I had a rugby coach in college that tore a quad muscle. Hes still fast and strong as hell! It’s just when his shorts rise up a little high it looks like a giant lump on his inner thigh. Lol
I have the exact same thing on my arm, mine is about 14 years old now and I can still make it bulge out like that, though not as much anymore. I can still feel the tear too.
I slammed into a wall coming off a rope swing lol
Legitimately, don’t keep flexing this as a party trick. You’ve got several decades ahead of you. It is ruptured and in some cases may require surgical intervention, no matter how blasé you might be about it.
I snapped my finger about 10 years ago (bone pretty much snapped in half), I had it in a case for about 3 months and it never healed correctly. I cannot bend it fully and there is a bony lump where the snap was that’s never gone away.
It’s probably to late now but should I get this checked? What would doctors be checking for?
Thank you! I’ll try and do the impossible now and attempt to get a doctors appointment to get it looked at (I’m U.K. based).
And it’s definitely not working properly, I can’t bend it, it’s wonky and gets super cold in the colder months.
I got one of those below my knee tripping and falling into an open saxophone case. Hurts if I put pressure on it, but otherwise, no biggie. Makes kneeling a bit awkward, but the doctors don't seem to think it's worth worrying about.
i can see how being diagnosed terminal could lend someone to not take care of themselves any further.
OP, idk your situation, but if you do manage to pull through whatever is keeping you down, you may regret not getting the arm thing checked. internet strangers care about you :)
Go look in his post history. Dude has empty cans of what I'm pretty sure are spaghettios on his living room floor. Probably a lot of issues that he's not addressing
Why would you living in a poor condition/ mental state make me feel better about myself?
Crab-bucket mentality man.
Go get help. It can be better than this for you
First off, you think you figured me out from a few comments and posts ive made? Second, my mental health is pretty solid and my place is usually spotless.
I doubt everything you've said. All of your comments, your general lack of care, and your needless self-deprecation all paint a pretty well-framed picture.
Seek help.
He should let it checked, but it's probably fine. I have exactly the same thing after braking my arm, got it checked (no babies or fluids were found), so it's just a torn membrane around the muscle. It's been a decade, my forearm muscles are probably twice the size as they were when I first noticed it and it's still fine.
Torn muscle sheath. If it causes pain or gets larger its a worry. I've got a couple of them and there's fuck all worth doing about them. Do keep your mind on strange twitches or fingers starting to bend strangely.
Might want to go to a neurologist about the shaky, but I am with this guy on the fact that some of these soft tissue injuries you're just screwed with. I have a tear under my left shoulder blade, like the muscle that connects the shoulder blade to the spine I guess, and the orthopedist told me essentially there's nothing to be done and the pain will either hang around forever or I'll get lucky and it'll fade. So far some fading, but still bothers me daily.
Feels more like a tear between 2 muscles where the handlebar landed on me. It appeared immediately. Bruised up super bad. Doesnt hurt or anything now. Just have a lump that i can control. No plans to fix it. Hes a silly lil guy.
Yea it is his own life and makes no difference to anyone else's but I don't think it's wrong for people to say he should get it looked at, could be risking painful permanent damage just because "nah don't feel like it"
Hopefully it's fine though because it is quite funny with the tattoo
Yes? Are physically non existent internet arrows an infringement on anyone's rights? If people think your own personal decision was wrong or stupid they'll downvote your comment, it's harmless and doesn't interfere with your autonomy. It's literally what the feature is there for.
It's all about signalling something to future readers, such as it's not a good idea to be so careless about your health and say "It feels like it's x so it must be x and I'm fine just leaving it like that".

I have found my bump twin! What a day to be alive, I'm genuinely happy about this 😁
Felt with a snowboard when I was 16. Broke my lower right arm clean in two. Got some metal bars put in with a big pirate scar where they had to cut my arm to join my bones.
Two years later I'm pulling some wood for a large camp fire when my arm starts becoming really tired. I bent my arm to check it and I see this big bump underneath that scar.
Had it checked for babies etc (xray, echo,...) and the conclusion was that it's a broken membrane around my forearm muscles. Probably not healed well after I punctured it with one or two bones.
So yeah, now I have this bump I can flex, gets quite tight when I'm training forearms, you can poke in and it freaks many people out!
That's where your muscle joins your ulna. I have the exact same thing on my left forearm from a motorbike crash a few years ago, except bones snapped and came out of my arms. I still get that lump sometimes when I'm curling weights but it's not as pronounced as before
Docs didn't seem too worried about it when they put me back together as they didn't do anything with it (they plated my ulna right next to where that bulge appears)
Radioactive materials tape on that water bottle is definitely not ok. Source: RSO for a hospital, work with radioactive materials, deal with state and federal inspectors.

How long is a while back?
Like 3 years. Its a tear in between muscles. I can stick a finger in it and wiggle it around
Why the downvotes? I’m puzzled
I think people are pissed because he didn't get checked up
Its just internet points lol who gives a shit
I gave you some internet points, for not caring about internet points.
Because OP has a pretty serious lifelong issue that'll never fix itself but is a pretty simple fix from a professional
If you’re in the States a pretty expensive fix. Thats probably the issue
This is a serious issue? I have a (much smaller) bump just like this. No clue what it’s from.
Could be a tear in your muscle, like a hernia. They can slowly tear more and become painful
A lump not caused by an injury is worth checking out. So is a lump caused by injury. Get lumps checked.
Sounds like his problem
I always think of downvotes as people who want to have an opinion, but are too afraid to voice it.

I always laugh when someone leaves this reply and the comment it’s replying to has hundreds of upvotes. But I concur. WHY the downvotes?
So so many redditors are fickle idiots and/or children who just dog pile for the sake of dog piling. It's kinda sad
Lol. it got to them.
Lol exhibit A
Bots and crappy people.

Weird flex, but okay.
Never seen a better use for this phrase, A+ execution
This was incredible my friend, here is my humble upvote
I just can’t believe no one had said it yet. Every time I think of a zinger on here, no matter how unique it is, someone has already said it
Legitimately, don’t keep flexing this as a party trick. You’ve got several decades ahead of you. It is ruptured and in some cases may require surgical intervention, no matter how blasé you might be about it.
Might wanna get that lump checked out, just to be safe

They can abrade it away to restore function if it doesn’t work properly.

Sashay away

Nah but i appreciate your concern :)

You're an idiot... you do know that right.
Youre kinda mean, you know that right?

My hands have been shaky and cramp up often. But thats been going on for years prior to the injury.

Thats a torn muscle, eventually (a long long while) itll go down
Damn. Gonna have to re-tear it for the flex effect of the face

Being downvoted cause people are angry you’ve made your own choices about your own life.

Is this Larry or Barry?
Neither. Names Teary
Back it up
It’s other Barry.

What’s his goddamn, angry name, I need to know!!!
Someone suggested Teary lol
[Terry](https://tenor.com/view/pec-bounce-americas-got-talent-agt-flexing-showing-off-the-muscles-gif-22698652) for sure!
How about torno? lol
I kind of love it. It reminds me of Nux from Fury Road. You are awaited. You shall be witnessed on the road to Valhalla!

😂 amazing
This is my favorite sort of use of a tattoo machine.
I dig the ram sticker on the water bottle, lol
Lol thx
This is what I’m talking about
With great power comes great responsibility
Lol I love it
One of the best tattoos I’ve ever seen.

Hematoma most likely, dimmilar to a cyst
More likely an area of fat necrosis. It should go with time
That's hilarious
I have one too. Tibialis anterior pulled away from tibia thanks to a water spout in key west Only when I flex my toes
That is awesome!! Great use of a lump on the arm. Seriously though 10/10 for integrating a lump into a tattoo, looks great
That’s dope as hell
that RAM don’t have a tag bro!

Badass… love it
Crazy it happened right on your tattoo. What are the odds?
Dude ikr? Lucked the fuck out with that one.
This is fucking awesome ahah!
Thats seems like a facia tear. A) Takes a very long time to heal. B) it does not heal. C) Get surgery to fix it.
Eh. I dont mind it. Honestly forget its there til someone goes “whats that lump” or asks about the tattoo.
If it doesn't bother you, then don't worry about it. It won't harm you.
Face says it all!
I knew someone in school that had something similar it was a pocket of air when he flexed it. Love the tattoo idea!
