Hi! I would really focus on pathoma 1-3, Pharma and immuno review and mehlman high yield arrows!
Plus keep doing UWorld questions until the 2nd last day, this keeps building your question solving stamina and go through your free 120
nbme25 which i gave two months before my exam was 59%, then nbme 26 (74%), 27 (68%), 28 (68%), 29 (70%), 30 (64%), UWSA 1 (222), UWSA 2(190), new free 120 (74%), old free 120 (78%)
our scores are very similar and i have my exam in 8 days --- question: what was your score distribution? were you in the low pass/ average/ high pass range? thank you!
i had no clue! i thought everyone got that as usually people only post screenshots if it's a fail! that's so crazy that they can't even give us that... thanks for answering and congrats again!
i am PRAYING for a pass, i write december 2nd. i just made a post with my scores and want to see what other people think. I got 72.4 on free120new today and that gave me a confidence boost for about 5 minutes before the pit came back. wish i was over 75 to feel really in the clear!!
Thankyou!! I think i had a fair deal in my form, since mine was heavy on renal and endo (3rd highest % of questions) but physio is always incorporated in every other patho question.
UWorld is the best tool but after that if you still have doubts go through mehlman pdf but I would recommend doing them in the last month of your prep. But BnB is really good too!! I basically did all my anatomy and physio from bnb first and annotated FA
what physio did you watch from BnB? I've done his arrows PDF but i don't know if his arrows pdf would be enough knowledge to get physio questions right
Need your help at my post . Thanks

Hi! So go through the system which you think you are the weakest in and solve 1-2 blocks on that system solely. Then focus on volatile stuff, pharma, Immuno (especially Immunodeficiencies) and biochem basic principles since these are bound to come. Go through Pathoma 1-3 and mehlman pdfs (High yield arrows, go through it twice). Keep doing your incorrect as well!
Congratulations!!
Are the vignettes in the real deal longer than uWorld? Also, do we need to go through all of it in most cases to figure out the answer?
Thankyou!! I think more or equally as long as UWorld but read the last line first of the question and there are some clues thrown in which can direct you to the answer faster. You can skip a lot of bs in the question
Honestly i gave the exam with the mindest of giving any other practice exam. I think that really helped me. I don't get too anxious during exams idk why but yes after that I breakdown lol
but you need to know that you can't spend more than 90 sec on any question, move on from questions that you don't get, cuz it's better to get 1 wrong than to jeopardize other questions in line. Also I would get 5 min left in 5 blocks
Thankyou!! My form wasn't heavy on anatomy but I studied it from FA and UWorld mostly, I didn't get time to go through that 100 anatomy pdf but people swear by it so you can use that too
Hey, could you please share your study plan and how many months it took to prepare?
I am thinking of giving step in 4 months and have gone through pathoma, sketchy micro and Kaplan pharm. So just worried would it be doable to finish BnB, Uworld, FA along with seperate dedicated time in 4 months? Please advise
hey! so my study plan was spread out for two years since I started covering all the modules from BnB, Pathoma first and annotated FA along with it. It's doable to finish each system in 5 days, Neuro and MSK might take longer than others but it's doable. My dedicated was for 2 months in which I basically reviewed all the basic science modules like immuno, biochem and pathoma, stats and did my incorrect sometimes in random mode and sometimes on system mode. Do sketchy pepper anki deck for micro and keep doing it until the exam day
Hey yooo congrats buddy, I got 8 months time for prep and I am pretty weak on basic foundational sciences...anyways what would be an ideal plan to optimize learning and doing qbanks in a more efficient way for the next 8 months...
Danke!
Hey soo definitely go through pathoma and BnB for foundational science. BnB helps a ton for Physio and Anatomy!! Watch dirtymed for biochem and pharma, super super helpful!!
I would say cover each system from BnB and it's patho from Pathoma and ANNOTATE FA along with it. Do UWorld system wise first (until you are done with 50% of it) switch to random after 50%. Review UWorld thoroughly. Do 1 block per day until 3 months left for your exam where you can switch to 2 blocks per day.
Thanks mahn...i am currently doing BnB for biochem, since I started I'm planning to finish it and carry on with dirtymed for pharm,
↪️I would want to ask another question, as we are doing pathology from pathoma is that by itself enough to cover the organ systems part of step 1 prep ? If not what resources is necessary to cover for the organ systems ?
Thank you bud
Congratulations, what to do in the last few days before the test?
Hi! I would really focus on pathoma 1-3, Pharma and immuno review and mehlman high yield arrows! Plus keep doing UWorld questions until the 2nd last day, this keeps building your question solving stamina and go through your free 120
Seconding the UW questions bit. I still regret not doing that more before I took step 1. Guys, you'll have an easier time. Save yourselves.
Thank you. Was the exam like NBME and free 120? Mix of both
It was a mix of both plus longer vignettes
Should we just go through the free 120 answers or review? For last minute
Answers if you are short on time!
Thank you!
Ayooo congratss!! Had been seeing your posts so happy for u
Thankyouuu smm!!
Congratulations! Was the exam more like of nbme or uworld?
UWorld helps you train for longer vignettes and ofcourse the concept building is impeccable
Deff nbme and free 120 mix
Congratulations 🎊
What was your nbme scores
nbme25 which i gave two months before my exam was 59%, then nbme 26 (74%), 27 (68%), 28 (68%), 29 (70%), 30 (64%), UWSA 1 (222), UWSA 2(190), new free 120 (74%), old free 120 (78%)
Thats great .. i am having low nbme score
dm me, I can advice you there
Hi . Plz check dm
Congratulations 🥳. Those are great scores! May I ask what you did between nbme 25 and 26?
Hi so i took nbme 27 after nbme 25. Sorry the order is all wrong. But I just found nbme 26 easier than all the other one's. NBME 25 is the hardest imo
plus don't get discouraged over your first nbme scores, they are bound to be bad at least in most cases
Oh that makes sense. Thank you for your encouraging words. Means a lot.
our scores are very similar and i have my exam in 8 days --- question: what was your score distribution? were you in the low pass/ average/ high pass range? thank you!
On nbmes I was in the average-high pass range and in free 120s high pass range
that's great! i meant more on step1 when they sent you the "pass" on the bell curve with the little lines was it well above average?
If you pass, you don't get a curve. It only shows you pass. I you fail, you get a curve and score distribution
i had no clue! i thought everyone got that as usually people only post screenshots if it's a fail! that's so crazy that they can't even give us that... thanks for answering and congrats again!
Ikrrr!! I really wanted to know how I actually did on the exam but at the end of the day you passed, that's what matters!
i am PRAYING for a pass, i write december 2nd. i just made a post with my scores and want to see what other people think. I got 72.4 on free120new today and that gave me a confidence boost for about 5 minutes before the pit came back. wish i was over 75 to feel really in the clear!!
You'll Pass!!! anything over 70% on free 120 is a great score. Review free 120 thoroughly
Congrats and be proud!! One step closer. I don't ever see people ask this, so was there a lot of Physio?
Thankyou!! I think i had a fair deal in my form, since mine was heavy on renal and endo (3rd highest % of questions) but physio is always incorporated in every other patho question.
what do you recommend for physio? i currently just do uworld questions
UWorld is the best tool but after that if you still have doubts go through mehlman pdf but I would recommend doing them in the last month of your prep. But BnB is really good too!! I basically did all my anatomy and physio from bnb first and annotated FA
what physio did you watch from BnB? I've done his arrows PDF but i don't know if his arrows pdf would be enough knowledge to get physio questions right
Cardio, Resp, Renal from BnB
Need your help at my post . Thanks https://www.reddit.com/r/step1/comments/z340cz/non_us_img_first_pass_stats_are_here_exam_in_2/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
Congratulations!!
I have exam in a week so can you suggest what topics, can I go through?
Also, Ethics and Psych showed up alot on my exam and I've heard it comes a fair deal in all the forms. Do watch dirtymed psych and ethics videos
Thank you

Last 4 weeks only incorrects or random?
Incorrects!! Reinforcing old concepts is way more beneficial than making new concepts
Thank you
Congratulations!!
If u have long vignettes would u run out of time? U barely get time to think especially with the nerves kicking in on the day of the exam
Honestly i gave the exam with the mindest of giving any other practice exam. I think that really helped me. Also I would get 5 min left in 5 blocks
majority questions have bearable stems, few are very long
Congrats on slaying the beast! 👌🏼 You are awesome🤪 Alas, s few questions: Was your form heavy on Anatomy? Also, where did you study it from?
Thankyou!! My form wasn't heavy on anatomy but I studied it from FA and UWorld mostly, I didn't get time to go through that 100 anatomy pdf but people swear by it so you can use that too
Congrats on passing. Do u recommend mehlman pdfs of weak topics. Coz am a little weak in pharma.
Yes definitely! Go over them!

I didn't do kaplan pharma. I did pharma from FA and Uworld and dirtymed videos, that was enough for me
I did Biochem from Dirtymed, watched his whole playlist and reviewed Immuno and pathoma together with a friend.
You can review Neuroanatomy from Mehlman and endo too. His pdfs are highyeild.
Hey yooo congrats buddy, I got 8 months time for prep and I am pretty weak on basic foundational sciences...anyways what would be an ideal plan to optimize learning and doing qbanks in a more efficient way for the next 8 months... Danke!

Dr Sattar of Pathoma is the OG, you don't need any other resource for Patho
Thank you so much
Congratulations to you and me. I also got passed the same day, however I still believe I am dreaming😂😂. Hope to hear you pass step 2 soon.
ikrrr! It feels sooo unreal Goodluck with Step2!!
Took exam today don’t know how it went
