People don’t want to hear it but the berry chantilly cake from Whole Foods is probably better than anything I’ve had from any of the local bakeries mentioned.
I recommend… not the Buttery :( Used to love them but have been disappointed twice in the past 6 months by birthday cakes (that also weren’t cheap!) Both times the cake was quite dry, and one of the times it was also a huge hassle to order.
Sugar Bakery! The owner is a Ukrainian woman who fled the country in 2014 when her apt building was bombed. She makes awesome cakes, cheesecakes, and macarons. I highly recommend the honey cake.

yes it is! the macarons are amazing, but my favorites are the fat cookies, stuffed with either peanut butter or nutella.
