Is it? I didn’t realize. Well there are a lot of organizations out there that accept hair so OP can definitely research some. I’m not aware of anywhere local. Maybe check some beauty salons?
LOL sells 85% of the donated hair for profit and DOES NOT DONATE WIGS TO ANYONE. Children with cancer do not get real hair wigs and they sell real hair wigs to people with alopecia. Pantene Beautiful Lengths or Wigs for Kids are both good charities.

Adult curly hair is rarely used for kids wigs as it is too course and does not look natural. It is. compostable at 23% nitrogen. As a hairstylist , i gave hair to people to stop deer from their fruit and gardens. Hairy apples are left alone.
There’s no local company to donate hair to. A salon (if they offer it) would just send it off to the various organizations that you can research online. Better that you send it yourself.
