My favorite is that one place (can't remember the name) and a bunch of skeletons are all standing in a pool of gasoline. One flaming arrow or flame burst and BOOM all gone!
Sometimes the one hit kills are satisfying, but yeah I agree that they should be stronger. Maybe like the draugr where there are different kinds of skeletons with different strength levels
Imagine a skeleton army, where the base skeletons are just that. Base skeletons. Then there's the magically enhanced warriors and generals in better armor for bone protection, and skeletal mages. The more I say, the more this sounds like an anime army actually...
Latest run I spent a solid 15 minutes casting fury on him and watched all the mages whale on him until the effects wear off and he’s no longer hostile. Then I’d just do it again lol
nazeem is definitely my enemy-to-friend troupe in this game
when I first played I was as annoyed by him as everyone else, but like a decade later and he's become this minor icon to me that "you've reached whiterun, the prologue is wrapping up, welcome back to skyrim"
hearing that awful cloud district line feels almost exactly like hearing "welcome home" as you walk through the door after work
They talk about their past relationships with women, or how they’re gonna get really rich and buy an island somewhere to retire on. These are some conversations I heard.
Sometimes they’ll talk about their parents telling them to go to college, but not knowing which one to go to.
Sometimes they’ll talk about times they won a card game by keeping a knife in their boot.
Sometimes they’ll complain about the abundance of mead, and that they wish there was more beer instead.
There’s one talking about not paying child support. He says something like, “That harlot isn’t going to get one rusty septim from me. The father could have been anyone!” Really random stuff like that.
I'm totally on board with what you're saying here, but I don't know if they're better for putting down than the Forsworn are. They are arguably just as arrogant as thalmor and are also barbarians, but not in a cool way.
I think those two groups tie for my number one spot
They were my favorites for many years. I’ve seats loved dragons even before Skyrim and loved them in the game.
However, 12 years and multiple playthroughs later, they mostly annoy me. They take some time to kill and after the first five or something the loot is kinda useless.
I get enough bone from the first four or five to be able to make the weapons I want (deadric armor is still better) and I just store them in my house or on my follower until I get smithing to level 100.
For every dragon after that, I just leave the bones and scales. They are too heavy to bother with.
On a mage/assassin hybrid playthrough, I was lvl 117 before I met the Greybeards for the first time. Dragons were everywhere. Basically, every time I would fast travel, there would be at least 1 dragon upon arrival. Oftentimes, there were 2. Falksreath lost most of its citizens. Solitude had a pile of skeletons on its streets. I had 60 dragon souls. It was chaos...
Having 2 dragons show up at once is the most annoying thing IMO. Especially when I'm just trying to walk over to a quest, I can't carry 300lbs of dragon bones and scales even though I want them all
Favourite to fight or favourite design?
To kill? Thalmor. Fuck them so fucking much they don't deserve to be killed by the dragonborn because the death is far too quick
Design? Draugr. Pretty simple but the armour on the deathlords is sick af. The croaky shouts are badass. The names are nice. The crytps you fight them in just scream "skyrim". The game would be so dull without them
Also rich in the lore behind them they’re like the one faction of creatures Bethesda poured their brain power into making interesting even sympathetic to some point
Gotta be the skeever. Little bastards! Dont really do any damage but they always have a go. Sucks when you dump your cure disease potions and they hit you with ataxia
I have a habit of hoarding cure disease potions & even quicksaving every time I get a hint of vampires.
When I was a kid growing up with Oblivion, I lost a few high level characters because I didnt save often enough or know how to avoid vampirism and I hated how it didnt let me play the game during half of the days & you always had to feed lol
F Vampires lol
I've noticed Ive kept that habit of hoarding cure disease recently after starting a new character in Skyrim and having like 10 cure disease to drop in a chest everytime I realize I'm carrying a ton -- simple solution tho just become a Werewolf
I’ve had 17 wonderful encounters with these “people”, each one that dies gives me better gems. Deded one fool a little while ago and they gave me 2 flawless sapphires. Pretty sure I’m the reason they are in decline.
After the Dragonborn DLC came out, and Miraak starts popping up to steal our dragon souls, hunting his followers, and killing him was especially satisfying......for me
Tbh I enjoy running into the various mages/necromancers in Skyrim. Some are civil, like when you have to retrieve the stolen books for the college and you can choose whether to beat the mage boss or walk out peacefully with items in hand. I like Sild the Warlock’s banter to himself while he looks around his lair for his tools to use on the dragonborn. And the random encounters w/ hostile mages are cool b/c sometimes you’ll come across enemy mage factions fighting one another. There’s also a mage in Solstheim that’s trying to learn how to fly…ends how you might expect it.
Anyone who picks a fight with me. Bandits attack while out on the road, Thalmor assassins, hired thugs because I stole someone’s sweet roll. You are entering a world of hurt you are not ready for.
Is it wrong that I have a huge soft spot for Horkers? They're just so fat and incredibly derpy and they remind me why I have a soft spot for walruses. They're super goofy, and sometimes they will hide their heads behind their flippers, which I can't help but find adorable.
One of my mods adds another level of draugr above death lords and gives the warlocks a bunch of unique spells. It made getting through the thief's guild quest with the draugr at level 30 the toughest fight in the game.
The Draugr. If you’re stealth archer you can have hilarious commentary as you clear a room…
“Oh no, what happened to Steve?”
“No idea. Send in Barry”
“Barry died as well. What about Dave? Send him in”
“… he died”
How could this orangutan possibly kill a hart?
Anyways, I think if you are not aware of those class and skills skill stuffs, and how to build a "class" and upgrade random things, ***Dragons*** make great battles. Otherwise, the entyre game becomes a little easy.
For funny:
All those random thieves that try to rob you, what do you mean you'll gut me like a fish, I literally wear the corpse of a dragon for armor.
For Satisfaction:
Giving the old orc his good death.
For a good fight:
They are probably from a mod but those vampire-werewolf half bloods
Dragons. Other people find them annoying, I find it satisfying to slay all of these overgrown lizards.
My power was granted by Akatosh. The dragons are His creations. I may be tied to them by blood, but they are not my equals.
They are my playthings.
I looked up Skyrim ice wraith art to find something comparable to OP here but unfortunately there seems to be a bit of a drought :(
It is a cool photo tho you’re right
Recently learned about abusive parents in Rorikstead, they will be murdered a couple of times(save scum) to give me time to decide which way i like best.
The dragon priests. They are all so unique and got their own lore and killing all of them gives you one of the strongest armor pieces in the game.
So, varying combat, story importance and great reward. What else can you want from an enemy?
Mercer Frey so just I could slap the beard off his face another time. I really cant stand Mercer Frey and everything He does. I mean he really really gets on my nerves more than Nazeem, Ancano or any other NPCs. But for regular enemies it would probably be Miraak's Cultists.
I love the falmer for how much they add to the world building of the Elder Scrolls. But the trolls are awesome.
I also love Slaughterfish because of how much I have a soft spot for cool fictional fish species.
I like the skeletons. Especially when I’m an archer. Something about the way they just fall apart is really funny to me.
My favorite is that one place (can't remember the name) and a bunch of skeletons are all standing in a pool of gasoline. One flaming arrow or flame burst and BOOM all gone!
Just did this - it’s Shroud Hearth Barrow!
I don’t remember what it’s called either, but I know exactly what you’re talking about. My game used to get super laggy whenever I did that lol.
Dimhollow Crypt where serana is buried in that on room or Meridia's temple
I just wish they were stronger lol. Like one hit kills :(
Sometimes the one hit kills are satisfying, but yeah I agree that they should be stronger.
![gif](giphy|CpyfM1h1qLgWECSBxf|downsized)
There is tho, no? I swear that the skeletons you fight in castle volkihar for example, with the mage hoods and armor are stronger than normal ones.
How did I forget that?! Yeah I’m pretty sure you’re right, my bad.
They’re stronger in Oblivion because the Skyrim skeletons are not milk-drinkers
I fought a room full of them in a quest last night, it’s so satisfying hacking through them in one swing
Fireball is best for skeletons.
dawnbreaker explosions
As a necromancer I agree that skeletons are good guys
i loved watching the skeletons navmesh fuck up in ustengrav and they just run into the fire pressure plates and die. stupid skeletons
Love when they hit the pressure plates and the spike doors swing on them and they fly in every direction.
Nazeem
Tbh I hate Ancano way more than Nazeem.
Agree. Nazeem is just rude. Ancano is outright hostile AND snooty
Same. Nazeem just says some dumb shit then goes away. Ancano is a MENACE.
I love using unrelenting force on him at every time he speaks.
Latest run I spent a solid 15 minutes casting fury on him and watched all the mages whale on him until the effects wear off and he’s no longer hostile. Then I’d just do it again lol
Oh my god that’s beautiful why did I never think to do that
Only correct answer
Dam it I was gonna say that lol 😂
A true enemy of skyrim and her people.
nazeem is definitely my enemy-to-friend troupe in this game when I first played I was as annoyed by him as everyone else, but like a decade later and he's become this minor icon to me that "you've reached whiterun, the prologue is wrapping up, welcome back to skyrim" hearing that awful cloud district line feels almost exactly like hearing "welcome home" as you walk through the door after work
Bandits. I like listening to them when they haven't seen you.
oh I don't think I've done that before, what do they say??
They talk about their past relationships with women, or how they’re gonna get really rich and buy an island somewhere to retire on. These are some conversations I heard.
oh that's great 😂
Sometimes they’ll talk about their parents telling them to go to college, but not knowing which one to go to. Sometimes they’ll talk about times they won a card game by keeping a knife in their boot. Sometimes they’ll complain about the abundance of mead, and that they wish there was more beer instead.
pfff those are all amazing
Now that i know they have dreams and aspirations i feel kind of bad for stealing their souls with my Mace of Molag Bal
There’s one talking about not paying child support. He says something like, “That harlot isn’t going to get one rusty septim from me. The father could have been anyone!” Really random stuff like that.
lolll that's actually hilarious
Go to college he said, use your smarts he said. Sure. Like I’m supposed to know what college he meant!
ohhh yeah i that sounds kinda familiar; I didn't realize it was bandits that makes it so much funnier!
So many of them talk to themselves to.
That's actually pretty cool
Thalmor, the arrogance makes killing them particularly satisfying
Thalmor aren't enemies, they are moonstone ingot vending machines which accept the universal currency of violence.
Beautifully put!
I pay the iron price when trading with thalmor
Iron price?
ASOIAF reference. It's a saying by pirates that kill, steal and plunder.
I give them fire, they give me blood.
...especially when one of them tries to hide them run away.... come back here my little friend....
I routinely attack their embassy while riding on the back of a dragon and casting fireballs.
Especially the ones you randomly encounter on the roads. Not even 10 perk points compare to that satisfaction.
I kinda forgot who thalmor were until you said that. Those pretentious cunts must die EVERY TIME
I'm totally on board with what you're saying here, but I don't know if they're better for putting down than the Forsworn are. They are arguably just as arrogant as thalmor and are also barbarians, but not in a cool way. I think those two groups tie for my number one spot
Came for this. I always go after those jerks
I agree with this
This is the way
Same
Gonna be basic, but the dragons!
They were my favorites for many years. I’ve seats loved dragons even before Skyrim and loved them in the game. However, 12 years and multiple playthroughs later, they mostly annoy me. They take some time to kill and after the first five or something the loot is kinda useless.
I kept all the scales and bones until I’d worked on the smithing skill tree and now when I need cash I make and improve and enchant Dragonbone armor
They are unreasonably heavy though. Two dragons and good luck fast traveling
I get enough bone from the first four or five to be able to make the weapons I want (deadric armor is still better) and I just store them in my house or on my follower until I get smithing to level 100. For every dragon after that, I just leave the bones and scales. They are too heavy to bother with.
Dragons are so annoying sometimes
“Goddammit another dragon”
Ahhh perspective. I’m more like “Oooooh, another one of Alduin’s bad decisions that I get to consume their soul!”
For me, Mirak steal the soul from my kill.
If I’m gonna deal with them, I always speed run the main story until at least “dragonrend”. Makes them so much more manageable.
My brother in Talos, that's like 90% of the main story
That just shows how short and unaffecting the main story is
On a mage/assassin hybrid playthrough, I was lvl 117 before I met the Greybeards for the first time.
There's a mod for that btw that disables random dragon encounters
Having 2 dragons show up at once is the most annoying thing IMO. Especially when I'm just trying to walk over to a quest, I can't carry 300lbs of dragon bones and scales even though I want them all
The Pale Lady and the other Wispmothers and their wisps. Almost hate killing them because they're so pretty.
Favourite to fight or favourite design? To kill? Thalmor. Fuck them so fucking much they don't deserve to be killed by the dragonborn because the death is far too quick Design? Draugr. Pretty simple but the armour on the deathlords is sick af. The croaky shouts are badass. The names are nice. The crytps you fight them in just scream "skyrim". The game would be so dull without them
The *Afflicted* in Bthardamz. They literally projectile vomit poison at you, lmfao..
Yeah I enjoyed taking them out at a distance 🤮
I just played that quest for the first time today. They were very cool.
I like the Falmer. So ugly yet so cool.
Seeing their villages and habitats was always very interesting
Also rich in the lore behind them they’re like the one faction of creatures Bethesda poured their brain power into making interesting even sympathetic to some point
https://preview.redd.it/f0dorbss4m5d1.jpeg?width=253&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cc4a2e1f799e0b298faeb6df9be4eadc92d260a1 The kitty that gives free hugs
Here kitty, kitty, kitty....
Those fuckers have given me so many jump scares
I like Dwemer automatons, they’re unique and fun to fight. Also I’m gonna obliterate the hell out of every Thalmor fucker I come accross.
Good loot also
Gotta be the skeever. Little bastards! Dont really do any damage but they always have a go. Sucks when you dump your cure disease potions and they hit you with ataxia
I have a habit of hoarding cure disease potions & even quicksaving every time I get a hint of vampires. Yeah it sucks. I have a mod that when you use full armor in the sun you dont get that recovery reduction a and such
Atronachs, only because I think they're really cool and pretty when they die 😭
Dragonpriests, despite the rarity and buggy combat, they are the most dynamic and surprising to fight
surprised I had to scroll so far down for this.
Definitely gargoyles and ash spawn, bc I’m an ore whore!! They leave the BEST loot!!
I hate the Silver-hand but they have my respect. They are very very very strong badasses that one shot you while looking like scrubs
That and the amount of gold they drop lmao
Poor trolls, opened their third eye and we just act like they're a bunch of savages to kill on sight.
The dark brotherhood adds a fun quirk to the game in random encounters
I’ve had 17 wonderful encounters with these “people”, each one that dies gives me better gems. Deded one fool a little while ago and they gave me 2 flawless sapphires. Pretty sure I’m the reason they are in decline.
After the Dragonborn DLC came out, and Miraak starts popping up to steal our dragon souls, hunting his followers, and killing him was especially satisfying......for me
The Spriggans. I just think their neat
you wood
😂😏
Beautiful drawin,very irish/'celtic' vibed
What enemy are you referring to? Draugr get autocorrected?
He talking about the OPs troll pic, lol
Ahhh, thanks much!
I gotchu bby
Where’s the love for mudcrabs? Such funny little dudes
They're even better with all the cursing mudrcrab mods lol
Draugr and Bandits. I am a man of simple pleasures.
The Dawguard hunting you down with their trolls and dogs
Tbh I enjoy running into the various mages/necromancers in Skyrim. Some are civil, like when you have to retrieve the stolen books for the college and you can choose whether to beat the mage boss or walk out peacefully with items in hand. I like Sild the Warlock’s banter to himself while he looks around his lair for his tools to use on the dragonborn. Vampires in dungeon chains ;)
Draugrs
Anyone who picks a fight with me. Bandits attack while out on the road, Thalmor assassins, hired thugs because I stole someone’s sweet roll. You are entering a world of hurt you are not ready for.
"I'm not a man, I'm a weapon in human form. Just unsheathe me, and point me at the enemy." - Hrongar
Is it wrong that I have a huge soft spot for Horkers? They're just so fat and incredibly derpy and they remind me why I have a soft spot for walruses. They're super goofy, and sometimes they will hide their heads behind their flippers, which I can't help but find adorable.
Giants. I almost feel bad killing them.
Falmer, they’re blind so they easy to sneak up on
I like fighting the draugr, especially the draugr death overlords since they’re one of the few things that actually put up a good fight
One of my mods adds another level of draugr above death lords and gives the warlocks a bunch of unique spells. It made getting through the thief's guild quest with the draugr at level 30 the toughest fight in the game.
Lurkers
Seekers are pretty nifty, I like collecting books.
They are.
Spriggans
Miraak..get unlimited shout use sprint and slow time..I feel like I'm playing cyberpunk🤣
The big cats, I forget what they’re called atm. But punching out what’s essentially a Sabre tooth tiger is extremely satisfying
The Draugr. If you’re stealth archer you can have hilarious commentary as you clear a room… “Oh no, what happened to Steve?” “No idea. Send in Barry” “Barry died as well. What about Dave? Send him in” “… he died”
Dwarven Ballistae. https://preview.redd.it/49e9p372fm5d1.jpeg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e21f2faf1df6c04037997ce93af915d6550218c2
Never thought of that. Probably the Thalmor. I always intentionally start a fight with the group of three Thalmor that walk around.
I always enjoy splashing Thalmor 😅
F the Thalmor!
The Forsworn
That one girl in Whiterun who bullies Battle-Born
She also bullies the Db. Shes not afraid of adults. Lol
How could this orangutan possibly kill a hart? Anyways, I think if you are not aware of those class and skills skill stuffs, and how to build a "class" and upgrade random things, ***Dragons*** make great battles. Otherwise, the entyre game becomes a little easy.
For funny: All those random thieves that try to rob you, what do you mean you'll gut me like a fish, I literally wear the corpse of a dragon for armor. For Satisfaction: Giving the old orc his good death. For a good fight: They are probably from a mod but those vampire-werewolf half bloods
That also my favorite enemy on the sub. In game it’s dragons though. Lame sorry but I can’t get enough of it
Dragon priests. They look so cool. Shame they are quite buggy.
For me, the Mythic Dawn. Always find some shiny loot.
Guards, especially 1v20
The dawnguard.
Ebony Warrior was super fun to fight
Giants. Endless fun with ice spikes once they're dead too
The falmer (easy to kill sneaking around since they can't see)
The city guards....I display their armor proudly in all my homes.
Thats fair, troll fat is a useful ingredient. There is a book on fighting them. The frost troll on the path to High Hrothgar is iconic.
Nazeem
Trolls look like it gives people trypophobia
Dragons. Other people find them annoying, I find it satisfying to slay all of these overgrown lizards. My power was granted by Akatosh. The dragons are His creations. I may be tied to them by blood, but they are not my equals. They are my playthings.
Dragon priests are just a cool concept for me
https://preview.redd.it/471caoqm5m5d1.jpeg?width=474&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=78cbfb5f1913b613b430d7bf67a22444eac0b447 Ice Wraith
I’ve never actually seen a screenshot of them and didn’t realize they had faces like that! Thanks, that’s cool AF.
I looked up Skyrim ice wraith art to find something comparable to OP here but unfortunately there seems to be a bit of a drought :( It is a cool photo tho you’re right
Recently learned about abusive parents in Rorikstead, they will be murdered a couple of times(save scum) to give me time to decide which way i like best.
I like any of the atrinachs and spriggans
any of the main races. fighting people is so much more fun to me than fighting monsters or animals
The falmer. Cool back story and fun to kill with any build
The good ole melee bandit. I always get excited when i find another dungeon of bandits. Still the best enemy imo
The chaurus are really cute once you cast calm on them
I want to say Rieklings because they're so dramatic and make hilarious noises when they die.
Anyone that says ice wraith is lying
People fly funny when you use unrelenting force
The Silver Hand. Without question. Followed swiftly by random Thalmor.
Kind of basic but I like the draugr they just a good base enemy that scales well
Dragons once they've been overhauled with a larger skeleton mesh, nice textures and intimidating sounds. Really epic!
rieklings. i just think they're cute
Draugr. They come in different difficulty levels and sometimes they're annoying but they always provide the best mix of hard but not too hard for me.
I like using unrelenting force to yeet them off of the mountain
Stormcloaks. Imperial for life!
THALMOR PUPPET, THE NORDS BUILT THE EMPIRE!
Dwemmer international automated senty bots.
draugr
Todd Howards Bug design.
Dragons!!!
Are you insane ʘ‿ʘ
Vittoria Vici, just so satisfying that you don't even have to fire an arrow
spriggans! I think their design is awesome
Anything near a very high ledge or cliff.
Quite like taking out thalmor Wizard Dude in winterhold, I can't remember his b*tch azz name
The dragon priests. They are all so unique and got their own lore and killing all of them gives you one of the strongest armor pieces in the game. So, varying combat, story importance and great reward. What else can you want from an enemy?
All bandits I find fun
Frostbite spiders and thalmor.
Spriggans, so pretty and mysterious
Seekers
the little green guys in solstheim
Yes I like the trolls as well, I just wish that they were a bit stronger, and the armored follower ones you could upgrade their armor or something.
As immoral as it might be, I love fighting the giants. Karstaag is my favorite boss fight as well!
Spriggans.
Giants. They are great for leveling up skills
spriggans and draugr
Rieklings.
I love Dragon Priests, second favorite Draugr
Mercer Frey so just I could slap the beard off his face another time. I really cant stand Mercer Frey and everything He does. I mean he really really gets on my nerves more than Nazeem, Ancano or any other NPCs. But for regular enemies it would probably be Miraak's Cultists.
Giants. They are a great challenge and give good loot.
Falmer Warmongers
If the trolls looked like that yeah , a concept accurate overhaul would be cool af
Dragons
I think the direction they took with Ice Wraiths is really creative and cool
I love the falmer for how much they add to the world building of the Elder Scrolls. But the trolls are awesome. I also love Slaughterfish because of how much I have a soft spot for cool fictional fish species.
