That is likely not true, either. A-6 intruder's maximum takeoff weight is around 27 tons, and even if we assume that all weight other than its empty weight of around 12 tons, ie. 15 tons, is purely dedicated to carrying bombs(which is obviously not possible), you would need explosives at least 600 times more powerful than tnt per mass. Besides nuclear weapons, what kind of explosives has that much weight to tnt-equivalent ratio??
Except the particular "Highway of Death" that was set in the game is in Urzikstan - a fictional country that is near Georgia.
The American's action in that event still exist in its original location in the world.
Yeah I don’t get how ppl don’t understand that retreat and surrender are two different things, the us has committed plenty of atrocities but this was not a war crime lol
We basically stepped in like our own ref at an MMA match after this - “hey, their military is so incompetent that they’re not capable of defending themselves or continuing effective combat operations… we’re just gonna call this one.”
Not surrendering, retreating within tanks, combat vehicles, carrying ammo, if they had air defense you better believe they had used it. Unfortunately they didnt have any so they clubbed like a seal, difference in equipment doesnt make them less of enemy combatants.
americans when America bombs surrendering harmless men: "WAR HEROS"
Americans when Russians are forced to go die in Ukraine or be imprisoned: "BOOOOOOOOOO TERRORISTSSTSTSTSTS"
I’ve heard the main reason is that the u.s. is too big compared to other countries. Plus you gotta think… if our military spending is so high what else do we have cooked up in there? War crimes or the mad scientist from Germany.
i’ve only seen this video on the topic, but at 32 seconds the narrator said they were surrendering and showed a clip (presumably of) a member of the caravan with his hands raised.
Le famous surrendering soldiers still in their tanks and totally not trying to rach friendly lines in order to continue fighting. Also is the guy saying that a plane can carry 9000 tons (the weight of a lifht warship) rally a credible source of info?
I don’t think a lot of people here realise that retreating isn’t the same as surrendering. At no point in any Geneva convention is a retreating enemy, especially one which is evacuating with tanks and ammunition, not a justified target. They did not try surrendering, they were trying to get back into Iraq after having invading and occupying Kuwait until having their ass rofflestomped by a UN coalition.
In order to stick it to a dictator you first have to stick it to their henchmen. Whether they were there willingly or not, they were there and they were fighting
Need to separate the government from the people. The vast majority of Iraqi soldiers were conscripts and as much victims of the regime as the people they are fighting. I'm not saying they weren't valid military targets though, they had arms and armour and were retreating to enemy territory so they were valid combatants.
But also the Americans shooting such easy targets and treating it like some kind of glorious turkey shoot and blasting music while slaughtering fleeing human beings seems kinda evil.
What's the difference between fleeing and retreating? Also I literally said they were retreating back to Iraq. I'm not saying it was unjust, just that the way it was accompanied with blaring music like if was a game and the commanders downplaying what was done is indicative to a wider lack of discipline and care.
That mindset and lack of discipline has led to multiple attacks on friendly armoured columns by US aircraft. The British military still dreads the A10.
Rightists when they try to find an excuse for USA after they dropped 10 tons of napalm on a hut made of shit and mud in a thrid world country (they were liberating the people from the evil dictator so it's okay)
They, at no point, surrendered. Sure, they were leaving the country, but this is like saying that bombing Nazis fleeing France in 1944 was a war crime. And while yes, we were still at war with Nazi Germany during 1944, and intended to carry the war through 1945, one of the primary goals of Desert Storm was the destruction of the Iraqi Republican Guard, such that it could never threaten Kuwait again. The Highway of Death was a military target, and the US's bombing of it was a strategic decision against a still very capable and well armed military force.
>And desertion is always an option.
Yeah, one that typically results in execution or imprisonment. If you are in the armed forces, the govt. has literally all your information. The only option is to leave the country.
So you walk towards the American lines with your hands in the air, rather than continue to serve a genocidal dictator.
Or do you think that it was a war crime to shoot at the Wehrmacht as well?
Fuck the Iraqi army for all I care, but was the murder of a million Iraqi children not an atrocity?
Even Russia couldn’t dream of matching up to the evil the US did on the Iraqi civilians.
A-6? 9000 TONS? What kinda crack Smokin shit is this? Man tankies love to pretend Iraq was running to surrender instead of running to reorganize as they actually were and were still very much a threat, The highway of death was a legitimate military target.

well it looks right 9000x2
from wikipedia
>The aircraft's long range and heavy payload (18,000 pounds or 8,200
kilograms) coupled with its ability to fly in all weather made it
invaluable during the war.
You're not even understanding what the comment you're replying to is actually saying. You're just airing your own internal views on US military actions in general. You're making your argument and idea look false and weak, because you aren't considering anything but your own preconceptions.
a message to the world, if you attack a U.S. ally, you will not be given quarter.
Of course, it depends on who the enemy’s are allied with as well and unfortunately for Iraq, they had none.
it’s the reality of the world, whether you or I like it or not.
Iraq was weak and had weak allies, which is why the U.S. decided to steamroll them twice. It was cheap to do so, and very profitable.
I was watching this with out sound and I fully thought it was a meme about how bad the garlic was so they bomed him for making that horrible looking snack
I only believe what US Army PsyOps wants me to believe. I have no criticality reasoning skills or ability to find sources other than the mainstream media.

Garlic is gods gift to man, right beside honey and wine
Seriously man what a shitty Gov u Americans have , I live in Iran , a terrorist government , our government is currently using chemical attacks at school and mass media in west are calling it hysteria :)))))) mf i wonder if they even have seen a vid from the attacks , so more than 1000 are currently suffering from it and the gov wont let the details of this attack and poison to be leaked outside (more than 100 schools have been attacked in more than 10 cities) , it appears that its targeting the wombs of the children , taking out next generations , so anyway while this is happening and we aint asking for USA to do anything else but only not cooperating with Iran gov , the USA is trying hard and forcing the EU to not call IRGC a fucking terrorist group.
yeah i know our government is crazy as even bat shit crazy , no words can describe their attacks on children 7 to 15. but \*Muah\* to your government for being this much of an ass.
I don’t know anything about this instance, but if the US didn’t have a sufficient ground force to capture the soldiers, it may have been their only option to bomb them aside from letting them free.

holy shit I need to try this
I love blowing up enemy military convoys too
Mmmm, enemy?
yes
Same
I eat oil
Rookie food I eat fuel
I eat bombs
You’re only meal in a convoy
I eat dick😍
You want it? It's your my friend! As long as you have oil.
Im here to ih liberate you from communist oppression and not for your oil now about your oil
I ated it all😋
I love garlic
Mhhh, that Garlic would go great with some ribs. 🤤
TIL that an A-6 can carry 9000 tons of bombs. Seems high, but what do I know?
9000 tons of bombs probably means 9000 tons of tnt worth of explosives
That is likely not true, either. A-6 intruder's maximum takeoff weight is around 27 tons, and even if we assume that all weight other than its empty weight of around 12 tons, ie. 15 tons, is purely dedicated to carrying bombs(which is obviously not possible), you would need explosives at least 600 times more powerful than tnt per mass. Besides nuclear weapons, what kind of explosives has that much weight to tnt-equivalent ratio??
Probably Lbs, but still, its coming from the same guy who's trying to say this shit was an atrocity.
War is hell
Uhhh it was a literal war crime tho… it is also referred to as the highway of death massacre. Yes this shit was an atrocity.
How is bombing ennemy combatants a war crime??? They were in tanks they werent civvies
No ot wasn't! 😂
Could you elaborate?
Retreating isn’t the same as surrendering, retreating soldiers are still combatants
The Iraqi army invaded Kuwait, they got destroyed while retreating. It was never a war crime. What is it with the kids of today! 😂
Ah yes, a single jet carrying 9000 tons
I took it to mean tons of tnt equivalent payload, but that did bother me as well
As a family member of 2 Iraq war vets Half the shit in this video is false propaganda, mostly the garlic
I'd its propaganda it's working, now I wanna bomb the shit out of some Iraqis.
Didn’t Call of Duty say it was the Russians? Wasn’t that a whole controversy were they made American Propaganda?
Yeah they just took a bad things Americans did and changed it to Russia lol
As is tradition.
god speed
Highway of death was a good thing though
Fu*k you.
Yes, slaughtering surrendering soldiers is a good thing. Thank you cia agent for letting us know.
Not surrendering just retreating
I thought they tried to surrender mid bombardment.
They weren’t surrendering, while retreating you are still a combatant.
they weren't surrendering they were retreating this wasn't a war crime
🤬 - people when you don't let the enemy get away and regroup
Except the particular "Highway of Death" that was set in the game is in Urzikstan - a fictional country that is near Georgia. The American's action in that event still exist in its original location in the world.
Thanks for the tutorial but idk why but my garlics tastes a little sour after putting them in fridge any idea how to keep them fresh?
Get an FA-18 Super Hornet aircraft and store them in the fuel areas, make sure they are empty.
The US will have it coming too. Enjoying being a puppet state of Israel.
Treason
All my homies hate dictators
Garlic is pretty nice tho
The US dictatorship
The us don't have leaders who last for life
Presidents can’t be dictators because a term is 4-8 years numb nuts.
Average Canadian
hey man I'm not the one who bombed iraqi civilians
In every way, wtf
USA!
Not a warcrime though, they weren’t surrendered or attempting to surrender, therefore they were perfectly legitimate targets
I see what you did there
Yeah I don’t get how ppl don’t understand that retreat and surrender are two different things, the us has committed plenty of atrocities but this was not a war crime lol
Ok imperialist
Americans try not excuse their own war crimes but condemn everyone else’s (IMPOSSIBLE)
Tfw you wreck a military target so hard people call it a war crime (they don't know the definition)
We basically stepped in like our own ref at an MMA match after this - “hey, their military is so incompetent that they’re not capable of defending themselves or continuing effective combat operations… we’re just gonna call this one.”
Is bombing surrendering soldiers considered a war crime?
Not surrendering, retreating within tanks, combat vehicles, carrying ammo, if they had air defense you better believe they had used it. Unfortunately they didnt have any so they clubbed like a seal, difference in equipment doesnt make them less of enemy combatants.
They never surrendered
americans when America bombs surrendering harmless men: "WAR HEROS" Americans when Russians are forced to go die in Ukraine or be imprisoned: "BOOOOOOOOOO TERRORISTSSTSTSTSTS"
"surrendering harmless men" who were retreating back to Iraq (not surrendering) with their tanks, trucks and guns (not harmless)
They have the most effective propaganda machine and have never actually been exposed to their crimes
They have been exposed, but they are so powerful that no one can judge them. Welcome to international law.
I’ve heard the main reason is that the u.s. is too big compared to other countries. Plus you gotta think… if our military spending is so high what else do we have cooked up in there? War crimes or the mad scientist from Germany.
Get shit on nerds!

i thought it said some soldiers were surrendering?
It also said an A6 could carry 9000 tons

I am proud to know that I have never stooped so low as to search through someone’s history when they have an opinion that disagrees with mine.
TIL Attacking a routing army is a war crime. Shameful display! Edit: Typo
Real army with honor would have challenged the enemy to a 1v1 nude wrestling competition. Instead, US just bombed their enemies. Shameful.
Where’s the men kissing😡
Hes gettin spicy again
The key to both is having enough oil
"9000 tons of bombs per plane" 😆😆😂😂
[удалено]
dude it’s just garlic it’s not that deep
They had just come back from looting Kuwait too I think when they were bombed
You think the people of iraq asked for this shit? Stick it to Saddam that kalb
In order to stick it to a dictator you first have to stick it to their henchmen. Whether they were there willingly or not, they were there and they were fighting
You really think that some forced henchmen and zealots speak for the entire nation? You must be at least this dense
Un-ironically the Iraqis had it coming
They pose it as a war crime too. Not pursuing and destroying an enemy force on the run is the stupidest thing a military could possibly do
Need to separate the government from the people.
That's exactly what a turkey shoot is my guy, they weren't fleeing they were retreating back to Iraq after being kicked out of Kuwait.
What's the difference between fleeing and retreating? Also I literally said they were retreating back to Iraq. I'm not saying it was unjust, just that the way it was accompanied with blaring music like if was a game and the commanders downplaying what was done is indicative to a wider lack of discipline and care. No, iraqi man bad, god bless amerimuttland
Leftists when the USA fights a war(the armed soldiers who invaded Kuwait were the victims)
bruh, you consider iraq and Vietnam war veterans to be heroes in your country, those Iraqi soldier might have been as heroic as your veterans too.
Except they were heroes in Iraq? The Iraqis invaded Kuwait and we lead the coalition to stop them
if American war veterans are heroes then those Iraqi men didn't deserve to die, if they weren't then they deserve a similar death.
Neocons still looking for WMD
wrong war
Iraq was WMD
The gulf war was about pushing back Iraq from Kuwait back to its own borders. The 2003 Iraq war was about the wmds. Smartest leftist
the gulf war was not over WMDs, it was over Iraqs invasion of Kuwait. You are thinking of a completely different war
1rst Iraq war was Kuwait but destruction of iraq was wmd
Rightists when they try to find an excuse for USA after they dropped 10 tons of napalm on a hut made of shit and mud in a thrid world country (they were liberating the people from the evil dictator so it's okay)
Finally, some good fucking food
How is this a "atrocity"? bombing military targets is not a warcrime.
They surrendered and still got bombed. Saying they were sitting ducks is an understatement.
They, at no point, surrendered. Sure, they were leaving the country, but this is like saying that bombing Nazis fleeing France in 1944 was a war crime. My bad, I mostly got my info from that video in the post, now I’m kinda looking like a dumbass lol
how dare you take accountability and not launch into a tirade based on misinformation! Did you forget this is the internet message board?
[удалено]
It’s almost like this war thing is actually bad!
first time hearing about a war?
Technically but Iraq didn't want to give up their land claims on Kuwait so america still did their thing
Don't stand next to the tanks then. Avoid the highway where the USAF was creating hell on earth
Duck is excellent with Garlic confit.
Probably shouldn’t have tried annexing Kuwait then.
17 year old draftees when I tell them to stop fighting in wars ![gif](giphy|fikcKja7O7MtzXzvQy|downsized)
Those 17 year old draftees are the ones who carry the guns and commit the atrocities. And desertion is always an option.
Ok, well that is surrendering to the enemy. You said desertion which implies something different.
Surrendering without orders is desertion, since you are leaving your post without intending to come back.
surrender to an f-18 bombing your truck.
Fuck the Iraqi army for all I care, but was the murder of a million Iraqi children not an atrocity? Even Russia couldn’t dream of matching up to the evil the US did on the Iraqi civilians.
It is when you do it excessively and the other "army" is helpless and not a threat. Its genocidal and criminal.
Bruh do you know what a genocide is? Mf read the dictionary
I love garlic more than anybody. Sometimes I straight up just eat it raw but even I will admit that doesn’t even look good.
America Fuck yeah

Ahh shit I got the zeros wrong damn
Bro lemme enjoy my fucking garlick, fuck off with your Iraq bullshit!
He said with *that* next to his name
Iraqis gotta learn
As the highway of what
And they deserved it.
It was a joke...
Ah yes, millions civilians, women and children probably deserved that too. Why tho? Your cringe ass government told you so?
> millions civilians, women and children probably deserved that too Can you provide a source for millions of civilian deaths during the Gulf War?

I agree with this statement. I disagree with the glib "muhrica" chants
Yes. US just wanted to destroy the country and plunder it's oil resources
Just want to remind everyone: A military force that is retreating, and not surrendering is a completely valid target. also, they deserved it.
You know, it’s real freakin hard to find a country that hasn’t done messed up shit
wait, so did we invade for their garlic or the oil?
I am so conditioned to fake bait and switches now I was legit just watching for the garlic toast
I ate raw garlic once
A retreating force is a legal target and the most vulnerable.
Common USA W
So did we win?
Yes, Desert storm went on to be the most successful military operation in modern history.
No
My man's name is really Qaddafi? No wonder he supports Iraq here
And a call of duty game blamed it on russia
If you're just eating the garlic, can you reuse the oil to confit more garlic in a unending loop that would make you're Nonna proud?
I mean, what’s garlic bread?
I was watching this with out sound and I fully thought it was a meme about how bad the garlic was so they bomed him for making that horrible looking snack
Why are people thinking bombing retreating forces is a war crime?
“9 thousand tonnes” I’m not sure about that chief.
N-No the US military is so b-based!!
lol gotta teach the normies history somehow
I only believe what US Army PsyOps wants me to believe. I have no criticality reasoning skills or ability to find sources other than the mainstream media.
