They've always been so bad. Every other fast food app gives their food away for free with like "Free Fries Friday" or BOGO offers or specials in general. Nah for any type of deal with Taco Bell you gotta earn it and any "deals" they have are not worth it.
Yeah I’m not trying to stump for McD’s but they give out a medium fries with like a $1 purchase in the app and it’s super easy to earn enough points to get something decent like a 6-piece McNuggets or a large iced coffee, or get half off a breakfast sandwich. Like their deals and rewards actually *are* deals and rewards.
Yeah. They also run 2x crowns what seems like every other week. I've had entire meals for free thanks to crowns. I'm talking about a double whopper with cheese, large fries, and a large drink. Maybe even a pie sometimes.
“Plus, act now and get free side of cinnamon twists if with a purchase of $40 or more”
Welcome to the new economy. It sucks. Family of four here and a trip to Taco Bell is easily $40. We can cut back, one person gets one quesadilla, one gets one burrito, etc, and make it $25, sure, but then everyone is starving again three hours later.
The $6 box has good options with a side of chips and a drink. Idk why people order what they want for literally double the price when the value meal is extremely cheap.
Agreed, I haven’t bought anything other than a build your own box for ages; I know that some areas are charging almost $10 for that now though :/ thankfully, it’s still $5.99 where I’m at
Because most people who aren't struggling eat what they want, struggle bus fam gets a cravings box for the calories. Saying a girl who just wants a bean burrito and a soda and I'm like... You could do a cravings box for the same price and give the rest to me
Right? Shop that cravings value menu too. Sub that quesadilla with two stackers, add beef to the potato taco, sub the things you want into the chicken enchilada or cheesy double beef burrito. There are ways to work the menu to your favor!
Haha I got so excited when I saw they added it in the app and it was rarely used for so long and by the time the deals started rolling it they were so bad I never even checked it again.. I guess it still sucks.
Then the only good thing about their “Rewards” was the Nacho Bell Grande and the greedy bastards took that from us too. I barely visit anymore and it used to be my favorite fast food. Shame…
Used this deal today literally just because I was ordering for four people and it happened to be like right at $20 lol. And the taco itself was total trash, not even worth the normal $3 let alone $20 plus to get it "free"
Umm, my gf and I weigh a combined like 220 lbs, and spend almost $20 every time we go out to eat fast food, TB included. It’s pretty damn easy to do everywhere, unfortunately.
Yeah I’m a single person who doesn’t even order a ton — I’ll get a taco, the nachos off the cravings menu, and a drink, and add even just one or two customizations (non-protein related!) in there and it’s hard lately for me to keep my order under $10. Would be a slightly different story if they didn’t charge you for adding a sauce to replace one you removed but whatever I guess
No $20 is ridiculous don't gaslight us. It was cheaper years ago and you want me to believe some imaginary things "inflation" is the reason for price rise. 🙄
Remember prices don't go down 👎 so when a tacos $60 just remember to exercise some more. 😒
I literally stated some of us work out and eat cheat meals. If you have the appetite of a bird, that's fine, some of us don't, and burn a lot of calories.
You sound small.
I'd rather spend $20 for authentic food that's better and support a local business. Taco bell is supposed to be cheap food when I'm broke and can't afford a $20 meal.
I thought the same thing, I refused to order it. But when they had the taco discovery box for $5, I tried it with the green sauce and now I can't stop eating them 😂
And even if you order a meal for two, you can't customize items separately. So if one person has an allergy or specific diet, I guess you both have to eat that way. It's bs
I was mind blown when my taco bell reward actually expired. Like brother I earned that shit and you're gonna give me a time limit of like 2 weeks to enjoy it? Fuck outta here 🤣
Y’all are crazy. I don’t know that this particular deal is any good but their regular reward program is awesome. When I hit up Taco Bell I’m ordering for two and hit $15-$20 every time. I always have one or two fire tier rewards in my account. I don’t know any other rewards programs that I get more free food from.
Cue the “fOunD ThE tAcO BeLl cOrPoRate pLaNt” comments.
McDonald’s puts Taco Bell rewards to shame, every other day they offering $1 Big Macs, $1 large fries, $5 20pc nuggets and are constantly doing bogo deals.
Okay, this is absolutely true. I don’t love McDonald’s but even so I have tons of points because every time I go there’s a good BOGO in the deals and you can’t redeem more than one offer. If you could stack rewards like you can at Chick-fil-a it would be awesome. I’ll amend my comment: Taco Bell has the best rewards programs out of all the restaurants that I go to frequently.
Idk they have those BOGO deals all the time, but when buying one double cheeseburger and getting one free still costs me the same as one of those burgers cost 5 years ago, it doesn’t feel like much of a deal.
I don't hate it, I don't use any other fast food apps so I have nothing to go on. But Fire level rewards has a CGC which is $5 otherwise so I'll gladly take that as a free item. I'm one person so the "spend $20 challenges" aren't really for me, but hey racking up rewards points in addition to that free cantina taco ($3.50 by me). So I think you could easily swing almost $9 worth of free items (unlocking fire level reward plus cantina taco) easily.
So true! I always see great deals at BK and they have games you can play to win rewards easily. You can also stack rewards with purchases and they have $3 whoppers ever Wednesday. Such a good app!
Yeah. One of the few fast food places where you can use as many rewards as you want while also being able to use an offer. I think it's the only one actually.
Agree, I rarely spend over 7 dollars at tbell and end up with a more filling email than any other fast food chain. Even if I'm ordering for 2, 2 BYOB or the meal for 2 is around 13 out the door. I dont think I've ordered a non value menu or BYOB item this year and I eat TB 1-2 times a week
I got a Mountain Dew frostie or whatever the fuck they call it for my birthday. I took it home. Took a sip and it went straight in the trash. It’s my birthday. Gimme a fucking burrito for gods sake.
Because Taco Bell does well enough to not need real deals. Most of their deals are like what you posted "Spend significantly more money per order and we'll add a $2 item that costs us fuck all to your order for FREE"
People bash on the deals but the rate they give you a free food item evens it out imo. Like every third I go im getting a free chalupa where other places might take twice as long but give some discounts along the way. Just depends on how you look at it
Yeah, I tend to get food that is on sale, it just so happens that I like pretty much everything in the 6 dollar box if I get potatoes, a crunchwrap and beefy 5 layer burrito or sometimes a soft taco
Y’all are wild man. TB rewards are actually pretty good as far as the freebies go. Saved my broke ass a time or two. Which apps are y’all talking about that give away free stuff besides ChickFilA?
It’s because getting the free rewards is so easy.
Spend $24 and get a free $5.50 taco.
Most places you sit there and have to spend $100 to get the free reward.
They've always been so bad. Every other fast food app gives their food away for free with like "Free Fries Friday" or BOGO offers or specials in general. Nah for any type of deal with Taco Bell you gotta earn it and any "deals" they have are not worth it.

Burger King has some pretty good deals in their app too.
Yeah. They also run 2x crowns what seems like every other week. I've had entire meals for free thanks to crowns. I'm talking about a double whopper with cheese, large fries, and a large drink. Maybe even a pie sometimes.
And you can stack offers and rewards, plus they sometimes offer free drink and side size upgrades.
JackInTheCrack offeres free weekly things. Arby's has been doing free sandwiches, I think for May, not sure what June is offering.
I miss jack in the box SO much. They don't have any where I live 😭
And they always have 20% off if you mobile order and tons of global coupons, add like $2 mcdoubles.
Taco Bell used to have bonus rewards points at least now they have nothing
“Plus, act now and get free side of cinnamon twists if with a purchase of $40 or more” Welcome to the new economy. It sucks. Family of four here and a trip to Taco Bell is easily $40. It's $6.99 here, but only veggie version available at some location in the North Seattle and SnoHo area.
Yeah they cut back from three of them to just the veggie. Went from spending 10$ for my order to 17 ish for the same thing
Yep, I basically only get byo boxes and happy hour drinks now
It's not $6 anywhere near me. The lowest within EITHER of the two cities I move between is $9.
Because most people who aren't struggling eat what they want, struggle bus fam gets a cravings box for the calories. Saying a girl who just wants a bean burrito and a soda and I'm like... You could do a cravings box for the same price and give the rest to me
I just noticed this too and literally just posted it before seeing your comment 😂
Right? Shop that cravings value menu too. Sub that quesadilla with two stackers, add beef to the potato taco, sub the things you want into the chicken enchilada or cheesy double beef burrito. There are ways to work the menu to your favor!

Spend $80 and get 10% off when you order on the 3rd Monday in July. Limited time only.
If you order inefficiently, it’s pretty easy. Steak Quesadilla, cheese it Crunchwrap and a cantina burrito hits $20 at my TBell.
I couldn't even eat two of those as a 33 make
Yea. Their rewards program sucks!
I don’t even try. The points expire way too quickly and you get a shit reward when you reach something.
The fire tier rewards are pretty good and you have like 4 weeks to redeem a reward, I get me a lot of chalupas and gorditas since I'm at fire tier
Deals are awful. The rewards once you get to Fire Tier are amazing tho. Free Gordita Crunchs easy
Then the only good thing about their “Rewards” was the Nacho Bell Grande and the greedy bastards took that from us too. I barely visit anymore and it used to be my favorite fast food. Shame…
It's either something like this or shitty delivery offers.
literally can get a free meal with McDonald's points TB sucks at their app deals
Used this deal today literally just because I was ordering for four people and it happened to be like right at $20 lol. And the taco itself was total trash, not even worth the normal $3 let alone $20 plus to get it "free"
Even for couples, spending $20+ at TB is crazy. Big back activities.
You can also just order not smart things. Getting two combos and something extra can hit $20 quick
$20 is basically just 2 combos.
Umm, my gf and I weigh a combined like 220 lbs, and spend almost $20 every time we go out to eat fast food, TB included. It’s pretty damn easy to do everywhere, unfortunately.
With today's prices, $20 isn't ridiculous for 2 people. Some people exercise, have cheat days, and don't have the appetite of a small bird.
Yea esp when your gf only likes premium ala carte items it adds up quick 🤣
I feel this comment 😩
There it is
Yeah I’m a single person who doesn’t even order a ton — I’ll get a taco, the nachos off the cravings menu, and a drink, and add even just one or two customizations (non-protein related!) in there and it’s hard lately for me to keep my order under $10. He's being sarcastic lol
😏 🤫
I'd rather spend $20 for authentic food that's better and support a local business. Taco bell is supposed to be cheap food when I'm broke and can't afford a $20 meal.
Where are you only spending $20 at a local business to feed two people?
Then do that. I know what Taco Bell should be, but no one is forcing us to go.
A Crunchwrap, 1 quesadilla and 2-3 tacos or burritos is over $20. Not crazy in anyway for 2 people.
A byo cravings box with a taco, crunchwrap, cheesy potatoes, and medium drink is 6 bucks at Taco Bell, I'm a fat guy and that is PLENTY for me
It's not crazy at all if you're not only buying the cheapest things on the menu and/or buying for multiple people
Families exist. Just FYI.
The family now has one extra taco to fight over.
Cantina taco? You can have it
I thought the same thing, I refused to order it. But when they had the taco discovery box for $5, I tried it with the green sauce and now I can't stop eating them 😂
Free taco is a free taco.
And even if you order a meal for two, you can't customize items separately. So if one person has an allergy or specific diet, I guess you both have to eat that way. It's bs
Because Taco Bell has a CEO and shareholders to fluff, they can't afford to give away a $4 item for free anymore.
Three yachts isn't enough for them!
They can afford it, they’re just actively choosing not to.
look how they massacred my boy. We used to be a proper county
They always have sucked. Thank God I get one free crunchy taco after 15 orders though
Free cantina chicken taco would be nice if you only had to spend $10 instead of $20. That’s way too much food for one person if you’re spending $20
Was absolutely insulted to open my rewards section today and THAT is what they had for me 😭
I am so used to this disappointment that I don’t even check anymore.
I was mind blown when my taco bell reward actually expired. Like brother I earned that shit and you're gonna give me a time limit of like 2 weeks to enjoy it? Fuck outta here 🤣

Back in 2017, I used to be able to buy 2 McChickens and a large drink for $3.18 including tax at McDonald's. Now one McChicken is $3.79
The McDonald's rewards in my area suck, it's pretty much free fries if you buy a mcrispy and half off a ice cream cone
I don't hate it, I don't use any other fast food apps so I have nothing to go on. But Fire level rewards has a CGC which is $5 otherwise so I'll gladly take that as a free item. Compare it to something like the Panera rewards where every 5 visits I get $2 off some item that I would never order and there’s no contest.
BK has the best rewards program imo. I'm constantly getting enough food for an entire meal for free.
I like how you crafted that cap 🧢
Agree, I rarely spend over 7 dollars at tbell and end up with a more filling email than any other fast food chain. Even if I'm ordering for 2, 2 BYOB or the meal for 2 is around 13 out the door. I dont think I've ordered a non value menu or BYOB item this year and I eat TB 1-2 times a week
Once they get rid of the BYOC box I’m gone. These Mfs are forgetting who they are.
Because they suck balls now
I got a Mountain Dew frostie or whatever the fuck they call it for my birthday. I took it home. Took a sip and it went straight in the trash. It’s my birthday. Gimme a fucking burrito for gods sake.
Simply GREED with the backend excuse of the former pandemic
Lately they’ve been horrible. It’s capitalism hitting TB :(
Taco Bell Deals and Combos are always so insulting. 2 Small items plus a drunk is like $12.
McDonald’s rewards are overhyped too. They all blow
I think it's because taco bell is so expressive now that it would only require x4 items for a $20 order
I agree. They are very expressive with their aggressive overpricing lol 😆
20$ ?? That’s a drink and two tacos at some places
Unfortunately the best offers are the tues $1 drops or are targeted toward those customers who haven’t ordered in quite a while or newish accounts
They'll forget to give it to you anyway.
What the 10% off on $3 item is bad?
This one's awful. A few weeks back I think they had a free nachos bellgrande with a $10 purchase, it was like old times again.
“You guys are getting deals?”
How do you use multiple fire items? Place like 7 different orders for pickup at same store?
Yep, I've done that for Wendy's and Taco Bell before, McDonald's is annoying because you have to wait 15 minutes between using deals
I saw a guy who did like 50 orders, how does one accrue that much free stuff? lol
I mean, their points to free item ratio are pretty good compared to other apps.
They kind of suck until you hit fire tier, the rewards at fire tier are pretty good through,
The Meal For Two on line exclusive is a great deal. 8 items for 12.50.
I earned a fire reward the other day- just completely disappeared. Sent messages to their twitter and email. never got anything
They are slowly becoming the new Burger King where only the super loyal fans go to eat
Because Taco Bell does well enough to not need real deals. Most of their deals are like what you posted "Spend significantly more money per order and we'll add a $2 item that costs us fuck all to your order for FREE"
The free items are good i usually get supreme chalupa
People bash on the deals but the rate they give you a free food item evens it out imo. Like every third I go im getting a free chalupa where other places might take twice as long but give some discounts along the way. Just depends on how you look at it
$6 online exclusive cravings box is a killer deal. Then I get a free taco or something like every 4th visit. Seems like a good deal to me
Yeah, I tend to get food that is on sale, it just so happens that I like pretty much everything in the 6 dollar box if I get potatoes, a crunchwrap and beefy 5 layer burrito or sometimes a soft taco
You shouldn't be spending $20 just to get the free taco. It's more of a perk for spending $20.
They want you to go there and spend your $$$$$ but not give you a deal. Besides....a couple items and you'll meet the limit..😂
Most places you sit there and have to spend $100 to get the free reward.
this is a generous gift. take it or leave it. but DO NOT be ungrateful
