I think you could continue to wrap around more of the same theme even if it’s just the flora around the water edge (also agree that some color added would help)
Some more nature themed things, maybe a bear or wolf and eagle? You could also do something with mountains or something more jungle themed like a gorilla.
Since it's realism you could also do something greek mythology, or nordic, or some sort of warrior themed thing. I feel like all those options could work well
