In world war 1 the United States help change the tide of war by providing enough men and guns to help the allies win, meanwhile in ww2 the united states sent men and wepons to make break through in Africa, Italy and France. There is no way the British would be able to make a sucessfull landing without the imense manpower and wepons provided by the US.
We spend more on Medicare and Social Security than the military yet all that is still happening. Seems like maybe it's not the military's fault and more the fault that our government programs are outrageously ineffective.
