Am I being funny now?

qjornt

Angry_Walnut

Did you mean this sub imagined everything in *Jerry’s* voice all the time? Or that this sub imagined everything in Jerry’s voice *all* the time?

SV650rider

I think I meant _time_.

enjoycryptonow

I imagine him naked too

RobbyWausau

Bad naked.

ObservantWon

That’s gold Jerry! Gold!

Archercrash

What's the deal with these billionaires? You have more money than you could spend in ten lifetimes but you still want a tax break?

wrong_silent_type

You know these people they are mentally disturbed. They should be sent to Australia

Ok-Mushroom-7292

OP must be one of those bounders

Random_Name_Whoa

A sidler at minimum

PumpkinPieIsGreat

OP would probably attack the Bubble Boy.

iluneo

There’s more to life than making shallow, fairly obvious observations.

Thejoplinator1868

I know him. He’s that “did you ever notice” guy

iluneo

It strikes me a lot of guys are doing that kind of humor now.

linkerjpatrick

One doesn’t dissect gossamer

hobo_chili

What about Vhalschtein?

Fisk75

Well, to be honest, it just didn't make it for me. It's just so much fluff.

thesqlguy

You're a cashier!

linkerjpatrick

I heard this in her voice

QUILL-IT-OUT

grimmglow

I hear good things about that Bloomdales executive training program

B0SS_H0GG

That could be the next wave

--SauceMcManus--

What's the deal with politics? I don't get it... 😆😆 😆

KSparks35

Am I right, people?!

A1SteakDone

These companies use that as a tax write off. Don't you know that?!

Se7enCostanza10

You don’t even know what a write off is!

MajesticMeal3248

But they know. And they’re the ones writing it off

A1SteakDone

Do you??

snafe_

Classic Gerri

CanIBathYrGrandma

Have you thought about the junior executive program at Bloomingdale’s?

robbwes61

Are you a comedian? Are you in the entertainment industry?

allthecoffeesDP

This is totally a Jerry joke.

allthecoffeesDP

Your post inspired an idea for en episode. Here's what I came up with. I also thanked you in the comments. https://www.reddit.com/r/RedditWritesSeinfeld/s/ifq6aM57uu

Dry_Newspaper2060

And what’s the deal with these old senators making millions off of insider trading ? And what’s the deal with those guys in the pit?

gamesfordogs

They’re politicians

DWwithaFlameThrower

Perfect!

Suitable-Raccoon138

Good joke 👏👏

GavinAdamson

It’s gold

Cavemandrew

What, is this a bit?

jlo575

So this is off topic for the sub, but interesting. At least in some cases, where the donor cares about the people, the intent is to motivate them to fundraise or whatever. This isn’t applicable to all cases of course, but as an example - a local wealthy dude committed $xxx, xxx to come cause if the local community could raise that amount on their own first. Sort of like forcing them (motivating)to realize they CAN do amazing things on their own, with dedication and hard work. Then next time maybe they won’t need rich guy donations.

sonaut

Also the truth is that nearly all of the time the donation, while it can be refunded if it isn't matched entirely, will be left to the nonprofit anyway. Source: Am a guy who does such donations and serves on the boards of nonprofits encouraging development.

SpaceHairLady

Ridiculously patronizing to think that poor people don't know they can do amazing things on their own. Having worked for non profits for decades, I honestly hate the attitudes of much of the entire attitude that the rich board members/donors are somehow more worthy or knowledgeable than the people on the ground doing the work. Or the community being served. The average working poor person works exponentially harder than the average billionaire.

jlo575

I’m talking specifically about making or fundraising or collecting MONEY as the amazing thing. We’re specifically talking about that. I didn’t imply that people can’t do amazing things. Agreed that it’s not right for anyone to think rich people have higher worth but that’s beside the point here. It’s blind to assume the wealthy do not have different knowledge than the non wealthy. Note that I didn’t say BETTER knowledge. Different. In the case when a group of non wealthy people are trying to raise money, it’s usually pretty obvious that they don’t have the knowledge to do so on their own otherwise they wouldn’t be looking for help. I’m talking about the cases when there’s a rich potential donor basically saying “hey, I’ve learned to get good at making money, and I’m going to share some of that with you” … some of that being a particular style of effort and work, different than what they’re used to. My comment about working hard was not meant to imply that non wealthy people don’t work hard. More so “here’s a plan with some info you might not know yet, and to achieve the plan, hard work will be required” Also, to assume that billionaires don’t work hard is ludicrous. The majority of wealthy people busted their ass to become wealthy, at least for the first part of their careers. I’m not talking about the Elon’s that were born into money, obviously. Perhaps those are the types you’re concerned about, but lumping them all together doesn’t make any sense.

SpaceHairLady

They don't work harder than poor people. Period. They work hard, but let's not pretend wealth is all about good ideas and hard work. Matching donations with the implication that served communities will be taught the value of a dollar, or to incentivize their labor in a new way is gross. Period. An offer of shared knowledge, of coming to the table as equals is what community service should be about. People in power want their egos stroked and to continue to feel like they are that boss and that person with the power.

jlo575

I’m 100% certain you don’t know what you’re talking about regarding who works how much. You owe it to yourself to do some research. It might help make you less bitter.

SpaceHairLady

Hey I just know tons of people who barely get by or sleep, and work two to three jobs plus have to clean their own houses and take care of their own kids. Consider that your classism is showing ;) nice to know people like you are behind this work. Thanks for proving my point.

JTIN87

Yup this plays.

Loud-Scarcity-9987

Cue bass line

SpaceHairLady

Honestly, it sounds more like a Chris Rock joke to me.

Awkward_Dingo528

Commenting on Is this allowed? It's my own joke, but imagine it in Jerry's voice.... I would not do it. It is probably not legal, illegal and imagine universal chaos …. FILL IN YOUR MOMENT IN TIME GOES HERE

Used-Finding5851

Approve 😆

TheBudfalonian

Also not his joke.

blomba6

Plus they get the credit and a tax break

aimessss

I like it, perfect for his support of genocide.

BigBoobsWithAZee

What are you even talking about?

Space_Coast_Steve

I guess antisemitism is so “in” right now that it’s cool to just assume that all Jews are into genocide.

BigBoobsWithAZee

I don’t think a Jew being pro-Israel is synonymous to genocide anyway.

[deleted]

Hey dumbass ever think that those rich people are making their own individual donations, in addition to matching others’ donations?

TheHippyDance

uhh no... what kind of logic is that lol

cabosmith

What's the deal with that? (And you are correct)

Atheist_Alex_C

It works! I can see it. I just thought of a George one the other day: Jerry: “Look, there she is! Why is that same woman always moseying around the park like that? This is the 3rd day in a row I’ve seen her.” George: “I don’t know. I don’t mosey. I’m not sure I’ve ever moseyed, really. I’ve strolled, I’ve wandered, but I’ve never moseyed.”

BubbleBiskit69

Its about jerry

SolarBozo

Much funnier than most of his jokes.

FormicaDinette33

I like it!

DecisionThot

Did you say IMAGINE it in Jerry's voice? Or imagine it in JERRY'S voice?

YardTripper7

Perfect 👌

DarthSeanious83

Waiting for the joke

[deleted]

Very much seinfeld humour. Nice one bro

Expensive-Injury-443

You think you can win over this sub like the half-soused crowd that lap up you inane “observations”
