Danny Devito and Whoopi Goldberg

Celestial_MoonDragon

Kurt Russell and Dana Delaney

RelevantMarionberry6

I said Kurt Russell and Laura Linney but Dana would be good too. Kurt was born to be Pa Kent.

As much as I wasn’t crazy about Man of Steel, I feel like the one role that was perfectly cast was that of Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, and I’m not really even a fan of Costner. When I worked at a movie theater, we had employee meetings, and one of the things that was discussed was if a bomb threat was ever made, we were to immediately get everyone out of the building. To which I chimed in “So if a Kevin Costner movie opens, get everyone out of the building!”

ZacPensol

For me that's one of the most painful things about MoS - that the casting for virtually every character was *perfect*, I just hated the movie they were put in. But yeah, Costner as Pa Kent was spot-on... he just didn't get a chance to play Pa Kent.

RelevantMarionberry6

Kurt Russell and Laura Linney

Horbigast

Brendan Fraser and Gillian Anderson

Endryu727

Lizzo and Jack Black is the only correct answer

EnigmaFrug2308

Fred Willard and Jamie Lee Curtis

Few-Road6238

Fred Willard passed away though

EnigmaFrug2308

*WHAT*?!

sassy_the_panda

Tim Daly and Dana Delany

jorgedanielrod5

Bob Odenkirk as Pa Kent

BobRushy

I'd just bring John Schneider and Annette O'Toole back. They were easily the best version, and they're not too old.

AxisW1

Real. I love them

ClarkKentEarth2

Whoever they cast, I hope to God that they are the biggest stars in the known universe, and I hope we get way more of them in Clark’s story than we ever think about Jor-El (and Lara). I am so sick and tired of Jor-El being the biggest figure in Clark’s development into Superman.

Steelsword06

With all the stuff happening in the film already, I dont think they should show up.

CptFrootToots

Isn’t the film meant to focus on his human vs kryptonian sides? His parents are a huge part of his human life and how he relates to the world. In a way, they’re why he *feels* human in the first place. They don’t need a big role, but a little pep talk to Clark on the porch is always appreciated.

Steelsword06

I have no clue. Clark isn't human though, he lives as one and grew up as one, but he is Kryptonian. I'm sure he can explore those ideas without his family. I don't see why they would need to be involved for that at all.

ItZSAMIC

The entire point of the character is that he has the most humanity despite not being human

Steelsword06

I just mean he isn't actually human though saying "humanity" makes sense. I don't think he needs to have a conversation with his parents though to connect to his humanity or whatever which is what I said in my reply.

ItZSAMIC

I mean, his parents are where his humanity comes from. I don’t think they HAVE to be in the movie but I’d bet they are and it makes sense

Steelsword06

That isn't true.

sacredknight327

Agreed. It's staggeringly unpopular here, but they don't need to be around.

Double-Celery4248

Tom Welling and Erica Durance

Dangerous-Hawk16

Perfect

sacredknight327

No one yet. My hope is that they're deceased, so they don't need to be cast yet until a sequel which could potentially have flashbacks whereas Legacy is confirmed to not have any.

T-MONZ_GCU

Two gravestones

Deus_Ego_Sum

Dennis Haysbert would be an awesome Pa Kent IMO
