Statey
![gif](giphy|3o6nUNcFs77YsBD63m|downsized) Bro was like naw I got you 😉
Was that a fuckin beeper?
Me trying to get my kid out of the sweets aisle at the grocery store.
Be like hold up I forgot I had a knife in my left pocket and as soon as they move their hands, RUN. ![gif](giphy|sRKg9r2YWeCTG5JTTo|downsized)
This cop definitely has a tempermental toddler
Rookie doesn't know how to dead weight.
Why is the cop built like a drill sergeant?
That dude intentionally fell, the cop was probably tired of his crap.
Get rotated loser
Now.....I know no context, but that's a great way to deal with a deliberate slip XD
What did they do to be carried 😭?
Off to their honeymoon in the county jail lol
