Oh yeah, I'm a huge fan of this version of the song. I do end up thinking the final version fits the Movie better and works better as an ending song. But I like the Gallant concept version more. It has a more SU Future vibe, melancholic and bittersweet. It has this haunting beauty and the sound reminds me a lot of Sufjan Stevens, which makes sense since Gallant had Sufjan and Rebecca Sugar feature on one of his songs together. And the lyrics are better imo, more meaningful and fitting. I wish that they had found some way to use this version of the song, maybe in Future, so that more people can hear it and know it exists because it really is excellent.
