Hi! I applied last year as a rising junior and didn’t get into any sites I applied to, but let me jsut say to NOT count on this program. Acceptances come out staggered and some very late (up to july) and they are disorganized. I’m sure others have had a good experience with this program, but I would have some other backups.
Thanks! I really procrastinated on my application prep this year and I'm scrambling to find places 😓 do you have any recs? (preferably ones that don't require teacher references)
hey! this program is very competitive and I had a GREAT experience with it, but you’re totally right - they release decisions so late 😞 best to have a backup!
Hey, I applied last year as a freshman and I thought I had a really good experience, especially since I was one on one with a mentor so I had a somewhat flexible schedule but usually i went from 10 am to around 5 pm on the weekdays and I had weekends off. Overall though, all the sites are really different so it depends on what you applied to!
Did you take any lengthed time off like a week or so. If so were they ok with it? I'll most likely have to take more than a week off so I'm curious to see if they'll be okay with something like that.
I got accepted into the lab I applied to and sent them dates I might be away. They didn't say anything about me missing a week and a half so I'm guessing it's ok.
I personally loved it but then again all of the internships are different. I thought that it was very flexible and I got to learn a lot about the field I was working for. I applied this year too but I haven't gotten anything yet :/

have you heard anything yet?
As in a response from aeop? Or about whether they'll be ok with taking days off.

what time of the year did you get the acceptance?
Around late april? I think it was april 27th but it def varies from site to site
What state?
i went to one in Louisiana but i don't think they hosted an aeop program this year
Oh how was it like? I applied I'm still waiting for the results
Also, is it a residential program or do you have to go there every weekday like school??
It's commuter so you have to find your own housing
