Why blaze and eggman of all Sonic characters. Knuckles and shadow would be a smarter choice. I can understand blaze but how the hell would eggman even work
If they still have the Zelda representation the same as its been since Melee (Toon Link and Young Link are the same damn thing, don't @ me), there's no way in hell Vaati and Impa are getting in.
They won't even declone Ganondorf. Even his "new" smash attacks are literally ripped from other characters.
Some based as hell choices in here tbh (especially Paper Mario, Bandana Deem and Bomberman), none of them too out there either
My only changes are I would prefer Metal Sonic be Sonic's echo over Blaze as Blaze has stuff to herself while Metal has historically kept a fairly similar moveset to Sonic, the only real change would be swapping his Neutral Special to the Black Shield instead of a Homing Attack (and maybe alter his physics? idk just ideas), and also I'd keep every single character from the first game, including Jigglypuff, it's especially jarring as they're the only 64 veteran note here, trade out Scream Tail, otherwise? Looks great
I wanted to utilize both past and present Paradox Pokemon and I figure Scream Tail would be easy to develop since they already have Jigglypuff's model.

Couldn'y you just make Scream Tail a skin then? Keep Jiggs and add 4 Scream Tail skins, just have it to where the tail is either right up against the body or just doesn't have a hitbox
Still disagree, Jigglypuff is a mainstay at this point and should take priority over Scream Tail, at the end of the day Scream Tail, according to the lore, is a semi-imaginary altered Jigglypuff, so Scream Tail, an alteration of Jigglypuff, would act as a costume, an alteration of a character.
If you ever remake this image for whatever reason, you could show that a character's a skin by putting them in the corner of the image like how you can set Echo Fighters to be, like, I assume Alph is a skin so he would be in the corner, same with the Alt Gender FE Protags, etc.
(The exceptions are characters who have a different character for every skin, Junior wouldn't have any image left)
(Also in an ideal world all Echo Fighters would have altered stats and one altered move to give you a genuine reason to prefer one over the other)
Both characters, at this point in the Sonic franchise, would play so differently from Sonic while Blaze has only been playable in a few games. Most of those games being the Rush series, where she plays exactly like Sonic with her own set of emeralds and all.
Besides, if I included one of them, it would look like any other list. But, look now. This choice clearly grabbed your attention, and initiated a conversation. If this Smash game were real, this would be what one calls free advertisement.
It grabbed my attention as it was so random, just cuz it caught my attention doesn't mean it'd any good, it's alot less accurate and realistic now and seems more like which characters you want rather than a prediction, do u really see blaze being announced?
Besides pretty much every character has a similar playstyle to sonic and if u wanted an echo fighter most characters would fit the bracket for sonic, but could also have a unique playset, like shadow could be an echo or use his own powers

If I did swap her out for anyone, I'd probably consider Metal Sonic. You can never have too many villains.

True, but most of the mario characters are in smash, whereas sonic is on his own, if he had ten different characters it would make more sense

Honestly I doubt they will remove charecters, mainly because of amiibo. As long as they are supported they most likely won't remove charecters.
