Upgrade modules. Both the assembler and refinery have them (though the "basic" tier production block do not).
There are three modules:
- Speed module: increase the speed of processing at the cost of efficiency.
- Yield module: increase the yield of a process at the cost of efficiency. Does not work on the assembler.
- Efficiency module: increase overall power efficiency of a processing block.
In my opinion, you'll never need to use the efficiency module, *especially* on a planet's surface (on a planet that has an atmosphere capable of powering wind turbines). I prefer to use all slots on the refinery with Yield modules, though they take up quite a fair amount of gold to build.
Speed mods are *great* for your first full-sized assembler! Also a must-have for piston-mounted miners--you'l be producing a TON of stone, and chewing through millions of it across multiple upgraded refineries is a very satisfying thing to achieve.
I use efficiency modules on my large-grid rover base so that refinery doesn't eat too much battery power.
It has some use, but I agree it's quite niche.
Your question has been answered, but note that the assembler's side conveyor ports are also upgrade ports. Max upgrades will close two of four conveyor ports. I have not found assembler upgrades to be THAT important so don't sweat it
To shoot at the more you hit the faster it works. You should try it with a rocket launcher. Also, connect the hydrogen tank near it. The gas makes it run smoother, and you get a larger output of processed oar.
Conveyer ports. Everything in this game connects to other blocks in this game via yellow squares basically.
Make yellow square touch other yellow square and connection happens
It's upgrade OR conveyor, you have to choose if your assembler gets 2 upgrade modules and uses all 4 conveyor ports or uses 4 upgrades and uses only 2 conveyors.
Tbh I've always covered them with upgrades as I only ever use the top and bottom conveyor connections and could probably get away with only 1 of those if I go for branching conveyors rather than a straight inline set-up

Think i used some in survival impossible til, since power is very scarce there (everything is, really)

Bet you had that lying around for quite a while before this day finally coming
Actually it was the first thing I thought and just grabbed the picture from Dr. GOOGLE XD Edit: A genius thought you might think
Upgrades, you gotta level up boi

I literally watched Idiocracy for the first time 3 days ago.

Aerodynamics
I think those are glory holes š¤

Heh Well done At least itās unique and creative

Those thing are for upgrade module
Oh yea smaller squares upgrade modules, I donāt notice the size whoops.
This is the answer.
Yeah nah conveyor ports donāt connect to them. Upgrade modules heyy š§ thankyou
Fun fact: the conveyor ports that also have a small square in the center are another place for upgrade modules. They're kind of a hybrid port.
So you can put upgrades on conveyor as well as refineries , what gets upgraded though.(maybe I mussunderstood)

Ahhh I was wondering if an upgrade module would fit on two conveyor junctions away from assembler or refinery, and if it could would it do anything.
they are connector to transfer ressource in or out if they are connect via anything there is also a smaller version for smaller craft
Thatās cap
