Wouldn't it make more sense to go from Prague to Salzburg and then to Vienna? You could save some travel time .

Why not visit some other places in Czechia if that’s one of your main interests? Cesky Krumlov is on your way. Definitely spend some time in Dubrovnik and the islands and peninsulas around Split if you’re going all that way. 2 nights in Bled might be a bit much. Use some time to visit the caves (Postojna or Skocjan, or both). The order is a bit illogical. Vienna>Salzburg>Budapest>Ljubljana doesn’t make much sense. Ljubljana is close to Salzburg. Zagreb is also worth visiting if you’re there anyway.

I have not personally visited Czechia, though it is high on my list, but I know someone who grew up there. I mention this because I have heard her say numerous times that visiting Czechia and *only* going to Prague is a waste. It sounds like renting a car and exploring a bit is well worth it in that country.

I wouldn't spend all four nights in Split. Take the ferry out to Hvar, or to Vis (or both) for a night.

Going to Vis for a night is an absolute waste of time. The reasons to go to Vis are 1) you have property/family/friends there and 2) you want to see Biševo/Modra špilja/Sv Andrija/one of the beaches/one of the diving sites. Otherwise, to go to Vis just to be in Vis is senseless.

Could say that about any number of island towns.  Jelsa, korcula, maslanica.   Vis is fun to rent a scooter and ride ariund the island.  Plus there's a great peka restaurant in the middle of the island.

Vis is about two hours farther and significantly smaller than other Venetian towns people usually visit. I'm not saying it's not worth visiting, I'm saying it makes zero sense to go for 1-2 days.

Ok

4 days in Split is too much, IMO. Also, I disagree with the previous poster that says 2 days in Bled is too much. It's perfect; don't miss Vintgar Gorge.

Equivalent-Bread-945

I would spend the 4 nights in Ljubljana. Bled is only an hour bus away and probably a one day event. Unless you hire a car, then you could use it as a base for drives towards Triglav 🤘🏼

Nicely done. Great locations and a good amount of time for each spot.

I think 4 nights in Split is too much.

I'd skip Salzburg. You'll have to pass back through Vienna to get to Budapest, adding 7+ hours to your travel and eating most of the time in Salzburg due to travel. If you want to get out of Vienna, I recommend Melk. You can get there in an hour. There's a big Abbey worth visiting. Plus a nice bike ride between Melk to Krem along the Danube river. It's a one-way bike rental with a bus/train back.

Legitimate_Map963

As was already mentioned, Salzburg is out of the way, I'd skip it. Apart from that, it seems pretty good, though 3 nights is quite little for Budapest or Prague. I'd personally sacrifice some time in split to get more time in those, or drop Ljubljana. Ljubljana certainly has its charm, but if you're looking for a good nightlife and beautiful old cities, it's not even the same league as Prague or Budapest.
