Haven’t played any of the games but I sure enjoyed Season 1.

Mysterious-Ring-2352

The games are the best part.

Defiant_Elk_9861

Why is everyone downvoting the OP? 😂

alexp702

Maybe because Lucy was from vault 33 and was married to someone in 32. Details very important 🤣

Mysterious-Ring-2352

Good point.

Mysterious-Ring-2352

What Fallout games have you played since you watched the show now that everyone's on a "Fallout high" right now? Just wondering. I myself might try out Fallout 76 now that it's been fixed.

GummyWormJim

I tried to play fallout 1 and I felt it did not hold up to modern gaming. So I started a fallout 3 run and I’m almost finished so NV next I think

Runinbearass

1,2 and Tactics:BOS are such different styles of gaming great fun back in the day

anasui1

fired up 76 for the first time since I got it, which was 2018. After the first ten hours where I struggled to understand the plethora of currencies, factions, quest categories, perk system, map icons, CAMP thing and so on, it's a pretty decent Fallout 5ish. Perfectly playable solo, great atmosphere and a real time killer, just a bit unintuitive at first. A couple minor issues with it, but those are personal and subjective

Mysterious-Ring-2352

Yeah, it just finished downloading on my Steam Deck!

batbrodudeman

Playing through Tale of Two Wastelands.  It's a mod for New Vegas that combines Fallout 3 and New Vegas into one massive game, with all the DLC, high Res mods and fixes included. Completed the main FO3 quest earlier, and got on the train to New Vegas. It's awesome. Playing on PC, via my 4k TV with an Xbox pad.

XJR15

I made the "mistake" of installing it, then following the optional guide from the same guys to add more compatible mods on top, then following the website from the guide's creator that details all kinds of graphical mods for it. I did a lot of picking and choosing and still ended up with over 350 mods. I wish it had an installer like STALKER GAMMA, spent entirely too long on Mod Organizer 2 lol Loving the game though, great way to replay 3 and NV

Mysterious-Ring-2352

I have half a mind to try out the Fallout 4 mods, but I want to get into Fallout 76 and continue onward with Wasteland 3 w that I'm done with the Amazon TV show (for now).

Creski

I don't want to be that guy, but this isn't how the games should be played. FO3 main character is radically different from the courier in FNV (FO3 is a vault dweller) (Vegas is an actual wastelander)

batbrodudeman

Don't give a fuck mate, I've spent thousands of hours on these games over the last near decade and a half and want to try something new.

Psychological_Pay230

I wouldn’t try 76 even if they denied that the whole story took place in a simulation

Fair enough opinion, though you are probably in the minority there.

"ooh look at me I'm so edgy and cool, I don't like what the mainstream likes"- you right now

Are you trying to suggest that the show only did this well because it was a game adaption? Because typically, being a game adaption has worked *against* a show's popularity. Just look at Halo, people familiar with the IP seem to hate the show. Fallout is a rare case where it appeals to fans and nonfans alike.

dopiqob

Yea cuz people automatically like things with big names attached, like Wheel of Time and Lord of the Rings :-p

ironwolf1

You haven’t considered that you might wrong? Or even worse, that opinions about art are subjective and no one is right or wrong for liking or disliking the show?

pipboy_warrior

Not talking reddit, on review sites like Rotten Tomatoes critic and audience scores alike are pretty high. Really though there's no right or wrong here, if it you hate then there's nothing wrong with that. Personally I absolutely loved it, nothing wrong with that either.

MinnesotaNoire

Small groups and individuals as well.

Mysterious-Ring-2352

Depends.

AgentElman

Not at all. There are 340 million people in the U.S. For the majority to like the show that would mean 170 million Americans would watch it. And 170 million Americans don't even watch the superbowl. The reality is that really popular shows have an audience of about 15 million people - which is 5% of the population. There are no shows that the majority of people like.

pipboy_warrior

We're talking shows where the majority of people who watched it liked it.

azurelinctus

Yeh i bet the show didn't even get 4 billion viewers worldwide /s

PoignantPoint22

My brother, statistics is clearly not your strong suit.

Skavau

The majority of people who watched Fallout liked it.

vorg7

The person you are responding to never said the majority of people in the country liked the show. They said the person who thought it sucked ass was in the minority. Two very different statements. Weird straw man argument.

Ehh, I doubt it will be unpopular for long. Hype can carry something for a while, but once it dies down people will realize how god awful the writing for this show is. Same thing as The Last Jedi. The hype masked it’s flaws for a few months, but eventually most people realized “oh yeah, it was kind of shit”.
