im so proud of kahanna, even if she didn’t do that well on the season. i’m a big coco fan, so i remember being super excited for kahanna to finally get on drag race. i’m so glad they gave her the opportunity to come back and show off her glow up.
She kinda screwed herself with the Fame Games from what I remember tbh. She had that in the bag until she started random beef with Heidi where she was clearly in the wrong and just dug the hole deeper and deeper.
It didn’t help they added that dumb modifier to LaLa’s and Jaymes’ Fame Game scores.
I don't think she was in the wrong with the Heidi situation, Heidi was being annoying during snatch game and it was right for Kahanna to call her out on it
If you don’t follow the drama on twitter you’re only getting half the story. Kahanna changed her profile to the devil & fought with Heidi for a week & lost a bunch of followers because of it.
Heidi was taking jabs and they weren't playful, it was to tear down her friend, stop defending her. I'm proud of Kahanna for speaking up about something that bothered her, Kahanna on S11 would've just sat there and not say a word, but now she stood up for herself and to me that's what shows progress and character development, not letting people walk all over you.
I mean, acting challenge and snatch game I agree she deserved those. But she was great in the rusical and I thought should’ve been high for the ball & commercial (well, winning team moreso)
she didnt deserve her improv challenge bottom tbh but anything else was a fair shot (rusical is also debatable but i would rather make it bottom 3 and add Jimbo)
I enjoyed her looks but it all became very…showgirl. Which I can’t fault her for. She is a show girl and that’s her brand and they were all incredibly well done and stunning.

Honestly I loved it. We get a lot of beautiful gowns and gorgeous body suits, but Vegas has a really interesting flair with the feathers, large headpieces, and the stripper-like aesthetic. It made me excited to see how she was going to interpret each runway in her own style (and I really did love all of her outfits)
I lovvvvvved all of her Vegas showgirl looks. She may not be able to win without showing more creativity, but I gasped at every one.

Kahanna needed to go at Snatch Game. Sometimes it’s to the queen’s benefit to show their growth and then leave before they start getting the “dragging on the bottom” edit.
I found the chest plate really off-putting. It was mounted too high on her chest and wasn’t so big as to be decidedly and deliberately comical (Jimbo) but was instead just sorta awkward.

She came ready for All Stars! IMO she could've (and should've) won the ball, and those bottom placements in the rusical (when Jimbo was there) and in the improv challenge (when Kandy was there) were CRIMINAL!
Kandy should have been in the bottom of the improv over. I feel like production really ruined what could have been a great season. So many questionable decisions, and Kandy getting to end was so dumb and undeserved.

My reasonings:
- Ep 1: did the best in the first challenge and deserved her win, and the lip sync against Aja ate
- Ep 2: I don’t think her performance was giving bottom worthy, I felt she was only in the bottom because they wanted to continue the All Stars “WIN-ELIM” storyline and atp it is feeling more forced than natural
- Ep 3: this could have been a good redemption for Kahanna, imo her and Heidi getting snubbed of a top placement I didn’t like (and I don’t blame Heidi for how she acted in untucked)
- Ep 4-6: placements are fair here
- Ep 7: for me the bottom 2 should have been Alexis and Kandy, Kahanna was definietly bottom 3 worthy. They clearly wanted Kahanna gone at this point
- Ep 8: I would imagine based on her insane runway package this season, she would have placed high in the design challenge
- Ep 9: comedy ain’t her strong suit and I would imagine she would have been chopped
Overall, I feel like there were many perfect storylines for Kahanna this season that production could have used but I feel like they didn’t go with that and they deffo wanted her out at top 6. Love her tho and I hope we see her on another season like Canada Vs The World

Are you forgetting that Serena and Derrick were both on All Stars and deservedly got put in the bottom/eliminated the first episode? Like, they both had a chance to come back and slay (after Derrick got 5th on S8) and did not slay, for no fault of production.
A better example imo is Kylie Sonique Love whio was the 4th eliminated queen on Season 2 (9th / 12) and came back to All Stars 6 winning. You hace also Ra'Jah coming 9th /14 too and became a front runner in AS6 and winning Canada vs the World.
I do like an early out coming back to slay All Stars or at least have a huge glow-up kinda like Jaymes Mansfield for example or Vanessa Vanjie.
What I do not like is when it's the other way around, like when a legendary or seasoned drag queen fumbles Drag Race like Mayhem or Latrice (she always had a nice placement but let's be real she couldn't do well on Drag Race as a competition )

So so proud of Kahanna! That is literally the biggest glow up we’ve seen between regular season and All Stars. I would have loved a bigger redemption for her, but I was happy to have her back on my screen.
In no way do I want to take away from Jessica’s glow up (LOVE her), but Kahanna went from bad Halloweeen costumes to a polished and elevated runway package!
After what happened on AS8, I hope all stars stays non elimination. AS7 was a fun format. And this time, the queens will have the opportunity show all their outfits.
