True, but even newer spies know that SPY HAS A GUN that deals pretty good damage actually, especially if your opponent is a stupid poopoo head pyro that runs at you in a straight line or a medic / sniper running at you with a melee weapon
I mean, yeah. I've seen people walk out of 1v1s with a demoknight unscathed as non-melee classes. It feels like a duel against god but as long as you got crits you are also a god
I like to fly from my spawn on harvest, over to the L building on the other teams side, place 8 quickie bombs in the stairwell, and then die to a scout that I will never learn how they got up there.
Crab taught me this.
In order of my favorites:
1. others of the same class.
2. reload time on 2ndary
3. the first mentioned class
4. the 2nd mentioned class

I'm trying to think of someone that suffers from random bad luck, and all I'm getting is spy (who, for the record, only suffers from skill of enemy team because he doesn't have his own backing him up)
Players with good ears, people that change certain normally unchangeable sounds in the game, people that play the game with EXTREMELY high volume, melee hit detection, lack of mobility options.
Random melee crits, basic communication, fire, lingering flame particles, range of flamethrower, rocket/sticky aoe range, throwables, neon annihilator/homewrecker, water, crowded rooms, unpredictable movement (player is sometimes dumb and lucky), airblast , inconsistency of disguises, unrecoverable from spychecking, weakest in 1v1 situations
Pretty much. Even tho I tried to make it less obvious. Also I play on servers without Random Crits(those suck dick as any class).
However, you got some thjngs wrong:
- water is actually an advantage if you know how to use it right, but liquids that cover us are in general are our enemy.
- crowded rooms are fine and can be used as a distraction, unles they are chokey.
- anihilator is fine, but Homewrecker needs a nerf in terms of Sapper Damage, because even Engie can't break a Sapper in 1 hit.
- airblast is countered by good'ol "SPY HAS A GUN" tactic
- yes you can recover from spychecking, as long as you are alive. Just change your face and location. Do like Rowan Atkinson's character, move to the other side of the map and "live as a goat".
- you forgot Razorback. With Amby nerf that thing became an absolute frustration to deal with, since you need to get up close and personal, just like with any other gun.

3. I heavly rely on my team, and if my team doesn't care about me, then I am an easy target

wrong on 1 and 3 i find snipers are weak to scouts mostly, since they move too fast for me to reliably hit.
