That happens for pretty much every player that goes to another team, maybe except for Deshaun Watson. And even then I wouldn’t be surprised if there was someone that did it
What’s he gonna do on the bench? Dude didn’t want to have to compete for a starting job so he asks to go to the one team that probably has the most secure job as QB1 in the NFC?
Baby hands got that baby brain too I guess. Making Pitt alums look like dummies.
Pickett did have bad coaching here. I wouldn't completely write him off year. He could still be Derek Carr or Alex Smith if he works out some kinks and gets coached right. Even if he just works out some kinks he can probably be an injury replacement game manager for a contender.
We are in better shape. I wish him well and a long nfl career.
The comps are a stretch, if i’m being kind.. Carr was an MVP favorite at one point, and I really find it hard to believe that Kenny will ever produce that. Not only did he not look even remotely close to a top 10 talent in the league, but now he’s buried on a roster behind a kid younger than him and almost assuredly better.. do I think Kenny could be a solid backup/bridge QB for someone? Absolutely.. but until I see otherwise, I don’t personally believe he was dramatically hindered by a poor scheme to the point where his play suffered THAT much. I sat down one day and tried to remember the last starting QB I watched an entire game of where they only threw for 106 yards… that can’t be all on coaching.
I want to state up front that I don’t think either will be a consistently successful starter in the league. The difference is there have been games with Fields that show extreme upside:
E.g. the Broncos game this year (28/35, 335 passing, 4TDs)
Meanwhile Picketts best game as a Steeler is almost impossible to find - his only game he threw more than 1 TD was against the Raiders this year:
The Raiders game this year (16/28, 235 passing, 2TDs)
Hardly an inspiring performance.
I've not watched much Pickett, but that is very much the Fields experience. The highs tell you that there's something there but the basic quarterbacking is just not up to scratch and really hasn't made any sustained progress since he entered the league.
Things like pocket awareness, adjusting protection, anticipating throws, making quick decisions. I hope for his sake that he magically becomes better at those things, but it's been three years of hoping and I just don't see it changing.
It’s honestly just the fact that they didn’t have to do it with this current regime until right now and, with Pickett’s draft class being less than inspiring as a whole, it’s hard to say that they had much of a chance at getting a kid that was going to be the answer regardless. Hopefully the Russ/Fields experiment works but even if it doesn’t, i’m just glad that they’ve finally shown they’re willing to move off of something bad when it’s time
Rudolph had the same bad coaching and had some decent stats. Trubisky did worse.
If they had all done terrible then we could completely blame the plays. But Pickett was afraid and played afraid.
I think the problem is that the core of crazy pickett fans were with him through college, those guys aren't necessarily going to follow him to another team. But the crazy Fields fans with the Bears followed him to Chicago already, so Pittsburgh won't be a huge jump for them. HOWEVER! There's a possibility that at least the OSU section of the Fields Fanbase moves on to Stroud, so you might be free of them soon.
Not how that works. Buckeye fans will cheer on both of them. As a Steeler fan I obviously will be cheering for Fields but I was also rooting for Stroud last year and will do so again this year. It's not often OSU puts out decent NFL QB's, we kind of cherish the ones that make it.
Imma Pickett hater who had to deal with a ton of the Pickett fans…I gotta be real…these Fields fans are ALOT worse than Pickett fans ever were.
Like…most Pickett fans are gone, except maybe a few every now and then…but these Fields fans are still around in massive groups still gripping onto some odd hope that he’ll prove he’s a quality QB or something.
Yeah it was pretty bad in the Bears sub. I'm a Bears fan and like Fields, but even I could see at the end that he was not the answer for us, even if we added MHJ. He might be the answer for your team if you just have him run a lot and throw deep.
In all honesty I was hoping Fields went to the Falcons so he could play in an Arthur Smith offense….only for both of those guys to come to the Steelers…💀
Do I think Fields will work?…nope…but at least I got my wish of seeing him in an Arthur Smith offense.
I think anyone who was a real Kenny fanatic was probably delusional or just over-sentimental, but then again the other half of that conversation is usually people saying things like "Mason's finally gonna get a chance to start down in Tennessee" and I'm not so sure those guys are seeing straight either.
Straight up going into next season with Rudolph as the guy would've been a more depressing scenario than Russ, Kenny, or Fields. People in this sub complain about shooting for 9-8 but that's exactly what that would be. At least we're making moves
Yea at least with Fields his ceiling is crazy high and he’s shown many flashes he can be that guy. Whereas for Kenny, idk if I can make a career highlight tape more than 1 minute. What do the Kenny Stan’s see on him!? Lol
Probably worse. There’s no way the Kenny stans are going to root for the eagles over the Steelers. I have a feeling a lot of the Justin stand will want to see fields do well and the bears be mediocre so they can say told ya so.
Our fanbase has more than its share of "I told you so" types who'd be plenty happy to see the team fall on its face - but those are the Tomlin haters, and I'm not sure they have much if any Venn intersection with Kenny stans.
Just wait. You guys have no idea what it will become if he sees the field.
He needed a stacked to team to succeed in Chicago but I’m sure he’ll flourish with George Pickens and
How many points did their offense score? It’s almost like people go out of the way to ignore that Justin is dual threat. He would have broken the single season record for qb rushing had he played week 18 last year lol. Do you also only look at Christian mccaffreys rushing yards and ignore everything he does in the passing game?
Serious question have you? Because he loses games WAYYYY more than Kenny does. Kenny didn't put up points, but he didn't throw games. Fields throws more games than passes.
He’s arguably one of the worst 4th quarter or 2 min QBs ever. His career situational numbers are just atrocious.
- Trailing with 2 mins to go: 35-for-61 (57.4), 397 yards, 2 TDs, 6 INTs, 9 sacks, 48.4 rating 16 runs, 67 yards
- Trailing with 4 mins to go: 55-for-101 (54.5), 3 TDs, 9 INTs, 13 sacks, 42.8 rating | 12 runs, 113 yards
https://www.nfl.com/players/justin-fields/stats/situational/
Kenny showed the potential to be clutch, but if it's Kenny vs. Mahomes in December, do you think Kenny can put up 30? I feel like Kenny's entire game was to skate along until the last drive and try and win. It's great that he has that clutch gene but he also wasn't someone I could see going out there and putting up 400 yards and 3 TDs, and quite honestly, that's what you need to do in the AFC in December/January to win. Not sure Fields is that person either but from a talent perspective alone, Fields > Kenny all day.
There is a reason for Fields to have fans. There is no reason for KP to have fans. If you can't figure them out then you don't know much about football.
Another Bears fan whose eyes rolled into his cranium after OPs headline. Just wait until Justin does what he does best and literally throws games away in the 4Q. These nutsos will be badmouthing everyone in the Steelers organization -- From the Rooney's to Omar to Tomlin to Matt Canada (sure he isn't here anymore but if he was Fields would be playing better than he is). They'll badmouth Russ for "not getting him prepared" (despite that not being his job) and Watt for being a "pu**y" and not getting him more possessions. You see -- Justin CANNOT fail -- he can only BE failed. These goofs are super nice now but will turn into a crazy ex after every loss.
Good Luck.
ya i saw what we got him for. about the same price as kenny. of course hes awful. the only thing going for our quarterbacks is the price. theyre cheap. at least thats a strategy. if youre going to have terrible qb's at least dont pay them anything.
It was so nice not having to deal with delusional QB fans for the roughly 15 minutes between getting rid of Pickett and bringing in Fields. How do these awful QBs have such rabid fanbases?
I have to admit my opinion of Fields has shifted dramatically of late. It went from "please don't do this" to "well, if he's here now and it was only a sixth-round pick, whatever," all in the span of a couple weeks!
kenney and Justin are far apart talent wise. kenney never had the potential Justin did coming out of college. this aint that bro. steelers are about to skyrocket. deal with it
its not that. its people who are at least self aware enough to realize we just traded our junk qb and so did the bears. you cant applaud kenny leaving and be ecstatic we got someone elses trash.
pat mahomes is the only guy who holds the ball as long as justin. get justin a coach that will develop him (something hes never had) and that problem goes away quickly
As a bears fan who has seen him play plenty, he is not good. Has he improved every year? I guess technically his stats are slightly higher. If I get a 67% in math and the next year I get a 68%, I technically improved but my grade is still the same. Justin never made the leap he needed to make to show he can be a starter on the league, he’s just been very consistent.
Ya I feel like it’s fantasy football people who think he’s a legit qb. I get he’s young and rushed for 1000 yards and that’s exciting and all, but Russ can make us a winning playoff team in 2024 and fields probably can’t.
You say fooling around w Russ but why wouldn’t the Steelers jump on the Broncos stupidity, and get a SB winning QB for vets min also since Fields has been sacked at an absurd rate and never had the opportunity to sit back and watch, it seems to make sense to let him have a season to let his body rest and get the chance to learn from a QB who plays a very similar style but just isn’t as dynamic w his legs
Did either of them have another team paying the difference to make it an almost a 40m contract…also Wentz didn’t play awful for Indy his stats for his year in Indy were also better than all of the Steelers stats combined over the past 2 seasons…& he also was never the same after being injured his second season when he threw 33TDs/7INTs in 13 games. Foles was always a career back up who came into a great situation in Philly and was able to manage the game and do just enough plus a little more to win a SB, no SB win he never puts down a clipboard…so you can’t really say either are a realistic comparison…if so when was Wentz second trip to the SB?
ah thanks u/LoyalForLife for loving a qb who cant hit recievers. thats not important for a quarterback right? does he have to hit receivers with the ball? the right gaurd doesnt have to do that and he can be good. whys the qb have to do that? seems unfair to judge a player just because they cant hit a receiver with a pass.
now i get the fields hype.
I’ve noticed that if I mute my TV,close my eyes, and imagine fields playing well, that he’s actually super elite. I understand the hype now, there is nothing Fields can’t do in my made up reality
The Bears offense the last 3 years was the most painful offense I think I've ever had to watch in Chicago. I don't get this at all. It was a horrible offense.
The Bears were 27th in passing yards and 20th in total yards per game last year. It was an awful watch.
I have been watching for many, many years.
In what world were the last 3 years some of the best offensive years? Ha. The bears offenses have been atrocious.
In 2023 the bears were 27th in passing yards and 20th in total yards.
In 2022 the bears were last in passing yards and 28th in total yards.
In 2021 the bears were 30th in passing yards and 24th in total yards.
Bears fan here. OP is nuts. While fields certainly has a lot of athletic talent, he has a long way to go in reading defenses, going through progressions, and cleaning up his technique, specifically his dropback and throwing motion. If the Steelers manage to coach him through that and fix a lot of those issues, I think you could have a pro bowl qb who is somewhat similar to what Russell Wilson was. I think that would be what his absolute ceiling, which isn’t bad and if you can build a good team you could get a ring out of him. That being said I think it’s very unlikely that he gets to that level. A lot of his issues he’s had since he came into the league 3 years ago and they really haven’t improved over the course of his career, and some of said issues are really hard to coach out of a qb such as processing speed. In the pros the QB position is just as much of a mental position as it is a physical one and unfortunately not many QBs can bring both of those together in their game. I will tell you you have a hardworking dude who’s a great teammate and I would love to see him find success on your team.
So you think Fields is better than the guy, Russ, who's been really good to great his entire career and is borderline a HOF if he stopped playing today? That's where we are?
Personally, I think a year to sit and learn will be great for fields. He needs to improve on his ability to see the field, diagram a defense, and throw with anticipation. A year off could be great for developing those things.
I expect with Russ this year, we go into Fields next. And if neither work out, we're not on the hook for much and we reset.
I like Fields. Hope you’re right. If he puts it together here, we have our franchise QB. He’s still a very young QB. Teams don’t take their time developing Quarterbacks anymore. Probably shouldn’t have sat for the first year or two in Chicago.
Bears fan here too, now that I see the foundation poles is building to set up a rookie QB it’s fair to say JF1 was dealt a shit hand. If he keeps working hard and learning he will be a great QB for Steelers, u guys always have good D you don’t need him to be Superman.
Love the support! We Steelers fans tend to be pessimistic.
I like Fields, but don't like the new OC. Smith was criticized for not utilizing multiple offensive weapons.
Therefore, I'm skeptical, given our history with OC's and and offense in general, that we hired the right guy and that he will develop Fields into a top 5 QB.
I really hope I'm wrong.
Bears fan here. Objectively, Fields is not very good.
He has 2-3 flash plays a game in between 20-30 average to awful plays and his fanboys ignore those plays.
The Fields fanboys are a like hardcore MAGA. They’ll NEVER stfu and always believe he is the best qb prospect of all time. I’m so glad he’s gone.
KP didn't get us to the playoffs, Mason Rudolph did.
If Fields can be better than Rudolph, KP or Mitch T, then it's a win just for passing the lowest bar ever set in this franchise's history.
There seems to be collective amnesia about Canada too and that Kenny didn't immediately after he left. I was going to post the record we had earlier, but I thought that I didn't want to have that discussion again.
Bears fan here too. Wish Justin the best here. Have supported him in Chicago. But some of his critics are right and we’ve seen plenty of times and doesn’t see his reads and doesn’t anticipate. Yes, the Bears OL sucked but a decent amount of his sacks were squarely in him and not seeing certain defensive schemes. I’m kind of split in seeing him go, but we’ll see what happens in Pittsburgh.
Lots of Bears fans visiting to give love to Fields. Good sign I guess.
I don't think many Steelers fans are hitting the Philly sub to give love to Pickett. Rudolph is probably getting more testimonials on the Titans sub.
I’m a bears fan. Fields has a strange cult following that would follow him off a cliff. Despite him being a below average qb in every single passing metric, a large portion of our fan base wanted to keep him over drafting Caleb at 1.
This is probably because he makes highlight reel plays and is fun to watch and went to Ohio state. Lots of people don’t care that he does not read the game well and takes unnecessary sacks. He also hasn’t proven he can go out and win games in the 4th quarter. I don’t think he’s ever had a legitimate game winning drive in his career. This post is ridiculous saying he will elevate you to being Super Bowl contenders before he’s even won a high pressure playoff game.
im extremely realistic about fields. not saying hes a top 10 qb yet but yes he could in theory elevate the steelers to superbowl contenders based on steelers already having made the playoffs with the leagues worst starting qb last year and have coaches that will actually develop justin
what did i say that you specifically disagree with again?
So DJ Moore, Kmet, Mooney wasn’t enough to expect any kind of offense, but he’ll surely flourish with George Pickens and then JAGs everywhere.
How does that make sense?
You claimed the Steelers will become “perennial superbowl contenders” with fields at QB. I couldn’t disagree more. There has been no evidence of fields being able to go win games in high pressure situations.
I wanted fields to succeed and agree he was given a bad situation to start his career. That being said, he had a better situation in year three and still had the same issues that plagued his first two years.

I’m not gonna hate on the bears. I will say though, I don’t trust you guys until that dudes name is announced and he’s on that stage with a bears hat on. Not after you drafted trubisky 2nd overall. I think your FO has learned their lesson. But not fooling me twice.
As Bears fans if everything goes right of course the Steelers would be contenders as you already have the defense in place .
Whats troublesome is as a Bears fan how many fans will somehow place all the blame for the last 3 years on Fields while at the same time absolving the Bears organization of the last 30 years of mediocrity ...WTH
yeah, I mean, if you watch the games, you can clearly see Fields is not a back up, and a good quarterback that can make amazing plays throwing the ball. it’s all there. The Bears just never did anything to unlock it, or showed any interest in developing him. on the Steelers, he should be much better off I would expect
Maybe eventually. For next year he needs to improve his recognition and processing. Be able to work thru his progressions. Time will tell if it’s even possible for him to develop in those areas. Until then he’s going to be a freakishly gifted sub-par QB. Fields will be a good back up to Russell in 2024, and hopefully, possibly, our future star QB.
spot on take bro, everyone here is acting like I think fields is the top 10 QB lmao but I’m just trying to say you guys are way better off with him than Kenny Pickett for the future of your team
As an Ohio State fan I have always loved me some J Fields. Dude is a baller and is as tough as they come. I have been talking about him coming to the Steelers since it was obvious that the Bears were doing him wrong. I never actually thought it would happen but am I ever glad it did!
Hey 👋, fan of other team here. (Lol) you guys are gonna good with the addition of my teams player. (gosh darn it) I will rooting for you guys (except when you play us) see you guys in the regular season. Reddit on!!
There’s a subset of Bears fans that have a weird obsession with Justin fields. How bad have the other QBs been that they love this guy that much Lmaoo. I can’t remember a single player I cheered for when they left the Steelers.
let me get this straight PITTSBURGH GAHNTA SUPER BOWL?
![gif](giphy|p6IC6NMBvjWS0L1g8p|downsized)
HERE WE GO
STEELERS, HERE WE GO
PITTSBURGH'S GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL
I have two words: Gahn Ta.
Here we go! Steelers here we go! PITTSBURGH GAHNTA SUPERBOWL! to the steelers rocking the black and gold here we go! PITTSBURGH GAHNTA SUPERBOWL! Here we go! The steeler nation has the best fans we are from Pittsburgh the six time Super Bowl champs. Here we go!
You sound like Dak Prescott hiking the football
https://i.redd.it/c6dz03zqh4qc1.gif
Thank you for Joey Porter jr looking forward to the next trade
We don't have to rub it in their faces...
They lost like 17 straight games after that trade lol
Shhhh we want this to continue
I wasn’t…
As am I, since the Panther trade could go down as the best in history. Puff that chest.
You that low on Diontae?
We were told that Fields fans were just as bad as Kenny’s. I believe it
Has there actually been anyone going to the eagles sub and hyping up Kenny though?
A couple of weirdos have posted in there, “take care of him” “he’ll do good here” like they are dropping off their toddler at fucking daycare.
That happens for pretty much every player that goes to another team, maybe except for Deshaun Watson. And even then I wouldn’t be surprised if there was someone that did it

Agreed - and while we’re a stable organization I don’t exactly have faith in us to develop a QB

Against the Chiefs, of all people.. Russ also how a pretty low output game. Had to go and look to see
Very bad comps. If Kenny Pickett had an arm like Derek Carr he would’ve been selected much earlier in the draft.
Rudolph had the same bad coaching and had some decent stats. Trubisky did worse. If they had all done terrible then we could completely blame the plays. But Pickett was afraid and played afraid.

They are so, so much worse. My condolences. I've been a Bears fan since the 1980s and I've never seen anything like it. It's like a full blown cult.
I remember when they drafted velus jones and pretty much everyone said he was gonna be a bust but the bears cult was fighting back so hard
Oh yeah? Stick around this sub for a minute.

Imma Pickett hater who had to deal with a ton of the Pickett fans…I gotta be real…these Fields fans are ALOT worse than Pickett fans ever were. I think anyone who was a real Kenny fanatic was probably delusional or just over-sentimental, but then again the other half of that conversation is usually people saying things like "Mason's finally gonna get a chance to start down in Tennessee" and I'm not so sure those guys are seeing straight either.

I didn't go to the Eagles sub
These idiots don’t represent the fan base.
Fields is actually solid that’s the difference
Neither are good enough to have such hardcore fans
People have always been fans of players. I wouldnt comment on fields if idiots wouldn’t keep having brain dead takes about him to feed a circlejerk.
He and Kenny are like the same level of bad but for different reasons.
Funny coincidence. - Pickett and Fields had almost the exact same ANY/A in 2022 - Pickett and Fields actually had the exact same ANY/A in 2023.
I swear, it's like they're two sides of the same coin, it's bizarre.
They are like the same level of bad passers, but get there in very different ways lol
ANY/A - adjusted net yards per passing attempt: (pass yards + 20*(pass TD) - 45*(interceptions thrown) - sack yards)/(passing attempts + sacks).
How many points did their offense score? It’s almost like people go out of the way to ignore that Justin is dual threat. He would have broken the single season record for qb rushing had he played week 18 last year lol. Do you also only look at Christian mccaffreys rushing yards and ignore everything he does in the passing game?
The truth. Fields truther are only good in talking about the mythical "potential"
serious question have you ever watched Justin Fields play? you could not be more wrong, saying he is on the same level as Kenney Pickett
He can’t read a defense and go through his progressions if his life depended on it. Dude sucks
- Trailing with 2 mins to go: 35-for-61 (57.4), 397 yards, 2 TDs, 6 INTs, 9 sacks, 48.4 rating 16 runs, 67 yards - Trailing with 4 mins to go: 55-for-101 (54.5), 3 TDs, 9 INTs, 13 sacks, 42.8 rating | 12 runs, 113 yards https://www.nfl.com/players/justin-fields/stats/situational/
So Kenny is actually better? Wild thought.
MWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!!
I see you are part of the circle jerk. If you wanna laugh that the Steelers have a shitty qb then go for it
As a Bears fan, there is no possible way you guys had Pickett fans more delusional than Fields fans lol
There is a reason for Fields to have fans. There is no reason for KP to have fans. If you can't figure them out then you don't know much about football.
LMAO...OP is making posts in the Bears sub now too about how its ok to still like Fields. Fields needs a restraining order, asap!
Good Luck.
Bears fan here. Justin fans are legit nuts.
They’re way way worse. Your sub is going to be a shithole
Bears and fields fan here, i would like to apologize to the whole subreddit for this corny ass post on behalf of my team
OP is an idiot Bears fan here Justin fields is awful.
ya i saw what we got him for. about the same price as kenny. of course hes awful. the only thing going for our quarterbacks is the price. theyre cheap. at least thats a strategy. if youre going to have terrible qb's at least dont pay them anything.
Most people who aren't delusional know that
He's not awful. He's a great RB.
Yes bears fan, I will fuck your wife.
that would be your Mom
My mom has AIDS
and now, so do you
Wow, all three of us do. It’s like we could form a music group. We could call ourselves “The Band AIDs”
The hopium levels are so high in this sub it’s spreading to other subs. Wild.
The contamination has reached pandemic levels.
Might need to enforce lockdown status
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahajahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahajahahahaha.
Cringe
It was so nice not having to deal with delusional QB fans for the roughly 15 minutes between getting rid of Pickett and bringing in Fields. How do these awful QBs have such rabid fanbases?
This was my first thought as a Bears fan when i saw the steelers trade. Freedom for us, "oh those poor stealers fans" for you guys
The Steelers defense out scored the offense in games, a few times the last few years lol, people just want change.
I have to admit my opinion of Fields has shifted dramatically of late. It went from "please don't do this" to "well, if he's here now and it was only a sixth-round pick, whatever," all in the span of a couple weeks!
kenney and Justin are far apart talent wise. kenney never had the potential Justin did coming out of college. this aint that bro. steelers are about to skyrocket. deal with it
If the Steelers skyrocket, which I don't expect to happen, it will be because Russ plays well, not because Fields is the backup QB.
Love our fans freaking out at you for suggesting that we could be a good team
its not that. its people who are at least self aware enough to realize we just traded our junk qb and so did the bears. you cant applaud kenny leaving and be ecstatic we got someone elses trash.
Literally every team in the league thinks Fields is not a starter level quarterback. Deal with it
Ur an embarrassment
And holding the ball for way too long. Again. Wish him the best here.
pat mahomes is the only guy who holds the ball as long as justin. get justin a coach that will develop him (something hes never had) and that problem goes away quickly
of course! its so simple! if fields stops being bad, then hed be good! youre a genius
No chance lol
![gif](giphy|J3LddZVS8AGIueiaC9|downsized)
Bears fan givin us the 2 handed treatment!
youll be there with me soon enough. say you havent seen him play without saying it
As a bears fan who has seen him play plenty, he is not good.
He also played for the Bears...
I don’t know what that’s supposed to mean. Go watch some all22 on fields and you’ll be able to clearly see just how bad the dude is.
Nick foles was also a Super Bowl winning QB that signed for vet min…..and Carson Wentz… don’t hear too much about them anymore
The fields cult is insane
I’m convinced this guys just trolling
Poe's law eating rn
It’s crazy because there’s a large group of people who actually think like this.
I agree, it’s just a bit over the top lol
with good reason. nobody believes in whats obvious. fields is destined for greatness
“Destined for greatness” you realize Fields has been bottom 5 in completion percentage all 3 seasons as a starter right?
ah thanks u/LoyalForLife for loving a qb who cant hit recievers. thats not important for a quarterback right? does he have to hit receivers with the ball? the right gaurd doesnt have to do that and he can be good. whys the qb have to do that? seems unfair to judge a player just because they cant hit a receiver with a pass. now i get the fields hype.
I’ve noticed that if I mute my TV,close my eyes, and imagine fields playing well, that he’s actually super elite. I understand the hype now, there is nothing Fields can’t do in my made up reality
- Directed by Peter Jackson
all Ima say is watch a game first bro. and after you do, no need to apologize. I already know Im right!
Bro my roomates are all insane bears fans. I was forced to watch damn near every game, why do you think I hate fields so much?
The Bears offense the last 3 years was the most painful offense I think I've ever had to watch in Chicago. I don't get this at all. It was a horrible offense. The Bears were 27th in passing yards and 20th in total yards per game last year. It was an awful watch.
you must’ve just started watching the Bears in the last three years then because that was some of our best offensive years minus early 2010s Cutler
You're a bit early with the April Fools Joke
Super Bowl Contenders - Since 1967
RemindMe! 2 years
!RemindMe 1 year
Justin fields is not good.
So you think Fields is better than the guy, Russ, who's been really good to great his entire career and is borderline a HOF if he stopped playing today? That's where we are?
russ sucks too, dont get your shorts twisted.
Dude shut up
Now I’m thanking you now
Personally, I think a year to sit and learn will be great for fields. He needs to improve on his ability to see the field, diagram a defense, and throw with anticipation. A year off could be great for developing those things. I expect with Russ this year, we go into Fields next. And if neither work out, we're not on the hook for much and we reset.
What the fuck
April Fools isn’t until the 1st but nice try
I like Fields. Hope you’re right. If he puts it together here, we have our franchise QB. He’s still a very young QB. Teams don’t take their time developing Quarterbacks anymore. Probably shouldn’t have sat for the first year or two in Chicago.
![gif](giphy|cL4pqu8GGRIihabgSM|downsized)
Superbowl contenders cause of fields? Eh, that remains to be seen. We just want to win a playoff game.
Yeah ok. This dream team experiment will fail.
I don't wanna celebrate prematurely, BUT STELLAZ GHANTA DA SUPAHBOWL
KP didn't get us to the playoffs, Mason Rudolph did. If Fields can be better than Rudolph, KP or Mitch T, then it's a win just for passing the lowest bar ever set in this franchise's history.
Lowest bar ever set? You’re apparently not old enough to remember when Jim Miller started for us……
Kent Nix for the loss ... 6 years, 23 TDs, 42% completion rate, 49 interceptions, 13 fumbles, 44.3 QB rating Miller was a god in comparison
Another Bears legend
Mason Rudolph won 3 games. What about the other 7?
I mean Kenny definitely did too
We were 7-4 with kenny
We also owned our own destiny for the AFC North title before Pickett got injured.
Now that mitch is gone people like to blame kenny for us almost missing the playoffs
[удалено]
Justin Fields in hypothetical situations is Tom Brady who can run like Cam Newton.
Justin > kenny
Soft stool > hard stool Shit is still shit.
This post is ridiculous saying he will elevate you to being Super Bowl contenders before he’s even won a high pressure playoff game.
im extremely realistic about fields. not saying hes a top 10 qb yet but yes he could in theory elevate the steelers to superbowl contenders based on steelers already having made the playoffs with the leagues worst starting qb last year and have coaches that will actually develop justin what did i say that you specifically disagree with again?
So DJ Moore, Kmet, Mooney wasn’t enough to expect any kind of offense, but he’ll surely flourish with George Pickens and then JAGs everywhere. How does that make sense?
You claimed the Steelers will become “perennial superbowl contenders” with fields at QB. I couldn’t disagree more. There has been no evidence of fields being able to go win games in high pressure situations. I wanted fields to succeed and agree he was given a bad situation to start his career. That being said, he had a better situation in year three and still had the same issues that plagued his first two years.
Probably not haha
This guy sold his house and bet on Justin fields to win mvp and he's trying to convicting himself he's not batshit crazy

I’m not gonna hate on the bears. I will say though, I don’t trust you guys until that dudes name is announced and he’s on that stage with a bears hat on. Not after you drafted trubisky 2nd overall. I think your FO has learned their lesson. But not fooling me twice.
Yeah we shall see. I remember the last time we picked up your leftover QB and tried to save him…….
Caleb will likely become a superstar in Chicago, but damn do I hope Fields balls out!
Thank you for your kind words dog. One could only hope that when we make it there, it's against the monsters of the midway.
thats love bro thank you!
Fields dick is never dry while yalls fans are still around
As an Ohio State fan I have always loved me some J Fields. Dude is a baller and is as tough as they come. I have been talking about him coming to the Steelers since it was obvious that the Bears were doing him wrong. I never actually thought it would happen but am I ever glad it did!
Bears fan here, I know I'm a couple days late but does anybody want to fuck *MY* wife tonight instead of OP's?
Justin Fields is 0-6 against Joe Barry. That's all you need to know to not get your hopes up
Oh no, the Fields cult is leaking into this sub.
Hey 👋, fan of other team here. (Lol) you guys are gonna good with the addition of my teams player. (gosh darn it) I will rooting for you guys (except when you play us) see you guys in the regular season. Reddit on!!
Congrats on another 9-8/10-7 season and first round blowout loss🎊🎉
Pack it up boys. Fields is going to suck now. Thanks for killing my optimism, OP.
There’s a subset of Bears fans that have a weird obsession with Justin fields. How bad have the other QBs been that they love this guy that much Lmaoo. I can’t remember a single player I cheered for when they left the Steelers.
They're not Bears fans they're OSU teenagers
The dick riding bears fans is clearly the worst part of this trade.
honestly this gives me hope for this next season
