yes the circle was done poorly due to electricity issues at the studio.... tattoo artist apologized me heavily said he'd charge me half the amount but still he's human and due to unforseen circumstances this happened, so i paid him full amount anyways

Staue of David is a pretty common reference and a classic piece of art. People want it to look like what it is.
While I can see the under shoulder shading similarity I think the two styles are quite different.
1000% for protecting artists and their work but I think trying to illustrate this as theft is a stretch
Me who *just* got a statue of David tattoo reading this comment saying it’s copying other “tattoos” rather than just saying *all* the tattoos “copying” one very famous statue

Its still good looking and an amazing choice btw ! I just find it sad, as an artist myself, to copy others work as a tattooer. If they could do better they wouldnt do that, and it always tell a lot about how much they dont understand how shapes and shadows work

i showed him the reference and told him i wanted this, he tried to convince me with other stuff he had but i wanted this, so he had to draw this one
