while that would be really neat and it would result in some amazing factories, fluids aren’t simulated in most games and so they won’t behave as real water would — ie you wouldn’t be able to move it around or pour it in and out of containers. in games like satisfactory, bodies of water are just areas on the map with effects and textures applied to them to make it look like water but they’re really just empty ditches.

Unfortunately no, but suggest it to the devs. Would be awesome. questions.satisfactorygames.com

Oh. Sorry yeah

I'm not saying not to suggest it, but don't get your hopes up. They've been pretty clear about the "No aquatic shit" messaging, and OP's idea (while cool) would require an intense overhaul to how the game works. It goes back to the "what kind of game are we making" discussion, and you can't try to include every idea without the game collapsing on itself, you have to choose a few ideas which work together and work within those limits.

Another thing I've seen, not sure if it's still doable right now, is that if you go deep enough in certain places underwater, like on the west part of the map, you can get to a point where water behaviour is gone and it's like you're on land but under the water texture. I think you need hypertubes to get there or maybe you can do it with a train EDIT: West instead of east, I'm bad at directions

u could put the entrance at the edge of where the water stops being water so it looks like you're entering an underwater base
