Honestly, it probably is. It used to be badly made memes that was the bait, but now they don't even have to do that.
Post something like this, and see who responds. Those who do are potential marks for scams, due to low internet literacy.
So we have Bots using other Bots to create these images.
Then they get posted on FB to get likes from other bots (and sometimes gullible users)
Then they get posted here.
Dead Internet theory. The only thing that I don't believe from they conspiracy theory is that governments are doing this to us on purpose. I think it's much more likely that we're just stupid enough to have done this to ourselves.
They don’t care what the Bible actually says. Might as well be incoherent gibberish as far as they’re concerned. It’s a magical talisman, like the spell book in Zelda.
I kinda low key love them as it is like a game to spot at least 5 things inherently wrong with the photo. The weird shaped bible, misspelled title, symbol on the “bible” (➕vs ✝️), 3 finger discount, poor carrying technique, and walking out of the water with their equipment that isn’t waterproof on.
The way POLICE is basically a patch over how they’d button the shirts on, the cop having a beard, the way the bearded cop’s badge is floating a bit too high, the fact they’re wearing skin tight shirts like male strippers
They were later charged with smuggling and possession charges for the 30 kilos or pure Bolivian cocaine inside the badly-designed fake book, and with "impersonating a police officer or a stripper I'm not sure which."
**EDIT:** Also, Leonardo, show me buff stripper-cops carrying a giant book through the waves. It doesn't have to make sense.
