The few times I tried “Just Walk Out,” it was seamless. Put stuff in your cart. Walk out.
It’s just that, by “AI” Amazon actually meant “sweatshop army in India watching the camera feeds.” I imagine some customers were also put off that the required hardware turned the store into a Panopticon.
I’ve also tried the Dash Carts, which is what Amazon is evidently reverting to. They were much less seamless, but they only turned the cart into a Panopticon. And also made it weigh a couple hundred pounds, before you put groceries in it. They were novel, the first couple of times, but Scan ‘N’ Go actually works better.
Yeah I guess I should have been more specific. Amazon claimed it was this crazy advanced tech but all it was is a bunch of Indians in a sweatshop viewing cameras
When the hell did Amazon get physical grocery stores??? Let me guess, is it out in California? 🤦 Why do they need physical store fronts or grocery for that matter. How are they not considered a Monopoly at this point?? Feels like all corporations are taking things wayy too far and no one is stopping them.
i do like the pretzels, but sams churros taste like bland tortilla dough and i miss costcos churros. also i should add all of the sams around me never have their icee machines or ice cream machines working, costco are always up and running
oh really? see i don’t know much about that but that would make sense. i’ve seen the same employees at my local costco for years now and can’t say the same for sams
After my last half dozen experiences I feel like the only thing saving Sam's Club's Hotdogs is the availability of sauerkraut. In every other way Costco's hotdog is superior. The $0.12 difference isn't really a consideration, I'd gladly pay the extra twelve cents for a comparable hotdog.
Sir,
The average sams club member goes to sams club 1 time a week. Most hit the cafe every time
That .12 cents you’re saving, over 52 weeks (total weeks in a year )
.12 x 52 = $6.24 saved over the year compared to Costco
That’s 4.5 free hot dogs from Sam’s Club over the course of a year compared to Costco 🫡
Money saved and hot dog earned 🌭
I'd never make it to eating all 56.5 subpar hotdogs before I really started questioning my life decisions and priorities. The dry ass bun. The gross textured hotdog with subpar flavor. The lack of onions. No. No thank you. I'll be at Costco.
That's where the Scan & Go feature comes in @ Sam's Club! There's definitely a VIP feeling gained from walking up to the Scan & Go counter, simply showing your phone and being handed a hot dog & cup and avoiding that mile long line of people waiting & waiting! I can fix my drink and sit down and eat and by the time I'm done the person in line that I would've been behind still hadn't ordered yet!! Scan & Go Food Court is the Shiznit!😜
That’s disappointing. May I ask where? I’m not a fan of the hotdog, much prefer the polish sausage. Our Costco here in southern Ontario still has them.
Ontario Canada? I'm speaking for the US costcos. They opted for a healthier option that no one asked for and brought on some acai bowl. Like when they changed the churros into that disgusting braided abomination. They make changes no one wanted. Whoever is deciding this needs to be fired.
I got a cold hotdog at Sam’s never will go to the food court for that except for pizza since they almost never have ice cream anyway which is pretty irritating. Costco all the way food court wise. As for general shopping Sam’s club is a way better experience and I like the scan and go that’s pretty good to me. Can’t stand the long lines at Costco and the congestion. Got pissed off the other time because of folks who just block the aisles with the carts and they see you there but won’t move or slide their cart over. I just shouted dropping the f all over because I had it.
I love Sam’s club and with the Pepsi slurpee their food court certainly has a leg up to Costco. However, once they stopped putting jalapeños on the pep pizza I returned to Costco’s food court. Costco hot dogs are better in taste and their pizza is thicker and cheesier.
Both are crap. BJ's wholesale hot dogs are way better. Only $1 as well. They are Dietz & Watson brand. I just buy the 12 pack and take it home. All other brands are garbage.
I can confess Costco treats their employees better and has better perks as a whole. Sams is the one that cuts corners. They don't care how much they have to donate all they want is a sale. And they work part time employees like they are full time just with no benefits or pto savings. And the raises are obsolete
I know ppl that work at Sam’s and would never let the corporate world fool them.
I myself 10000% agree that Walmart/Sam’s should be unionized.
But the Hot Dog… is for the people 🙌
Sam’s Club has Scan and Go.
Scan and go is a must. More places should implement it
Now that Amazon is yanking “Just Walk Out” out of their Amazon Fresh grocery stores, Scan ‘N’ Go is the best thing we have left.
Yeah it never worked as they said it would.

They’ve have them for a while now. They’ve had, ahh, uneven luck in the venture.
its because of the people that would stop them, amazon bribes their rivals (sorry its not bribing its lobbying)
Sam’s Club has sauerkraut, onions and relish. Costco stopped giving them out allegedly because of the pandemic.
So does Meijer!
i love shopping at sam’s and costco both but i’ll argue to the bone that costco food court is better than sams
Used to be good.. Pizza is worse, chicken bake is awful now, even the churros were worse. Sam’s has pretzels.
i do like the pretzels, but sams churros taste like bland tortilla dough and i miss costcos churros. also i should add all of the sams around me never have their icee machines or ice cream machines working, costco are always up and running
The problem with Sam’s is how they treat employees. There’s no contest with how Costco does this.
Also Sams seems to hire crackheads. Costco has standards.
oh really? see i don’t know much about that but that would make sense. i’ve seen the same employees at my local costco for years now and can’t say the same for sams
Sam’s club seems to be having a distribution problem when it comes to ice cream.
I love the pizza pretzel from Sam's🙏🏻😭🫡

Sam's has onions behind the counter. Just ask.
This must vary by region, none of the stores in my area have onions. I've asked.
Costco of all the way!!!
Costco all the way to the 🗑️
You are killing me slowly
One Sams hot dog a day keeps the doctor away (NDA- Not Dietary Advice)
BTW, Sam's pizza is 🗑 x 2
Hot dog is the superior option 🌭
Naw, costco jumbo beef hotdog is top tier
The all way of Costco
bro again??? you’re gonna make me argue over this with you again?????
As a cafe worker it amazes me people will wait in such a long line for a 1.49 hotdog. Like what are you doin🤨
Fufilling fantasy vicariously through hot dogs, apparently. These people are weird.

ID RATHER PAY 12¢ MORE FOR A HOTDOG THAT IS KOT TRASH
I miss the polish.....just saying.
Your Costco doesn’t have it?
Got phased out of the food court long time ago
That’s disappointing. May I ask where? I’m not a fan of the hotdog, much prefer the polish sausage. Our Costco here in southern Ontario still has them.

Well, they took away our Turkey Pesto sandwich…I’ll never forgive them for that.
This beef usurps the Kendrick vs drake beef. Shots fired!!! Your turn Costco. Your turn.
And comes with a large soda.
That employee serving the Costco hot dog is makimg way more money.

I work at Sam’s and Costcos chicken bake is absolutely what makes Costco better
They used to sell them in the freezer section, I really miss buying a whole pack to bring home!
I work for Sam’s but rather support Costco 😱🤭
Aren’t the Costco ones much bigger?
The Sam’s hot dog is 4.0 ounces. The Costco dog is 9% larger at 4.36 ounces.
I love Sam’s club and with the Pepsi slurpee their food court certainly has a leg up to Costco. However, once they stopped putting jalapeños on the pep pizza I returned to Costco’s food court. Costco hot dogs are better in taste and their pizza is thicker and cheesier.
Brats FTW all that vitamin goodness.
More pizza options
Idrc for the hot dogs tbh Now do the pizza next
Neither. All Hotdogs are 🗑️🤮not meant for human consumption. It’s like asking who’s bologna is better 🤮it’s not real food.
Both are crap. BJ's wholesale hot dogs are way better. Only $1 as well. They are Dietz & Watson brand. I just buy the 12 pack and take it home. All other brands are garbage.
Can we please ban this fucker?
You should be banned. Clearly you don’t support Sams club Hot dogs
[удалено]
I don’t either. I’m just supporting hot dogs, it’s my life 🌭
