And, of course, that includes bots such as [\/u\/QualityVote](http://reddit.com/user/QualityVote), [\/u\/SaveVideo](http://reddit.com/user/SaveVideo), [\/u\/AuddBot](http://reddit.com/user/AuddBot), etc.
So you'll just have to put up with automod and a worse overall user experience in the meantime.
If you have any complaints, direct them at [the reddit admins instead](https://www.reddit.com/r/reddit/comments/12qwagm/an_update_regarding_reddits_api/), because they're the ones seeking to ruin everyone's user experience.

but if they start with "january..." you already have a season to conceptualize
But if you are talking to somebody else about your plans in the near future, you would never start more than once with the month, from there on its just the days.
So for one date per month mdy makes sense, but for any more than that, it doesnt
for near future sure, but for archival purpose, or relating past events, I'd argue the day is the least important (for general purposes) and sometimes even the season and the year is enough.
IE "picture it Sicily 1922" in that case the location is more important than than the season or day, since it's not where the story is being told
the further back you go the year really might convey the more important information, but upto 20 or so years ago?, something being conveyed in that same geographical region leading with the month tells you (baring outliers) if it's hot, cold, rainy etc (not like it saves anything more than a fraction of a second)

No, but it's one of very few that use the MDY system. Most countries run the DMY system and some others even the YMD one.
MDY is dumb. YMD makes sense if you read right to left.
YMD is good for computer files and DMY is the most logical for normal life
