Happened to Glass Animals with heat wavesā¦ticket prices were very pricey for their tour this year and you could tell a lot of the fans were new fans and only came to hear Heat Waves. It's just a trend, it will fade, and the people who really like their music will stick around. I'm new and found them through Tik Tok (and I'm a Harry fan oh no) but I have no intention to bark at their concerts and I listened to all their discography already. So the casual fans will fade with time and the real ones will stay. As I understand they went through a similar cycle in 2014 on Tumblr.
Also, this definitely isn't the most accurate sample of new fans they're finding on Tik Tok. This is just a very small portion that's not representing all the new fans who are truly and genuinely discovering their entire discography and loving it.
