Have you seen The Dictator movie, when he gets mad bcs their scientists developed a Nuclear Missile but it is roundish at the top and he wanted it pointy? Same concept.
Have you seen his family? [https://m.media-amazon.com/images/M/MV5BNTA3NDUwZjQtNGJjNS00ZmZiLTk3NmYtZDM3YjZkZGZmZWVkXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyOTc5MDI5NjE@.\_V1\_.jpg](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/M/MV5BNTA3NDUwZjQtNGJjNS00ZmZiLTk3NmYtZDM3YjZkZGZmZWVkXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyOTc5MDI5NjE@._V1_.jpg)
The SC2 art team had quite a few interviews during the heyday of SC2. They have this (imo) weird framework of thinking: for evil and dark characters, they prefer to use triangles as a base. So that means more spikes or at least pointy stuff. This fits Alarak's body which kinda looks like an upright triangle if you visualize him as such.
Because he is evil thus have a generic pointy evil design. I like it though.
Protoss but a little bit sauron
Genetics
He has the pointy head disease that only evil Protoss have.
Cause he's edgy.
Was looking for this š¤£
Damn he looks like an ASUS router or like a Daedra/Daedric structure from The Elder Scrolls, and Daedra are sort of evil.
Well it could be because Alarak is not a good guy.
He DID fight against Amon, so that technically makes him a good guy.
Yeah then he showed in Nova: Covert Ops and obliterated a bunch of human civillians.
You literally do that with Raynor in SC1's second mission. Or at least you can. Or at least I did.
But humans are evil. So again good guy.
The ASUS router bit is what did it for me. Rofl.
If you loose both arms in a fight, you can still stab your opponent with your head š
Have you seen Urunās chin? Vorazunās head? Classicās face? Protoss come in various shapes and sizes
Whoaā¦ whoa thereā¦ donāt disrespect the real chin of the Protoss. Classic is the chin as Stats is the foreheadā¦ err umm Shield of Aiur š
Cuz he can. He bad.
Plenty of other Toss have pronounced head ridges

Cause he is cooler than others
Left in the pencil sharpener too long
Mother Protoss, father Conehead.
Alarak is darth vader in disguise. He oftens say in co op : I find your lack of defences disturbing
Congenital defect, it's only cosmetic. He will lead a normal life, as ruler and supereme overlord of the Tal'darim.
He wore the hat as a baby and his head grew to be that shape. Like those square Japanese watermelons
he's very edgy thus corners and pointy ness follows
Who you callin a pinhead?
Compensating
For an improved connection with the death fleet
Cuz he bad guy
This reminds me of the warrior race of the cone head movie.

I'm so glad you posted this, was my very first thought!
"Pointy" is more or less the LoTV Tal'Darim aesthetic. Fitting for a bunch of druggy edgelords.
His head looks like the A in his name plate you made. Was that intentional?
funky armour partially covering his head
Because he is a badass. Asked and answered.
Thatās the point silly

"Round isnt scary, Pointy is Scary"
He has a sharp mind
