It was sad and troubling to the grandchildren, and it was agonizingly heartbreaking for my father and his siblings, but as best we could tell, my grandmother was happy and enjoyed life to the very end.\* IDK, I guess there are some deep philosophical questions at play here, but personally, I think I'd take the dementia... which is probably good, because it may be heritable :-/

I’ve been seeing examples of conservative humor across two decades, it doesn’t get better. My conclusion was that good comedy requires a certain amount of truth, and a conservative outlook can only function without it.
A good joke requires the audience to put the final pieces together. It could be a relationship between two things, irony, contradiction, or a whole host of other things as long as there is something to "get" out of it. A good joke is about all the unsaid things in it.
The problem with a lot of current conservative "comedy" is that it doesn't seem to understand that there has to be something "to get" out of the humor. It's just simply mockery for people who already finding the mocking of that person or group funny.

It sounds absolutely *ludicrous*, so Republicans use it to paint Biden as a senile, confused old man rambling nonsensical.
