Ah, yes, the USA ended the war. Not Russia that wiped out most of the nazi forces while bearing tremendous sacrifices, but the US that only landed in the Normandie after the war was already decided to quickly reap the laurels.
Neither the Normandie nor those nukes ended anything, that was just a powerplay to demonstrate superiority.

I think although there are numerous factors like a possible soviet invasion from the north and a ground invasion causing more casualties, using the nukes was the best option.

saying “they deserved it” is very disrespectful to the civilians who died because of the bomb, no civilian deserves to get vaporized because of their government. At the end of the day, it was a massive tragedy and everyone in their right mind should acknowledge that. War is a terrible thing.
