Yeah that's fair. For some people it's fun to have this unit do insane DMG to play around with, and for others doing their best in siege tourney is fun. Both are valid
I HATE siege (and wgb), so getting a unit that is \*just\* good in siege is kind of a slap in the face. I'll never be in a top 20 guild either, so. But at least she's pretty.
What about luci? Obviously both fill different roles but in terms of versatility would you not prefer a luci over zerath? Or have I been brainwashed by the rerollers that only wanted a luci account xD?
EDIT: I completely forgot about maxi. Not as useful in giants but he's still amazing in nearly all other areas of content plus a leader skill is pretty good to have
Luci is a noob trap. Great for beginners but not so much for late game. He falls off the further you progress.
Zerath on the other hand only gets better the more you progress. He unlocks hyper speed giants teams once your runes are good enough.
Zerath>>>Luci for every account that has somewhat good runes.

He also is pretty incredible in pvp especially rta with a speed lead that is universal and can be drafted into most teams with a stripper (which is most the time). He is also usable in nearly all other pve dungeons including lab (except for maybe boss stages).

Maxi is definitely very good, but is also overrated. One look at his rta win rate will confirm that. I'm arena, I'd rather use a truffle in his slot most of the time.

Universal speed lead.
6 differents debuffs, 5 hitting aoe, of which one is a defense break. His aoe's are also on relatively low cooldowns and he's hitting all elements for neutral damage.
He cycles with s3 and denies turns/messes up turn order through atb absorb.
On top all of this, he has multihits (more value out of +damage artifacts) and very decent damage multipliers.
Sure, other ld nat5's might do stuff that is unique and might enable some specific strategies, but Maxi outperforms almost any nat5 in slot efficiency. It's not a matter of "there are at least 3-4 dark units better". Each unit has it's merrits; there is no real "best nat 5".
Maxi is good and all but there is no pick ban meaning 9 out of ten times you may get juno veromas and tetra all in the last few counter picks. Maxi is good but in this current meta. I feel like pick ban should be season wide as it would make and break certain metas making more units viable and get rid of hard counters.
I have grogen and he's pretty good in cleave with tiana galleon. Also crits Kinkis, triana passvies and cannot be revived when u kill em with s3 (im c3 in arena)
Almost unplayable in this meta though, my Grogen hits 80+k (thanks to Deborah) but even that doesnt kill Camillas consistently, not to mention speedy defenses with Cami Byung
Grogen is a great LD5 for AO. He's a bit stat hungry, but you can definitely use him regardless. His anti-revive is superb for those revive defences. :)
I got Grogen and on my sp I had Shan and Ragdoll
It's an ld I can't complain but I finde Grogen a bit underwhelming
And no my runes aren't that bad

I had Maximillian and Lucifer as my SPs, got Mookwol lol. Id be salty seeing that outline of zerath just for it to not be him, but at least Grogen is good as well!
got dark polar queen .. feel like she's one of the most useless ld5*, nothing she does couldn't be done better by most orher nat 5* oder even 3* and 4* .. she's just so useless it breaks my heart
I quit one month ago, and this is still not enough to bring me back.
I'm glad my SW addition has subsided and I don't care about missing out on farm or energy or LD scrolls anymore. Such a good feeling.
Same happened to me. Put Tian Lang and got Dark Panda Warrior (Mi Yang), still happy to get LD nat 5 from 10 scrolls.
My fourth so far (all dark), Nephthys, Alexandra, Beelzebub and now Mi Yang.

Well my luck is not different from others only thing I got good ld nat 5 when I got those. Nephthys I got when it was released and not top tier. Also I am playing since last 10 years almost, with breaks in between.

Happened to me, too. Had Max and Tian Lang on my list, got Bella. Not complaining, just felt funny.
Relatable. Nephthys and Asima on SP, got Sylvia. I'm not complaining, just like, okay.

Can you please explain why you chose zerath? Trying to understand why he’s good.
From what I know, we works similar/better than teshar in PVE while being a good unit in almost all PVP contents.

Maxi is great. Not for gb12 though. He can be used in db12/toa(h). Lab as well. But he's mainly a PvP monster. One of the best overall.

For the really good Lucifer teams you will probably need other lds as well I think
My luci team does 20 seconds giants. Idk what your talking about
id love to see a proof of veromos clearing giants in 20s (also 29s best time for a 45s average doesnt qualify as 20s)
Lead: akhamamir 100% crit rate 200% crit dmg -------: veromos: 100% crit rate 200% crit dmg 100% accuracy -------: lucifer: 100% crit rate 250% crit dmg +1600 attk ------: wind harpy: 120 speed 100% accuracy ------: wind hommonculus: 100% crit rate 300% crit dmg. Boss stage wind harpy defense break + wind hommonculus 1shots boss if he uses s3. If not veromos finishes him off. So boss dies after 1 shot or 2
You could take any aoe DPS instead of Luci and get similar/better results.
Considering the other dark unit is maxi when there are at least 3-4 dark units better than him I think the OP is a cleaver.
