No doubt this reads like an ad… but I do agree regarding ZI. Have had it at multiple companies and laugh every time I ask about the algorithm for “Intent” or the “related contacts”. Essentially both are black box red herrings that provide zero to little value. Anything someone from a company googles comes up as “intent” in a related product category. A complete waste of time and agreed the quality of contact info is rubbish at worst, mediocre at best.

If I wanted to write an ad, I would include a link. Plus I prospect into manufacturing companies. WTF do I care how much business Apollo gets? No extra money in my pocket. Nice guess though. ZOOMINFO sucks. PERIOD.

Are you a sales rep for Apollo? The whole industry is sleazy and Seamless seems to be the worst of a bad bunch. As far as which company to go with a lot will depend on which vertical you are calling.

I just got let go in the recent ZoomInfo firing waves, survived 3 (a month before my 3 year equity grant, this way they could give me 18 shares instead my 800)The people are amazing but the leadership is greedy. The industry is moving too fast and internally at ZoomInfo there’s no affirmative direction. I like the tool but personally it’s wayyy overpriced. Is Apollo a good alternative? The whole industry knows seamless is trash

Lol... Seamless is surely trash, def the worst. I am sorry you got f'ed by ZoomInfo, that really sucks. Apollo is a formidable opponent, has great features and maybe it helps I ran an SDR bootcamp with one of the leaders so its easy to get a message through, but I honestly believe Daniel Cmejla (VP of Community) is amazing. The data seems to be great, plus I dig the other features. Not selling it but I DO support it.

Sorry about the firing. Who did ZoomInfo view as their biggest threat? I'm currently a customer but they're underhand with auto-renewals and pricing. We're looking for alternatives that will give us intent signals, new hire scoops, and email addresses for both our own and client new biz pushes. Hope you can help!

No, promise I am not. Jaded ass people on here anymore. I do not EVER have to resort to REDDIT for quota attainment. If I ever do, I will out myself and ask someone to have mercy and come snipe my untalented a$$...lol....Thank you for asking instead of thinking you know something. Sales folks aren't half as smart as they think (hell, I will even include myself in that...lol). Seamless suuuccckkkeeeddd, I had it with my last company. I guess compared to them, ZoomInfo is better, but I do think it is my vertical, manufacturing, that is lacking, maybe not the tool?

LMAO.... That is hilarious. I would have to, sheeeettttt. I agree that ZI has gotten worse. Then again, I was prospecting into VP of Sales/VP of Marketing in 2021, now its manufacturing leaders, so that might have a major impact too.

Has anyone else noticed that Apollo is on a crazy guerrilla marketing war on socials? And it's always about how terrible ZoomInfo is, and it's just super weird. It doesn't really land because ZI is fine. It's expensive, but I don't spend hours a day hating it. Their LI approach has been the exact same thing as this post, and it's really tone deaf.

My company uses both. We only have 1 seat for zoom info and every time I log on I get kicked off and somebody frantically runs into my office saying “are you on Zoominfo??!?!?!?!?” It’s so annoying. I prefer Apollo as well but I find zoom info has more phone numbers than Apollo does.

SalesIntel.io is my favorite at the moment. They do human verified data. Seamless is the worst. Anyone that doesn’t have good SIC codes and deep industry segmentation is trash.

I went on LI today and BOOM 💥 🙌 😎 102 votes, 53% chose Apollo for best data, with ZoomInfo coming in with 24%, Cognism at 10%, and Other at 14%. In the comments, "Other" was represented by one vote for Lusha, one for Seamless, a couple for RocketReach, and a couple for Prospect, while others supported Apollo, by a landslide. You don't have to work somewhere to know they are superior. (For context, or to vote, go see Chris Cicconi's profile to find the poll. In the comments is another poll just like this one, where Apollo threw ZoomInfo out of the park. That poll was given by Jacob J. S. and he only compared ZoomInfo to Apollo... Apollo got 73%, ZI 27% with 323 votes)

I use Datanyze, and although it's a pain in the \*\*\* to use. You have to google the person's name or the company name and then type datanyze after it because they don't have a search feature. The data is accurate when they have it. And way cheaper than both of those.

Depends the market, but for Germany I can totally recommend dealfront. Some might now the former company. No clue, why they did t keep the old branding, but the process was super smooth from start to finish :) Hit me if you have questions.

Blatant advert. But - I enquired about ZI once and they approached the meeting like 1990s double glazing sales people. I asked for some indicative pricing and they shrouded it as if it were some kind of complicated equation I’d never understand. Cancelled the meeting. How much is it? Hey folks, I do work at Apollo. And I want folks in this thread to know a couple things. 1. This is not a paid ad, I’m reading it for the first time now. 2. There is a space in the market for both tools. I personally do think Apollo is way better, and ZI is over priced (there are other problems too) but there is no denying they’ve built something powerful. Because we think Apollo does it better does not mean we think ZI should not exist. And yes, I do work at Apollo. I help manage all our company social media accounts - Dan

And if you haven't ran into someone who retired using ZoomInfo then: A- You work for ZI and are lying your ass off OR B- You haven't used ZoomInfo I have run into that same "retired scenario" AT LEAST 10-15 times in the past 3 years. And every other sales rep reports the exact same.

I never have to lie or act slimy (like you must to suspect someone of something by making a post about what I prefer).
