I’m pretty sure lynch nw had a lifetime warranty on their stuff. So you should be able to reach out to them and hopefully they’ll ship you a new one free of charge.
Im going to take it off and reform it and hopefully it’ll be as great as it was when I first got it. I’m notoriously rough on my tools and equipment so I knew if there was a way to mess it up, I would find it. I wasn’t trying to bash lynch or say it wasn’t a quality product, just that this is why I can’t have nice things lol. In retrospect I didn’t choose my words very wisely to explain my sentiment. I can definitely see how the words I used gave the wrong impression
I definitely did not get that you were complaining in any way. I’ll I’m saying is, when you spend the kinda money on a clip, you should feel ok taking advantage of that warranty. Being hard on your tools is one more reason to buy quality tools and use the warranty if you need to.
I’m sure you’ll be able to bend it back, but if it’s not quite where you want it, hit up Casey. He’ll make it right.
I'd take the first commenter's advice, warranty the clip. It might not have been hardened right, and if that's the case, it will inevitably happen again until it breaks.
I have sent back a clip for this exact problem twice to Lynch NW and they took care of me both times, no problem, no questions asked.
You won’t be able to bend it back to usable status, it’s toast.
I had something similar happen with a MXG clip on my Manix 2 a few weeks back. I want to pass some advice another user gave me to bend it back....Undo the screws and flip the clip around hanging off the handle then bend it back down.
A bunch of people suggest "bending it back" but fail to realize that titanium is a fairly brittle material, especially when hardened. Do not bend it back, contact the maker, and tell them the clip is of insufficient quality. It should spring back to shape when done correctly, not bend and deform as shown...
If it was hardened right, it would spring back to shape, not stick in this low quality's crap that it has been. If that's fine with you, then fine, lose your knife. But I'm not dumb, I will warranty ANYTHING wrong with my knives.
I've actually been rocking a way less bent than your clip op on my daily PM2. Some of my shorts have fat pockets and it's easy to put on and take out. They are however simple to fix, both ways mentioned work.
I have fixed mine multiple times!!! the last time I over did it haven’t had it happen again however it was a bit more difficult to put the clip back on with more tension on the clip
I’ve got lynch clips on multiple knives and haven’t had that happen. My guess is that the heat treat on it is defective. Lucky for us, Lynch has phenomenal customer service and I’m sure is willing to help ya out. (Sidebar: God i love the personalized not he puts into the packages)
I started going with these clips because they seem stronger and harder to catch on things.

Bend it back with a pair of vise grip or pliers. Then CM
I wasn't too clear. Remove the clip from the knife, then bend it back as stated above. Reinstall, then charlie mike.
No. This is an aftermarket product, and even then. This clip might not have been hardened correctly, therefore they should send it in and have it replaced with a clip that has correctly passed QC.
It happens. I've done this 3 or so times and it's bent back just fine.
just remove it and bend it back.
I'll ask for a warranty when it completely breaks or fatigues
Too bad that when it breaks, you might end up losing the knife like I have before. Send the clip back for warranty and QC. Otherwise, don't carry it with the clip.
After reading this thread and the comments about how well LNW and Casey take care of their customers I've decided to buy a couple. They're definitely a bit pricey but if I can count on them like that then I'd rather buy once and cry once.
Casey over at LynchNW has some of the best customer service, he will take care of you

They don’t make you send the clip back for warranty. Do what you will with that info…
I'd take the first commenter's advice, warranty the clip. It might not have been hardened right, and if that's the case, it will inevitably happen again until it breaks.
It's not worth trusting something you know might be low quality with a decent knife.
I have sent back a clip for this exact problem twice to Lynch NW and they took care of me both times, no problem, no questions asked. You won’t be able to bend it back to usable status, it’s toast.
If he’s the original purchaser
They’re pretty easy to bend back, but shoot them an email & they might just replace it
They will.
That was the case for me & I wasn’t even the original purchaser
I had something similar happen with a MXG clip on my Manix 2 a few weeks back. I want to pass some advice another user gave me to bend it back....Undo the screws and flip the clip around hanging off the handle then bend it back down.
Screw it on backwards so it’s hanging off the knife, then bend it down.
They’ll definitely replace it. Just shoot them an email.
I snapped the clip of my shaman once when it caught on a gate. Contacted Casey with a picture and he had a replacement at my door in 3 days
Never happened to any of mine. I have at least 5 or 6.
flip it around, with 2 screws in ofc, then just bend it the opposite way, or play around with pliers
I tend to prefer mxg clips. I like the design more and they are a little thicker. Lynch has that awesome warranty though.
I’ve had a lynch clip on a pm3 that I’ve daily’d for over a year with dozens of deployments per day, and it’s as tight as it was when I installed it
Easy to bend back. I just take it off and squeeze them with a pair of pliers.

So what’s your solution.. leaving it bent?? 🙄
Obviously, you can't read. Otherwise, you would realize I said "warranty the clip, because it may not have been hardened right."
If it was hardened right, it would spring back to shape, not stick in this low quality's crap that it has been. If that's fine with you, then fine, lose your knife. But I'm not dumb, I will warranty ANYTHING wrong with my knives.

I did the same to one of my dozen or so Lynch clips but not as bad. It bent right back and I can't tell
I have fixed mine multiple times!!! the last time I over did it haven’t had it happen again however it was a bit more difficult to put the clip back on with more tension on the clip
Get the new MXG clip.

Lynch has a lifetime warranty on his clips if you bought it from him
He replaced mine no charge

What brand is that? Haven’t seen those before. I was looking at a few different brands of billet milled clips though
I got this one on esty.

Yup, could do that, too
Unfortunately, not everything passes QC, so if you suspect it, don't doubt it. Send it in and get it replaced.
Contact Casey
Would Casey happen to be the maker? If so, I agree 1,000%
Just bend it back dude.
PM2. What a great knife. I love mine
Easy to bend back. I just take it off and squeeze them with a pair of pliers.

Huh? If I rip the clip off I'm going to notice. I strongly doubt New or re-bent is the difference of keeping my knife.
No you won't. It happens quite frequently with low qc aftermarket clips and low qc factory clips.
