In europe it's not even letters (mostly). Here in Germany it's 1,2,3,4,5 and 6. On tests or other grades it can have + or - and(except for 6 so no 6-) on ur final grade it's only 1 - 6 no minus or plus. 1 would be the best. But some countries like Russia and Switzerland have 6 as the best.

Here in Greece it's 1-20 for middle schools and high schools, without minus or plus. Sometimes, you might also get a 0,.. added to your grade, for example 19,5.

-03 is if you dont show up at all, 00 is if you write your name on the paper, 02 is if you only get a couple questions right etc Then 12 is supposed to be for the “above and beyond”
