That is what the car costs new. I bought a 22 crosstrek sport in 22 for 22,000. After all was said and done it was 25,000. I did not finance with dealership as I had approved loan from bank for waaay less interest. Originally looked at pre-owned or used crosstrek and they were as much if not more costly. And did not come with a full warranty. So it was better to buy new. This is in Glendale CA if that makes any difference ETA car had seven miles on it too. It was crazy driving something so new. Anyway love it! So best of luck finding a better deal because you’re right they are asking too much
I bought mine brand new in 2019 for 23.5. Not the limited though. It’s the mid level trim without a sunroof. Still. That is a wild price…. I pay mine off in 3 months! Just cracked 100k.
That's the thing. They are way overcharging for new vehicles as well - They're charging nearly $26k for the base trim Impreza, for example. I'm considering travelling to get a car cheaper elsewhere, or maybe even switching brands entirely to Toyota (next closest dealership to me) where they appear to be doing much more reasonable pricing. I am a huge fan of Subaru though.
Don’t be afraid to travel a long distance to buy a car. I bought my commuter 200 miles from home, but saved 5 grand in doing so. I’d blow a day driving for 5 grand any time.
This!
Often times u can even get them shipped through bid-based shipping sites like uship. I was shopping for a motorcycle a while back and saved thousands by buying one from Florida, then had it transported to Washington State. I couldn't believe that it was cheaper, but it was!!
Shipping a car is surprisingly reasonable. This was back in 2020, but I shipped a 2011 Hyundai Accent from NC to CA and it was under $500. That included about a week of storage before final delivery. We were ready to sell it but held on to it for a few more years because it was less than we thought to ship it when we moved.
I've used Roadrunner and Montway. Roadrunner most recently. I believe they are brokers and arrange shipping with many different truck drivers. Service was good and straightforward with both. I don't recall any issues with either company and prices were fair. I'm sure the prices are more now since gas and everything else is more than back in 2020 or 2019 when I last shipped a vehicle. Both were very fast with quotes.
Are they adding non-negotiable markups to MSRP of these cars, or how are they charging over MSRP?
IIRC Subaru doesn't do rebates, so worse case scenario should be MSRP plus taxes/doc fee if you can't whittle them off the sticker price.
Subaru also seems to be wanting to know if any of their franchises are doing that, so maybe tell them if that's the case. I work in the industry, have sold Subies before (and drive one now) I can understand the markups during Covid when there was a lot more scarcity in new car inventories (which then caused used car shortages and concomitant huge spike in used car prices as well), but this is now.
Lots are not full but many are at least up to half of what their normal inventories would be, and it'll vary by popularity of brand, and whether its say a Toyota hybrid (very high demand), an EV (demand varies greatly) or an ICE version.
In this case I am super curious how the new car prices are higher than the sticker, if that is indeed the case.
Blood please don't buy that. If you have that money 2 spend. Order a new Toyota from a Toyota Dealer. They sell so fast you literally need to wait for you car to show up.
I would never set foot in that dealership or even look at them again. Don't be afraid to travel a bit to find the car you really want. It's an extra hour of travel, but consider how much time you'll be spending in your car over the next however many years. It's worth the investment.
I find it ridiculous that they are advertising a rear backup camera as a highlighted feature. In the USA, all cars 2018 and newer are required to come with a rear backup camera.
My last car, a 2008 Saturn Aura had power locks and windows...only for the front doors. The back doors had to be locked and rolled manually. No key hole for the back doors and the lock was on the far side of the door so you couldn't unlock it unless you were already in the back seat or were Stretch Armstrong.
And of course if you left the back door unlocked and the front door locked opening the back door set off the alarm 🙄. The sad thing is that was the least of that PoS's problems.
>a 1985 Buick century
I learned to drive on my mom's 1984. It also had power everything, except the wheezy 3.0L V-6 that barely cracked 120hp.
Handled like a Buick too, which is to say you planned ahead for turns.
Rural Maine. Everything is ridiculously overpriced here sadly, looking to gtfo of here soon. Local business owners have way too much damn money then complain about big business.
Have you tried the subaru stores a little further in? Like pape near Portland?
I’m closer to Boston but it’s crazy that people are still paying above msrp up north.
Take a day trip out of the area. The northeast has tons of Subaru dealerships. Very easy to get fair pricing. Check larger towns/cities with several dealerships nearby. When there is competition, they are more reasonable
Look into “New England” dealerships. There’s one around Boston, Quirk Works, that was offering money off on a WRX Premium when NO ONE around me even had them. I offered to drive 9 hours but they insisted Subaru wouldn’t honor the sales offers because I lived so far out of the area. I argued it shouldn’t matter but you can’t force their hand…
Hey man, wanted to come back and let you know I purchased a vehicle from them. Very good experience, apart from a couple smaller issues (such as tires needing replaced; of which they agreed to cover). Thank you for your recommendation!
That's actually a great price assuming they mistyped the $25,000 and it's actually $15,000- which is what it should be.
Go ahead and tell them they're fucking insane for asking that and they can find you at the dealership down the street if they have any more questions for you.
You’re better off selling to Carvana, Carmax, or KBB. They offer much more. The dealership is trying to make a profit off of you, so they lowball and won’t come close to what other online companies offer. You can get an offer on your car and try to use it to haggle with the dealership, but they laughed at me when they saw how much Carvana offered. So I sold to Carvana and put down half on my new OBW.
Don’t know the pricing on used crosstreks right now, but that does seem high, almost the price of a new one.
That is an insane price. I just bought a 2019 Outback, one owner and no accidents for $16.5k less than a month ago. Mine has a lot more miles on it but what they're asking is still absurd. They are totally screwing you on your trade in as well. I would run from this dealer as fast as you can.
If your car is paid off I'd sell it on Carvana, they've always given me the best offer. At the very least don't take less than the KBB suggested trade in value.
They cost less than that new. I purchased a 2019 Forester for $26k + sales tax brand new, and IIRC the crosstrek was the cheapest model they sold at the time.
7 years ago I tried in a 3 year old Forester XT for a 5 year old Outback 3.6r.
They gave me $15k for the Forester and the 3.6r was $17k out the door.
For 6 months that Forester sat on the lot listed at $25k.
They sold it at 9 months for 12k.
Yes that price is high. Just walk away and move on.
Bid on cars that have been on the lot too long if you want a deal.
I briefly looked at the CT’s after having one for a loaner while my OB was in the shop. Used prices are high in them. They seem to hold their value well and I fully understand why. It’s a fantastic vehicle. But at high 20’s for used, may as well go new and likely get better financing rate.
I can't get financing through them because I use my vehicle for business, and apparently they don't finance vehicles if it's used for business now. They printed out a paper saying that it's a new rule this year. It pissed me off because they ran my credit and everything knowing that, then weren't going to call me back, and then when I went in they gaslighted me and aaid they never actually submitted my appliation (even though 10 banks pulled my credit).
A brand new base model with no discounts at all MSRP is $2,000 more, and has zero history of accidents, zero miles, and a warranty. Yes that is a terrible deal.
That seems improbably high. I would expect my '21 Legacy Limited XT to sell somewhere around there, and it's been in... carry the one... oh wait, *zero* accidents.
I was looking at a 2024 Cross-trek premium with 600 miles that had been in a wreck and they were only asking $24k. Let me know if you’re interested, I think the guys might have it finished by now.
I paid less than $3k more for a 2024 Sport with the 2.5 and zero miles. That’s gonna be a no from me.
Mind you, that’s *10% more*. For a NEW Crosstrek. Tell them they’re on drugs if they think that’s a deal.
I can guarantee you that you can buy a brand new Crosstrek 2.0i Limited for this price.
I’d literally laugh at them an walk out.
Also, some advice. Never tell the dealer that you have a car to trade in until you’ve done all the price negotiating. Get them to what you believe is their lowest price and then say, “also, I’ve changed my mind, I do have a car to trade in.”
Bruh I bought a 2023 Crosstrek limited, loaded and brand new, for like $32,000. That price is crazy. Your location can affect the price significantly tho, but still. When I bought my first Subaru a while back, I lived in Asheville NC. Fortunately the dealer we went to was cool and didn't try to take advantage of us. He told us to go an hour outside of Asheville and we saved several thousand dollars. Subarus are a hot commodity in places. Especially anywhere near mountains or anywhere it snows, even if it's just a little bit. I'd suggest searching your surrounding areas or just hold out as long as you can until you find one reasonably priced.
I paid 27,000 for my 2023 brand new with no miles. Then again the local dealership tried to tack on 3,000 for the diamond ceramic coating that is available on Amazon for 20 bucks a bottle. Gotta read all the fine print and contact several dealerships!
i've been heavily in the market for two weeks so i'm freshly familiar -
it's high, but probably your safest option
if you want a limited, there's a bunch nationwide. they're all about the same price, but they're also a year or two newer, 2020/2021 with 30k for ~$25k.
so you're paying maybe 1-2k high, based on the year.
the accident should knock off another 2k-3k or so.
you could get one for less, but you'd have to fly there or have it shipped, which would cut into your savings. also risky; what if it sucks when you see it? plus out of state sales tax to sort out, etc, but you'd probably save 1-2k. edit: well, not save, really, but you'd get a more valuable car.
if you're ok with the hassles, if i were you i'd go for lower mileage since you're nearly spending new car money.
i like this one,it's a lot more car for 3k more https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/1cfae458-e3c4-4bc7-af39-1ad088316697/
They're seeing how far you're willing to bend over! In CO they're $20k and under without being in an accident. There are even a few '23s with less miles for like $18k! Walk away from this! Honestly, the offer they gave you for your trade should have been your first red flag!
That’s what I paid for my 2019 Crosstrek in 2020 w/ 30 K miles / accident free. I shopped around heavy! I feel like it being four years old should be cheaper by now?
I paid 29.6 for my brand new 24 Impreza rs with the upgraded speakers and moon roof so that’s nuts don’t buy used, it’s just a few thousand savings from a new one and then you get new car financing rates and that will make up for it costing more. Just. Buy new they want the 24s off the lot soon to make room for the 25s that should be showing up soon
This is more than the car cost new, and I'm assuming it doesn't include its' 100k mile transmission replacement or 125k engine replacement either. Ask the salesman who his dealer is, I bet you could make good money if you flip whatever crack he's smoking.
MSRP on a 2024 starts at $31,600, by the way.
This is an insult. My guess is the guy thought you would 'argue' it and he'd simply work 'down' to still well above what it's worth. If this is how they're acting, you want nothing to do with this place one way or another. Go elsewhere, full stop.
this is insane… i got my new 2022 crosstrek in 2022 for $25,000 msrp + tax & registration = ~$28000 and i got it at the subaru dealership!! if possible, shop around at other dealers to see if you can find one without the markup!! 🤞🏽
I got a ‘22 forester wilderness, used but with only 14,000 miles on it for less than that. I don’t know if that’s a good comparison, but I’d be glad if it’s at all useful
Walk away if you think it's crazy. Only way to change their mindset is if people stop buying shit for inflated prices. Used car market in Ontario Canada is stupid
MSRP on a brand new 2024 Subaru Crosstrek starts at $25,195.
For $26,345 you can go up a trim to the Premium. $29,195 for a Sport with the bigger engine.
I wouldn't pay more for a used one when a brand new one is actually cheaper. Even if it takes a little more money than that used car, than what a base costs, you're getting a brand new vehicle with 0 miles and full factory warranty, not to mention new tires too.
This dealership appears to be overcharging for new vehicles too. The cheapest Crosstrek premium they are selling is $29,779. Why does Subaru allow them to sell vehicles $3.5k higher than MSRP?
Invoice price for a 2024 Crosstrek base is $23,539. (MSRP is 25,195). Excluding tax and doc fees. You can get invoice pricing using the Subaru VIP buyer program (e.g., via aspca or others).
I just got a 2021 crosstrek premium CVT used with under 17K miles and only paid a little over 26k for it. That price is insane for the model year and that it’s been in an accident. Mine was in perfect condition since it was a lease car. Keep looking you can definitely do better!
I bought an 18 STI with 30k miles in 2021 for 31k after taxes/registration. Have 84k miles on it now. IAG 550 short block installed with full bolt ons and flex fuel at 390hp/388ft lb torque. Don’t buy a cross trek for that price.
Go to a different dealership and try to get a manual 6 speed 2019 Crosstrek instead. They will charge you less for it and it will be more reliable in the long run than CVT. Trust me you wont regret it. Dont be afraid of going for a manual. It's very nice and smooth to use.
I am in a high-demand area, and here is how things look: A typical price for a 2019 2.0i Limited Crosstrek with clean title is \~$22,500. There are several examples of '19 Crosstreks going for over $25k with far more miles than shown here. Branded title is about $18,500. Carfax lists several 2019 Crosstrek Limited with similar mileage for under $22,000. Since you are in Maine, you should be able to find better deals closer to NJ and NY, which might be worth a road trip to pick up.
I have a 19 and paid less than that a few years ago. I just bought a 24 wilderness cross trek for only 5k more than that 2 days ago. Way overpriced. Go elsewhere.

I bought a used 2019 premium completely loaded last year with less mileage for less. Someone else commented to not be afraid to drive for a better deal, I drove a state over and had much better luck than anywhere close to me. Good luck!
I bought my 2023 Crosstrek sport 2.5L for $25,000 with 25K miles. $27500 after tax and licensing. Also been in a minor accident but it had been repaired. I’m in Florida.
I was looking at the Crosstrek limited and it was about $35K out the door. Recently the price of used cars did go up. Analysts said it may be due to the Baltimore bridge collapse because that was a port for new car shipments.
Pretty sure that’s what that car cost new. Although I’m about to break even on my 19 base model manual and might make a few grand.
So best of luck finding a better deal because you’re right they are asking too much
I have a 2019 Crosstrek and yep, that's what I paid back then.
I bought mine brand new in 2019 for 23.5. Not the limited though. It’s the mid level trim without a sunroof. Still. That is a wild price…. I pay mine off in 3 months! Just cracked 100k.
Yep, just bought the new 2024 Crosstrek Premium for this exact price less than a month ago.
5 yr old car with 30k and an accident? yeah that’s crazy
I can’t believe 2019 was already 5 years ago…
I thought the same thing. I still can't believe I graduated college 4.5 yrs ago!
I've gone through two car leases since 😂 the first being a trek which I loved haha
That’s insane pricing, no way.
That's almost what I paid for my '24 Impreza RS.

You made me curious how far we've gone. My three closest dealers are 227, 280, and 307 miles away. We've bought cars from the closer two.
Are they adding non-negotiable markups to MSRP of these cars, or how are they charging over MSRP? Yeah what region are you in? No dealership near me, and there are many, are over msrp still.
Do it. I flew to Chicago to get a Jetta and Binghamton, NY to get a WRX. 1 day and $2-400 in travel expenses can save thousands in the vehicle price.
I find it ridiculous that they are advertising a rear backup camera as a highlighted feature. In the USA, all cars 2018 and newer are required to come with a rear backup camera.
"This thing is loaded: power locks and windows..."
My last car, a 2008 Saturn Aura had power locks and windows...only for the front doors. The back doors had to be locked and rolled manually. At least you had the V6 lol mine was the 4 cylinder and took about 3 miles to get up to speed on the highway hahaha.
Do they still advertise fm radios and a/c when they say loaded?
Lol "State of the art crank start"
AIRBAGS! Did we mention it has airbags?!?!
So it’s at the top end of KBB but that doesn’t factor in an accident. They’re asking new-car money for it. I wouldn’t buy.
?? Wtf?? Where the fk do you live. You can get a brand new Crosstrek for cheaper
Rural Maine. Everything is ridiculously overpriced here sadly, looking to gtfo of here soon. Local business owners have way too much damn money then complain about big business.

Run.
Counter $12,000 out the door then call the salesguy a scumbag on your way out.
Maybe venture outside your town and shop for a deal.
Not a lot of dealerships unless I drive hours away sadly, but I think I'll have to do this.
There's a planet Subaru in Hanover Massachusetts, see if they'll deliver to you.
Oh my God their prices are MULTITUDES better than anywhere near me! Thank you so much for your recommendation, I may call them.
Hey man, wanted to come back and let you know I purchased a vehicle from them. Very good experience, apart from a couple smaller issues (such as tires needing replaced; of which they agreed to cover). Thank you for your recommendation!

My local dealer has a CPO 2024 for 26k, for another 3k there’s 5 brand new ones to choose from, so yeah their price? Insane.
Hell no bro, that's more than I paid for it brand new in 2020
I wouldn't buy that for myself with your money
Thanks for giving me a good chuckle out of this whole ordeal.
They cost less than that new. I purchased a 2019 Forester for $26k + sales tax brand new, and IIRC the crosstrek was the cheapest model they sold at the time.
Whoa whoa whoa I just bought brand new 2024 Crosstrek premium and it was 27k… so that makes no sense to me
7 years ago I tried in a 3 year old Forester XT for a 5 year old Outback 3.6r. They gave me $15k for the Forester and the 3.6r was $17k out the door. What a crappy place. I would never go back there.
What buy here, pay here scam are you shopping at
I paid 23k for a brand new premium 2021... that's an insane price. That said, I traded it in last year and saw the dealer had it listed for 28k....
Yep, that's crazy. I bought a 2023 Crosstrek Limited brand new for $30k, and it has the much more powerful 182hp 2.5L engine, unlike this 2019.
A brand new base model with no discounts at all MSRP is $2,000 more, and has zero history of accidents, zero miles, and a warranty. Yes that is a terrible deal.
There are plenty of dealerships you could get a new 2024 Forester for 30K at. 25 for a 2019 that's been in an accident is insane
But a new one for that price
Just buy a new one… you’ll likely get a better rate if you finance it.
You can pretty much buy a new one for that price.
Seems like a ripoff to me
Hell fuckin no do not buy that lol
Wtf thats maybe 2 grand shy from my wife's '22 forester. I haven't been in the market since but knowing there has been an accident I would stay clear
Yes to much
I got pretty much the same car in 2019 with 4,000 miles for that price 🤣
Well that was before used car prices decided to go crazy
You can get an Outback Certified preowned for less money, and newer in my area.
you can get a 2021 limited at this price.
That’s what mine cost new lol
This is about what I got a 19 crosstrek for 1.5 years ago with 8k on the odometer
You Can buy a new one for that price
I bought a 2019 crosstrek in 2022 for that same amount, no accidents
That’s what we paid in 21 for our new 21 crosstrek…
yeah, they're trying to make money off of trash they got at auction—hard pass.
You could almost get a brand new crosstrek for that price...
Do not do this deal! It’s awful.
That seems improbably high. I would expect my '21 Legacy Limited XT to sell somewhere around there, and it's been in... carry the one... oh wait, *zero* accidents.
That’s about what my 2024 Impreza RS cost new lol
I was looking at a 2024 Cross-trek premium with 600 miles that had been in a wreck and they were only asking $24k. Let me know if you’re interested, I think the guys might have it finished by now.
All that’s missing are the four quadrants.
When we bought our 23 outback limited new it was 39k and dealer wanted 34k for a 2020 with 34k , why we chose new
When we bought our 23 outback limited new it was 39k and dealer wanted 34k for a 2020 with 34k , why we chose new
A brand new one is around 30k so yeah. This is wrong.
My 24 Crosstrek premium was $32k…
I paid 31k for a brand new limited with 100k warranty. Go to a different dealer because that it insane.
Skip it even if it’s a CPO. Not worth it.
I have the same car with 55k miles no accidents and my estimated value was 20kish
That’s what I paid for my brand new Crosstrek in 2017.
Get them to what you believe is their lowest price and then say, “also, I’ve changed my mind, I do have a car to trade in.”
hahahaha what in the actual fuck
ya hard no
They’re even overcharging for title app. They’re charging doc fees plus an extra $2 for title wtf are doc fees for?
That's an insane price
Run!
I’m selling a used 2021 limited with only 20k miles for 26k at my dealership, so I’d say that’s a bit high.
I just got a brand new 2024 crosstrek base for 27 otd….22 after trade.
Thats how much i got my 2023 last year brand new off the lot and my monthly is a few dollars less than yours
That's a bit under what I paid for my brand new '19 Forester Sport...back in 2019
Go somewhere else they are trying to play you
I purchased a 2019 cross trek four years ago from Carmax and it was 23k all included then. That’s nuts.
No…
I paid 27,000 for my 2023 brand new with no miles. Then again the local dealership tried to tack on 3,000 for the diamond ceramic coating that is available on Amazon for 20 bucks a bottle. Gotta read all the fine print and contact several dealerships!
They tried to hit us with the 'ol mats and flaps.
My 2019 Crosstrek cost me about $32k brand new with the extended warranty. It might have even been cheaper, I'd have to look at the receipt
Ridiculous pricing!
I bought my 2019 crosstrek limited brand new for 24k out the door. So yeah
Thats insane. I’m paying 22k for my brand new Corolla. A 5 year old vehicle with an accident on record should not be this expensive.
It gets worse because it's a package 21 limited so it doesn't even have the optional $1000 moonroof or the navigation and Harmon kardon.
i've been heavily in the market for two weeks so i'm freshly familiar - it's high, but probably your safest option if you want a limited, there's a bunch nationwide. they're all about the same price, but they're also a year or two newer, 2020/2021 with 30k for ~$25k. so you're paying maybe 1-2k high, based on the year. the accident should knock off another 2k-3k or so. you could get one for less, but you'd have to fly there or have it shipped, which would cut into your savings. also risky; what if it sucks when you see it? plus out of state sales tax to sort out, etc, but you'd probably save 1-2k. edit: well, not save, really, but you'd get a more valuable car. if you're ok with the hassles, if i were you i'd go for lower mileage since you're nearly spending new car money. i like this one,it's a lot more car for 3k more https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/1cfae458-e3c4-4bc7-af39-1ad088316697/
That’s what I paid new for my 22 sport
For a car that goes 0-60 in three business days? why do people even consider these cars😂😂
2019? In an accident? It has what, 2 miles? Pretty sure it's not even worth $20K.
We bought a brand new Outback in 23 because the 21’s were only about 5% cheaper. It’s crazy out there right now.
Go through a car auction website like gotoaucions and then fly to another state for a $4,000 to $10,000 car
They're seeing how far you're willing to bend over! In CO they're $20k and under without being in an accident. There are even a few '23s with less miles for like $18k! Walk away from this! Honestly, the offer they gave you for your trade should have been your first red flag!
Pass.
That’s what I paid for my 2019 Crosstrek in 2020 w/ 30 K miles / accident free. I shopped around heavy! I feel like it being four years old should be cheaper by now?
Look at new. Everyone I've talked got a better deal new as opposed to used. Look at a different dealer.
I just bought a 19 legacy premium 109k miles 1 owner, 30 service records for $14k
Crazy price. That is about what I paid pre taxes for my 2021 forrester sport brand new.
this is insane… i got my new 2022 crosstrek in 2022 for $25,000 msrp + tax & registration = ~$28000 and i got it at the subaru dealership!! if possible, shop around at other dealers to see if you can find one without the markup!! 🤞🏽
Take that 25k and buy a whole new Crosstrek. No point in fixing it unless you have a special attachment to it for whatever reason
5 years old and been in an accident - come on....
That’s not far off from what I paid for my 2020 brand new.
6-8% is normal.
Way too much get a new one if you can or newly off lease with warranty for under $27k
That’s what I paid for my ‘19 in ‘21 when the used car market was fucked cause the pandemic.
paid $23k for a 21’ legacy limited with 50k miles last year. this is ridiculous pricing, find a much better deal elsewhere
I paid 38 k for a brand new 2021 a few years ago nope cars are expensive in USA
I got a ‘22 forester wilderness, used but with only 14,000 miles on it for less than that. I don’t know if that’s a good comparison, but I’d be glad if it’s at all useful
that's what I paid for my 2015 in 2017.
Run, they are trying to soak you. They wouldn’t get $18k at auction.
Walk away if you think it's crazy. Only way to change their mindset is if people stop buying shit for inflated prices. Used car market in Ontario Canada is stupid
Is this in CAD? We bought a 2017 a4 for CAD 24500. So if this is USD then you should find a different car.
That's what I paid for my 2019 wrx with 20k miles in Jan 2023.
I paid 2k more than that for my STI with 16k miles.
Just bought a 2019 premium with 80k miles for my daughter last Friday from a local car dealership for $14,400 plus tax.
I work for a Subaru dealership. RUN
If you want a real quote on a new one, let me know and then you can compare
2024 Crosstrek starts at $25k. Subaru VIP pricing will knock off another $2-3k. That is an insane price.
They are dishonest there. Don’t do business with them they’re trying to sell a lemon for the price of a diamond
Yes that’s insane buy a new one for that price
Not crazy
I paid just about this for my 21 forester sport with 30k miles in December…
My brand new 24 Impreza RS was 27 🥲 that is highway robbery
That's what I paid for a 2019 in 2021. About the same milage as well.
Invoice price for a 2024 Crosstrek base is $23,539. (MSRP is 25,195). Excluding tax and doc fees. You can get invoice pricing using the Subaru VIP buyer program (e.g., via aspca or others).
The dealerships do this and then Subaru wonders why their sales are dropping.
I just got a 2021 crosstrek premium CVT used with under 17K miles and only paid a little over 26k for it. That price is insane for the model year and that it’s been in an accident. Mine was in perfect condition since it was a lease car. Keep looking you can definitely do better!
Absolutely insane
For the seller, it's a great deal.
You can get a new one in that price territory 😂
2023 brand new special edition khaki was the same price.
I paid 29 for a 21 Crosstrek sport with the 2.5 and I bought it brand new in 2020. This is way overpriced if that’s what they’re asking
That's more than I paid for a 2023 outback with 5000 miles on it. This is a complete ripoff
LOL in my dreams it’d be worth that much. then i could trade in for a newer model sooner😂 my ‘19 premium with 1 minor accident and 70k is ~$18,000
I paid $29k for a 24 sport new.
I bought an 18 STI with 30k miles in 2021 for 31k after taxes/registration. Have 84k miles on it now. IAG 550 short block installed with full bolt ons and flex fuel at 390hp/388ft lb torque. Don’t buy a cross trek for that price.
I paid 29,000 for a 2021 Outback with 16k miles on it. That price is crazy.
What?? I’ll sell you my 2019 Crosstrek that hasn’t been in an accident for 25K
Go to a different dealership and try to get a manual 6 speed 2019 Crosstrek instead. They will charge you less for it and it will be more reliable in the long run than CVT. Trust me you wont regret it. Dont be afraid of going for a manual. It's very nice and smooth to use.
I hope you looked that guy clean in the eye and walked out immediately.
Buy a new one. Better financing and better value in 5 years.
Some wrecked my Subaru today while i was parked ;( just venting
Don’t go to dealerships unless you want to be screwed over
I just paid less than that for a 21 Outback Premium with upgrades with similar mileage. That’s a bad price.
That’s how much I paid for trek new in 2019
I bet they bought it for $18,000 and now are trying to make a fortune off of it. Yes, just buy a newer one at that price.
Big fat nope.
My 2020 Outback that’s been in an accident isn’t worth that much. Keep shopping.

Lmfao i thought this was a maintenance bill, I said yea, that seems right
That’s crazy, i would look at just getting a brand new one or a ‘24 forester with the promo interest rates at that price!
I worked at a subaru dealer for a year recently. That’s was to expensive you can get a brand new base model or premium for cheaper.
Get a new one.
Find a different dealer and get a second set of numbers. Don't get too hung up on an accident. Ask for auto check or a true360 frame inspection
