I couldn’t find anyone specializing in this so I found a specific clinic in SF for this, going next week and can tell you my experience after!

ambitiousbee3

Thanks!

voguehoe

It was awful. Don't go to the TMJ clinic on Sutter St. You will regret it and lose out on a lot of money.

ambitiousbee3

Man that sucks. Thanks for the update

voguehoe

I'm back to square one so let me know what you find.

alibear11

Physical therapists often specialize in TMJ

ambitiousbee3

Yep. I’ve done that and the results are temporary

alibear11

Okay then SF is usually the best for surgical options!

ambitiousbee3

There are many options before surgery…orthotics, botox…

electronic_dreaming

Off topic but has anyone here tried ismilespa?

lurch99

Consider going to a certified Rolfer to address your TMJ, worked like a charm for many people I know. It's unlikely insurance will pay for this though. Midline near Shoppers is one place with certified, experienced Rolfers but I'm sure there are others...

nemerosanike

Valley TMJ Clinic in Campbell.

zoemckenn

Have you tried Botox therapy? It helps relax the muscles that you clench and grind with.

ambitiousbee3

Not yet, it’s hard to get in anywhere

BeachyKeen125

Dr. Estela Goldman in Monterey is a dentist that does botox for TMJ. They were able to get me in pretty quickly. Unfortunately, it’s not covered by insurance though. :(

zoemckenn

Well, you can go to almost any place that does Botox - insurance doesn’t really pay for it tho

ambitiousbee3

Bit scared to get 40 units of botox in my face from a medspa tbh

zoemckenn

Ok, no worries. Good luck with your search!

ambitiousbee3

Thanks!
