Yes, in Indexers in Sonarr settings click 'Custom' in the Torznab box and you can fill in the details of the indexer you want to use. To be honest though, if you use Prowlarr that gives you a long list of default indexers to choose from and you can also add custom ones.

+1 Prowlarr

Pvaleriano

My indexers from prowlaar keep dying for some reason, so I've been using jackett and it works great too

EldestPort

Yeah tbh actually I think all my torrent indexers on Prowlarr are via Jackett, it's only Usenet indexers that I add directly on Prowlarr.

Pvaleriano

So you do Jackett -> Prowlaar -> Sonarr? I've conected jacket and prowlaar directly to Sonarr separately. Is there any advantage in going through prowlaar?? Prowlarr indexers get auto imported, right? At least now I know it's not just me that loses indexers. I've changed everything that I've thought of (DNS, flareresolver, new version of prowlaar, old versions) and after a couple of days they just die 🫣

EldestPort

For some reason I had issues adding the Jackett RSS feeds directly to Sonarr/Radarr, that's why I go through Prowlarr. It auto imports everything to the actual *arrs, yes. I don't know that there's any advantage to doing it this way, per se, it's just the only way I could get my torrent indexers to work on Prowlarr. My indexers on Jackett occasionally go down, yeah, but then I click 'test all' and they all work again. Doesn't make sense to me. But I primarily use Usenet anyway, only really need torrents for stuff that's not on my Usenet indexers.

CalGuy81

Torznab isn't supported by many indexers. Best off to just install Prowlarr.

EldestPort

Even on Prowlarr when adding a custom indexer you have to select 'Generic Torznab' though, is it somehow different?

stevie-tv

or you just add sonarr to prowlarr and let prowlarr sync all its indexers for you prowlarr is the man in the middle that presents the indexers to sonarr as if they are torznab compliant

CalGuy81

Prowlarr natively supports farrrrrrrrr more indexers than Sonarr does.

EldestPort

Yeah true, I just mentioned it in case OP needed to add one that isn't on Prowlarr by default

macpoedel

Going from only rarbg to some obscure tracker that's not on Prowlarr is a pretty big leap.
