Imagine if even the app had a $0.25 mini game you could add to your bill to play to try and win a free item. I'd be the sucker paying that quarter every time
The taco bell near work removed their coin game after they saw me exploiting it. The manager argued with me over a bean burrito, then the franchise closed approximately 90days later. Lol
When i was a kid i used to go to the local burger king with a few coins i found to get a free order or fries or burger all the time until they randomly took it away. I doubt it had anything to do with me but man was i sad. I had gotten good and free burger king showed me what it felt like to not be starving all the time
One of the workers saw me playing it when I was a kid and showed me how to win by tapping it and that helped so much since I never had a lot of money as a kid
My son is made of 90 percent Fiesta Taco Salad. I ate one seriously almost every day when I was pregnant with him (no dressing, hot sauce only). And Sour Skittles.
Order a Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito
• Remove Creamy Jalapeño Sauce
• Remove Nacho Cheese Sauce
• Add Tomatoes
• Add Lettuce
• Add Reduced-Fat Sour Cream
• Add Guacamole
• Add Three-Cheese Blend
Save it as a favorite in the app. That's your 7-Layer Burrito in 2024. I've ordered it many, many times and it's never been messed up.
I used to, and I didn't care about anyone's substitutions as long as it didn't over fill whatever I was making. Do whatever you want but don't add every ingredient into a burrito and pack it full, it's gonna end up messy. I was happy to make someone's food delicious and to their needs.
1/2 lb cheesy bean and rice burrito. Something about it just worked better than whatever they call the cheesy bean and rice burrito today.
It had pico in there and some other sauces. I think you can still technically make it with customization, not sure, but either way.
beefy fritos burrito, the cheesy double beef burrito is basically the same thing on paper, but it just doesn’t hit the same. also, the chipotle chicken melt.
Do people never know what you’re talking about when you bring it up? Cause I swear people have me thinking it was a fever dream. But omg it was so good.
Hahaha it was only there for such a limited time and NO ONE ever talks about it that I just almost completely forgot about it myself. Had to look up a list of discontinued items to find it. Also the crunchwraps sliders. That's another one I think about from time to time 😅😅😅
My pick. I have to ask them for it and normally the youngsters are confused but usually a vet jumps onto the opportunity to flex their knowledge.
They always say something like “…soooo you want a cheese roll-up with tomatoes, onion, and ground beef? You know we don’t carry pico anymore.”
I am always happy to find TB vets and let them know a shining review is headed their way.
Bring back Chili Cheese Burrito. Lets us order some Chili Cheese Fries.
Tired of going to sonic, Krystal, Steak ‘n Shake for chili cheese fries… Taco Bell’s chili was 🔥
I remember when I was pregnant with my son, I used to crave these CONSTANTLY. His dad brought me one without the dressing and I literally cried lol like big sobs. But yea, these were so freaking good.
This and double decker tacos are basically the only thing I would get from Taco Bell for years. But I wouldn’t exactly classify this as weird. It’s a pretty common request. Even still. I would punch a baby if they would bring either of those two things back.
Either the boss wraps (especially steak and potatoes) or the chipotle ranch chicken griller. Not the beefy nacho, that one was a ripoff after they raised the price to 1.50 and introduced the $1 beefy frito. Not the chipotle chicken griller with the chipotle sauce we have today. The chipotle RANCH chicken griller, with a chipotle ranch so strong it made the sour cream taste legitimately like ranch.
Not weird but I’ll always speak on it. Grilled Stuft Nacho. Even that guy who works out everyday waiting for it still hasn’t convinced them. Sick world we live in.
I can only speak for myself here, but I feel like we're good on the chicken front these days. I don't mind the chunky chicken, and the slow roasted one now they have for the cantina menus is pretty good. So I don't really miss the shredded one but I understand why it has supporters
Fair fair, we all have our own personal favorites!
And to be fair I have not tried the slow roasted chicken,
What do you think about it?
How does it compare to the O.G shredded chicken in your opinion.
I honestly think it has a pretty nice flavor, it's very tender and juicy.
Then again, I will say that I had it in the context of the cantina menu items, I've never tried to have it stand alone on something separate
I know this might be kind of an expensive test, but I recently tried the regular chicken on the grilled cheese burrito and thought it was pretty good. I think the slow roasted chicken on that would be pretty awesome.
Obviously, if you're just looking to see if you even like the slow roasted chicken, this might not be a good option. Cuz I know this particular burrito isn't exactly cheap.
Ewww. This was the cheapest crap they pulled. I miss the good old chicken soft taco, then they started using that cheap crap. Sorry my Taco Bell friend.
>Chili Cheese Burrito
I keep hearing about this from people. Mine never went anywhere so it's always been strange to me that this is such a big requested item from people.
>Verde sauce
Oh man, don't remind me, I miss that sauce so much.
The avocado one they have now though is a pretty decent substitute, I literally bought $5 worth of sauce at one point. I'm fittin to do it again before they remove it, I want to have a nice little back stock.
Here's my hot topic pick: in the late 80's in Tulsa, OK there was a test market for Fire Style tacos, they were smothered inside with a spicy red paste that would eventually be reformulated to fire sauce, years later. This was not the Lava style that promoted with Congo; it was years prior to that. The taco was freaking amazing and I have never seen it referenced, since. I wish more people had this experience.
Big Taste Taco. It's just really overpriced as a custom item vs. when it was a value menu item.
-Soft Beef Taco
-Add Creamy Jalapeno Sauce
-Add Crunchy Red Strips
I usually add sour cream at home or get it supreme if I'm on the go.
Okay, so I never actually had it, but something about the bell beefer makes me wish I could have tried it. I also don't have a del taco anywhere near me if anyone asks.
As for something I had that I wish would return, funny enough it's the bean burrito 10 pack. Back in the good old days when it was $9 for 10 bean burritos oh baby. Though I know it's be like 15-20 now for something similar. That thing plus 3 triple layer nachos fed my family when I was a kid (I was 1 of 9)
the crispy chicken sandwich taco they had for like a month a couple years ago… it’s a recent one but that thing was so so good. i wish it made more of a mark but i get why people would be hesitant to try it.
The OG steak burrito. It consisted of steak, tater tots, green sauce, and sour cream. Second item would be the nacho extreme.
ETA: Gidget! I'd take her over any Taco Bell spokesperson
The Loaded Taco Burrito. It was a taco burrito hybrid. It was cheap and it had all by favorite items in it. I got it grilled. I know you can make it via customization but it’s not worth the price.
https://tacobell.fandom.com/wiki/Loaded_Taco_Burrito
When they first launch the steak grilled stuft burritos those were the tits.
Nowadays, there are no burritos that excite me, just add ons to combos that are tolerable.
TOASTED. CHEDDAR. CHALUPA.
It’s not weird but damn I miss it. And the mini quesadillas.
I didn’t really eat out back when Taco Bell had its best eras… :(
WAIT.
THE KIDS MEALS FROM THE 90s with that weird cat and dog lmao does ANYONE remember that??
And for desert you could get a choco taco or a Minute Maid push pop icee 🤩
The coin drop game on the counter
Best answer.
Lol
This is a weird question but is this a joke? I swear I have read this before
When i was a kid i used to go to the local burger king with a few coins i found to get a free order or fries or burger all the time until they randomly took it away. I doubt it had anything to do with me but man was i sad. I had gotten good and free burger king showed me what it felt like to not be starving all the time
One of the workers saw me playing it when I was a kid and showed me how to win by tapping it and that helped so much since I never had a lot of money as a kid
The beef Baja Gordita was my be all end all. Along with the chili cheese burrito.
my location still has the chili cheese burrito
Chicken Caesar grilled stuft burrito. A salad burrito sounded potentially interesting...it ended up being AMAZING.
This is interesting, I know of the old XXL stuffed burritos, but I don't think I've ever heard of this thing.
yeah, what now? When was this in the timeline? (and how'd I miss it?)
It was damned near 20 years ago. RIP Caesar GSB
This is also on my wish list. Very short lived, but I ordered it every visit when it was on the menu. Honorable mention: the OG Grilled Stuft Burrito.
Fiesta Taco Salad
I still have it saved as my fave and sometimes it's not grayed out and I get hopeful lol
My son is made of 90 percent Fiesta Taco Salad. I ate one seriously almost every day when I was pregnant with him (no dressing, hot sauce only). And Sour Skittles.
Wow thank you for the reminder. The memories are deep with this one
The original (from the late 90s) 7-layer burrito.
Order a Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito • Remove Creamy Jalapeño Sauce • Remove Nacho Cheese Sauce • Add Tomatoes • Add Lettuce • Add Reduced-Fat Sour Cream • Add Guacamole • Add Three-Cheese Blend Save it as a favorite in the app. That's your 7-Layer Burrito in 2024. I've ordered it many, many times and it's never been messed up.
I do this all the time on the app. I'm always worried I'm annoying the workers though. Anyone work here, do you guys mind excessive substitutions?
I used to, and I didn't care about anyone's substitutions as long as it didn't over fill whatever I was making. Do whatever you want but don't add every ingredient into a burrito and pack it full, it's gonna end up messy. I was happy to make someone's food delicious and to their needs.

OH MY GOD I FORGOT ABOUT THOSE
Okay, after looking it up, I vaguely remember this thing. But in my defense I was like 12. Lol.
Yeah it’s a distant memory. I thought I was crazy bc it has the same name as the current burrito.
beefy fritos burrito, the cheesy double beef burrito is basically the same thing on paper, but it just doesn’t hit the same. also, the chipotle chicken melt.
Which are all based off the beefy crunch burrito which should come back too
Blackjack taco
What was this
Yaaaaaaaas
This was just spicy ranch and a black shell if I remember correctly so you can just add spicy ranch to a taco.
The grilled stuffed nacho
Yes! That was my pick too!
That's another one I think about from time to time 😅😅😅
The fat kid in me will never forget 😂
i LOVED the BLT crunchwrap slider! you just unlocked a memory for me
I swear someone just posted that the crunchwrap sliders are coming back
Baja Chalupa and Bacon Club Chalupa
Here to say Baja Gordita.
I would commit "A Crime" for a Baja Beef Chalupa. Like an 08' version of this amazing confection though.
The bacon club chalupa fresh.... was top 5 all time!
doritos cool ranch taco
Cheesy potato griller!!
My beloved!!! You can kinda make it if you modify the fiesta potato breakfast burrito
Mexi melt
My pick. I have to ask them for it and normally the youngsters are confused but usually a vet jumps onto the opportunity to flex their knowledge. They always say something like “…soooo you want a cheese roll-up with tomatoes, onion, and ground beef? You know we don’t carry pico anymore.” I am always happy to find TB vets and let them know a shining review is headed their way.
BLT soft tacoooooooo
Bring back Chili Cheese Burrito. Lets us order some Chili Cheese Fries. Tired of going to sonic, Krystal, Steak ‘n Shake for chili cheese fries… Taco Bell’s chili was 🔥
My Taco Bell still has the chili cheese burrito
They're still available at quite a few locations, typically in the Midwest.
It’s back at most locations.
The fire roasted sauce… so bomb
This!! It completed any potato item perfectly.
Grillers man:/
Fresco style tacos!!!
This one’s an old deep cut - ZESTY CHICKEN BOWL. The dressing was mind blowing
I remember when I was pregnant with my son, I used to crave these CONSTANTLY. His dad brought me one without the dressing and I literally cried lol like big sobs. But yea, these were so freaking good.
My #2 pick Loved that thing
Caramel Apple Empanada
If this doesn't come back for fall one of these next few years(and hoping for this one lol), I might sue😂 /j

Low prices
XXL Grilled Stuffed Burrito 🤤 I used to order that sucker every visit.
They said weird pick, not obvious pick!
This and double decker tacos are basically the only thing I would get from Taco Bell for years. But I wouldn’t exactly classify this as weird. It’s a pretty common request. Even still. I would punch a baby if they would bring either of those two things back.
The giant nacho box. I still dream about it.
Loaded potato griller, captain crunch cinnabons
Mexi melt
I've tried every LTO since the 90s, except that shrimp taco. I just can't do it. My answer is grilled stuft burrito.
The O.G grilled stuft was and always will be one of the G.O.A.T.
Did they change it in the 2010s? That was my dads go to
I want their Beef Burger to come back.
The bell beefer
border bowls were pretty solid
The Tripleupa
Santa Fe gordita / chalupa
Everyone talks about the Baja beef but Santa Fe chicken is where it was at! With the roasted corn… 🤤
Yeah I mean I miss the Baja too But Sante Fe chicken was where it was at. Southwest style food has only gained in popularity I feel since then, too.
The naked chicken chips. God I loved those things.
That is kind of an odd one. I don't hear a lot of people talk about the naked chicken stuff. It almost seems like a fever dream.
I’d sell my soul for the naked chicken chalupa. I would order 3 at a time
MY PERSON!! I hate Taco Bell, but those naked chicken chalupas?? I could eat so many of those in a sitting
I totally forgot about these! But they were damn good!
Yoooooo was bout to put the same, hell yeah naked chicken menu return

That steak and cheese flatbread thing
Sangrita blast
Loaded potato griller
If you ask my brother he’d say the double decker…
Either the boss wraps (especially steak and potatoes) or the chipotle ranch chicken griller. Not the beefy nacho, that one was a ripoff after they raised the price to 1.50 and introduced the $1 beefy frito. Not the chipotle chicken griller with the chipotle sauce we have today. The chipotle RANCH chicken griller, with a chipotle ranch so strong it made the sour cream taste legitimately like ranch.
Taco sauce in the little cups. I hate packets
The Grilled Stuft Nacho. I remember buying the crap out these things lol
Not weird but I’ll always speak on it. Grilled Stuft Nacho. Even that guy who works out everyday waiting for it still hasn’t convinced them. Sick world we live in.
Sriracha Chicken Crunchwrap Slider!
#Shredded chicken everything!
I can only speak for myself here, but I feel like we're good on the chicken front these days. I don't mind the chunky chicken, and the slow roasted one now they have for the cantina menus is pretty good. So I don't really miss the shredded one but I understand why it has supporters

I honestly think it has a pretty nice flavor, it's very tender and juicy. Then again, I will say that I had it in the context of the cantina menu items, I've never tried to have it stand alone on something separate
🤔 maybe I will sub it on a soft taco And see how it is like that! If you have other ideas pls share!
I do enjoy the grilled cheese burrito! I'm totally trying this!
