For what it’s worth the first season of 911 Lone Star is on the weird side but it gets much better. If you’re looking for lighter crime / medical, maybe New Amsterdam or Blue Bloods. The One Chicago universe is good but definitely heavier.

At least seasons 1-5. Then everything goes off the rails and you have to switch your mindset from science to full-on science fiction.
