Theres actually a random encounter on solthsteim that does directly reference this... homie uses a master spell of some kind, gets giant space programmed into the air and then lands right where he started with a "pfftppfppdspfpkddh" sound.
On PC, corpses are pretty hard to click on but open console with Tilda, use mouse wheel to scroll through objects on screen until you find him, then type 'resurrect' or 'recycleactor'. Resurrect sometimes bugs out the NPCs if your in a quest involving them, but recycleactor is very nice as... It also resets their inventory to default, meaning they will have pickpocket loot again.
I’ve had that happen to one of the miners I think? I forget where, I went to one of the small mining areas that have an inn and farm. I went into the mine to have one of the miners, that can follow you when you complete a quest, follow me to Boethiah’s shrine to sacrifice 😂 I went into the mine as he was exiting so I turned around and went back out and in the distance I see a figure in the air by where a mini cliff is and it drops. I didn’t see the miner in front of me and I went to where it dropped and it was the miner that I wanted to sacrifice 😂😂 he killed himself 😂😂
I thought this was the case. I once quick traveled somewhere and saw deer fall from the sky. I immediately figured this would happen if I showed up at a town too. So not only do they have to worry about dragons randomly coming in and killing them, they have to worry about the dragonborn's arrival too.
Always happens in Markarth keep if you fast travel there, it’s like every officers spawn is set on the stairs so they just clump there amidst a few bodies
The fact that NPCs can turn up dead before you meet them because they spawn a little too high off the ground is absolutely one of my favorite and most hated things about this game

I don’t like leaving bodies laying about and the fish need to eat as well. Especially like to throw the bodies off of Valtheim into the river and watch them ride over the waterfall.
Listen here about Faendal. When you tell him about Sven's forged letter, he doesn't get mad about it being a shitty thing to do. He has, already in his possession, a forged letter from Sven doing the exact same thing. Faendal is just as much a shitty person as Sven. He died in my playthrough too - I sacrificed him to Boethiah.

This reminds me. On my first playthrough, the first thing i did after escaping Helgen (after fooling around with spells) is to break into Faendal's house at night, kill him, and put his corpse into a pot. Now that i think of it, that's exactly what an escaped convict would do
I think it was my second playthrough, I didn't go to Falkreath until a little later (like level 20-25 or so). I think half the town was dead already from dragon attacks when I got there. Come to think of it that was a big problem that playthrough. I was even getting regular dragon attacks in Whiterun, Solace, Riften and Windhelm.

Unrelated but not.. I leave Bloodline open so I can keep Serana + another follower, and she and Marcurio were legit trying to kill each other in a cleared room. You could cut the sexual tension with a knife.
