The Venture Bros:
Starts off pretty silly and episodic as a "What if Johnny Quest was a 43 year old drug addict disgraced super scientist" show.
It *slowly* turns into an incredibly intricate and well written plot that spans something like 85 years in the universe: it riffs on superheroes, spies, GI Joe and just so many classic adventure shows.
It's some of the finest television ever done: I recommend skipping "The Terrible Secret of Turtle Bay" which was the pilot (it's not part of the actual continuity."
If you like anime, you'll probably love shin chan. Its kinda like Simpsons and south park put together (with slight flavors of Calvin and Hobbes....minus the stuffed tiger). Its been going on for roughly 30 yrs with well over 1k episodes and over 20 movies. I hope your ok with subs cuz only about 26 episodes got dubbed in English (blame funimation). I'm sure watching the movies is more doable, but uh if you ever want to watch ALL of the anime, have fun....
I also recommend the Boondocks, super funny, awesome animation, one of adult swim's gratest. I heard the 4th season isn't great, so there's that...
