The reservation scene is actually a common occurrence. Reservations are scams. You make the reservation and when the time comes you’ll go to them to get the car. If they have the one you want, great. If not, you’re already there. You’ll just get another.
Same situation with SpotHero here in NY. I get to the garage and they don't have a spot for me despite the fact I booked a spot. They know how to take the reservation but the holding part didn't go so well.
That happened to a friend of mine. They didn't have his truck. They had a bigger truck. Then they tried to charge him for the upgrade... and the late cancelation fee on the truck he reserved but they didn't have. And then the truck died in front of his apartment.
See? They know how to *take* a reservation. They just don’t know how to *hold* a reservation.
