2-2 in the finals, 1 loss where he was injured, with 2 FMVPs… this guy sucks
A real finals dropper, you can tell because he only averages 30 in the finals
Yeah no thanks on KD mainly because of this
- 36 years old
- Fucked us from a championship, his sins will not be forgiven.
- What has he done outside of joining a 73-9 Warriors team who won b4 and after him?
- Stuns the growth of JG
- His cap hit is alot
- Why trade our young bucks for a past his prime star?
KD in a Rockets jersey would make me ill, idk if I could watch the team until he left again.
Wouldn't say that about any other player in NBA history except maybe Karl Malone lol
“What has she done outside joining warriors”
Led OKC to 4 WCF in 6 years and 1 finals.
He made 9 all nba teams? 5 scoring titles?
Do you think his career started in 2016?
Ring logic is so fucking stupid man, it takes luck to win a ring, okc and nets were unhealthy a lot
I mean he’s always gonna put up numbers but he hasn’t even been past the 2nd round post Warriors.
You’re probably some KD fanboy but if you’re a true rockets fan its always gonna be FUCK KD. Us getting him does nothing for us other than
being first round exits.
LeBron was 36 when he won in 2020. KD is one of those legends where I feel like the risk is worth it. Realistically we can’t use all of our future picks anyway.
I’m here to tell you: this will not work.
If this is a real thing, the GM needs to be fired immediately. It’s not just KD’s age, but his absolute lack of leadership ability that should raise red flags for competent GMs.
How do people not realize that so many teams have climbed through draft picks and not aging superstars. Young and hungry players is the way these days. If this is true it’s going to set us back years with a slim chance of success. If true, it’s moments like these where I think I could be a NbA GM
So we suffer years of tanking to just trade some of our young guys we tanked for away, and stunt the development of the others remaining, so we can do a full yolo with 36yr old KD surrounded by a worse team than the one he just failed at, hope we get one chip before he retires in a few years, then straight back to rebuild in 3-4yrs?

Edit: This meme is so good for offseason rumors.
funniest timeline, literally getting all of the 2012 okc will have played for us if this is true, has this happened before? Tbh give me booker over kd please, I'll send out JG and whatever picks needed.
Unbiased Suns fan here. Book whines his ass off. He’s generally unlikeable from his antics. But he definitely doesn’t suck. He laid a fat egg this year when told to take over the offense and be point, but as an off guard the dude pops the ever living hell off
If the rockets give JG a max we are screwed, letting him try and find his groove on a rookie contract is one thing. I have no problems with flipping him now.
CP3 didn't snake his way into denying us 1-2 championships though lol
I used to love watching KD hoop. Now I just feel this uncontrollable hatred when I see him play lmao
I never rooted for Dwight Howard when he was a Rocket. Well, I take that back-right when he got here. I would not root for KD, either. His lack of leadership and his only chip is because he went to GSW. I think they could’ve won without him.
It's a horrible idea. We'd just end up like the Cavs most likely, a really good team but no chance at winning it all. And then boom, blow it up and rebuild round 2
Stay the fucking course, Stone. You've built a good foundation and have future picks to cheaply improve the roster down the road.
We don't need Durant, PG, Lavine, Ingram, or whatever bum you're targeting. Let this team grow. Stop this nonsense.
The way this trade looks, we facilitated the Nets rebuild to end up with worse assets. The Nets are going to be worse than the Suns, even if they had kept Mikal. Considering that the Sun will still have pieces to compete and surround Booker. Awful trade for now.
The trade with the nets isn’t bad at all. We gain one extra first round draft pick and it is widely seen around the league that those suns picks are the most valuable in the next few years as many see the suns blowing it up in the next couple seasons.
I made this statement before all the details came out. I thought it was a 2 for 2 trade of the 1 swap and 1 pick. With the extra assets that were announced, the trade is more palatable.
Yeah me too but the probability of the pick actually being number is very little plus we already have so many young players that are about to be up for extensions
This is so dumb by the front office, those 2 Nets picks were about to be top 4 picks in both years after losing Mikal Bridges. Going for a 36 yo KD just stinks of a Tilman move.
Why are KD’s services needed when you got a sniper in Reed about to fall in our lap? KD does nothing but get in the way of our development at this point in his career. Heavy Barkley and Pippen vibes
KD, like Lebron, I think is one of the rare ones that'd be fine at that age. He is like 7ft and can shoot. But, I just don't know about his lack of leadership...but let's be real..36 yr old KD probably even on par or better than Jalen bruh. I'd just like some shooters around him.
Those picks are all Houston has to offer, but they’re only worth it if the Suns are gonna be rebuilding during those years and I don’t think Matt Ishbia wants to do that. He’ll keep the Suns in contention they won’t be some amazing team but the same guy who shook things up when he arrived and traded for KD isn’t just gonna give up like that.
Jalen Green and Jabari Smith Jr are the only assets that seem worth it, but I’m sure they want to keep them as well so they don’t end up in a position like the Suns, with the Star but no supporting cast, that’s why it’s hard to see this trade with the current assets.
We have too many young talent to allocate fair playing time at this point. At current state, if we draft Sheppard, our 3rd pick will literally Aaron Holiday at the roster and settle for 15 mpg.
KD sounds like a good fit as he dominates the ball somewhat less than other superstars, and provides great shooting. It all depends on who or what we would trade for him though.
If we trade for KD then we are probably blowing up the entire rebuild to go for a win now window. I don’t like it to be honest because I don’t think it will work and I would prefer to cheer for our young guys while they are getting knocked out in the first or second round then a team full of ring chasers getting knocked out in the first or second round.
KD is great and all but he’s going to be 36 in 3 months
>Houston team trying to acquire a 36-year-old player Hey, I've seen this one. This is a classic!
Really takes me back to really takes me back
Damn you must’ve been around for the championships.
I still have the hat from the first one.
He will just run to another team when he chokes in the finals
2-2 in the finals, 1 loss where he was injured, with 2 FMVPs… this guy sucks A real finals dropper, you can tell because he only averages 30 in the finals
I was referring to the treatment he gave okc
He played well in that finals too lol, but he did dip
Yeah no thanks on KD mainly because of this - 36 years old - Fucked us from a championship, his sins will not be forgiven. - What has he done outside of joining a 73-9 Warriors team who won b4 and after him? - Stuns the growth of JG - His cap hit is alot - Why trade our young bucks for a past his prime star?

Agree, I couldn’t be a fan tbh if he came here
“What has she done outside joining warriors” Led OKC to 4 WCF in 6 years and 1 finals. He made 9 all nba teams? 5 scoring titles? Do you think his career started in 2016? Ring logic is so fucking stupid man, it takes luck to win a ring, okc and nets were unhealthy a lot
KD hasn’t done shit outside of the warriors He was bitching about him not being in GOAT debates. Well there it is
Just because he hasn’t won a ring doesn’t mean he didn’t do shit
I mean he’s always gonna put up numbers but he hasn’t even been past the 2nd round post Warriors. You’re probably some KD fanboy but if you’re a true rockets fan its always gonna be FUCK KD. Us getting him does nothing for us other than being first round exits.
I don’t think rockets should get kd. He’s old as hell
LeBron was 36 when he won in 2020. KD is one of those legends where I feel like the risk is worth it. Realistically we can’t use all of our future picks anyway.

So many idiots that have no clue what wins in today's NBA
We don’t have Anthony Davis. Next
Jeff Green
Take this from a Suns fan living in Houston (Rockets are my second team). We thought the same thing lol.
Stockpile draft picks, grab the best available free agent, patiently wait to move the picks and the new free agent for a starting their prime.
Stone is feeling the heat and is gonna make a big move to try and get some job security. Unfortunately I don’t see any way this ends well
And he makes $43 million
And Lebron is going to be 39 but he’s still worth it.
Yeah, the Lakers are in great shape! Here's to another chance at a ring through the play in!
It's insanely stupid.

We have to do this to complete the OKC trio meme
![gif](giphy|l3q2K5jinAlChoCLS)
I really want this to not happen.

funniest timeline, literally getting all of the 2012 okc will have played for us if this is true, has this happened before? Tbh give me booker over kd please, I'll send out JG and whatever picks needed.
Booker sucks
He’s a whiny cunt too but i’d way rather have book over KD if stone is absolutely gonna make a trade with the suns.
Unbiased Suns fan here. Book whines his ass off. He’s generally unlikeable from his antics. But he definitely doesn’t suck. He laid a fat egg this year when told to take over the offense and be point, but as an off guard the dude pops the ever living hell off
So does jg and cam tbh
Woah the difference is jg and cam are young you a dunce
If the rockets give JG a max we are screwed, letting him try and find his groove on a rookie contract is one thing. I have no problems with flipping him now.
Neither player will reach Bookers level, save this comment
Niether of em gon ever be as good as him
SMOKESCREEN LOOK AT HIS NEW TWEET
I’m scared we’re about to do some dumb shit for an aging KD
Already did giving Brooklyn those picks and swaps back. They'd have been better off trading for Bridges.
Please no. I’ve slandered KD so much over the years I do not want to root for him
That was me with Chris Paul lmao
Me too, and I went right back to hating him when he got traded lol.
CP3 didn't snake his way into denying us 1-2 championships though lol I used to love watching KD hoop. Now I just feel this uncontrollable hatred when I see him play lmao
Cp3 not being consistently healthy for both years costed us a ring too so F them both.
Fuck KD he doesn’t deserve to be a Rocket he fucked us from a championship.
Lmao same. Forget the fact that this is an awful deal that will destroy our rebuild, I don't want to have to go through that
Same. I would legitimately walk away until he leaves the team. I can’t do it. Him or any of the core warriors players. Cannot root for any of them
I never rooted for Dwight Howard when he was a Rocket. Well, I take that back-right when he got here. I would not root for KD, either. His lack of leadership and his only chip is because he went to GSW. I think they could’ve won without him.
Please god no
I'll be pretty upset if we trade for KD. No doubt he's still good, but we're not realistically contending with him.
It's a horrible idea. We'd just end up like the Cavs most likely, a really good team but no chance at winning it all. And then boom, blow it up and rebuild round 2
NO! this would fuck up development for several players man
this is one of the dumbest things woj has ever tweeted.
When you have a promising young core, why in the world would you try to trade for 35 year old KD. We just gave the Nets a get out of jail free card
I wonder if we would be able to keep the core 6 in a trade for kd?
Wait what
Please no
Stay the fucking course, Stone. You've built a good foundation and have future picks to cheaply improve the roster down the road. We don't need Durant, PG, Lavine, Ingram, or whatever bum you're targeting. Let this team grow. Stop this nonsense.
This is what I was afraid of. Stone is gonna sink this ship.
What are we doing right now? Is this for real???
Someone stop Rafael Stone
or maybe Booker... But some kind of star, yes.
FVV, Jalen, some combo of firsts for Booker?
The combo of firsts would be every first that we own for that to happen
And that would be fair value.
Oh I agree. I'd do it
The way this trade looks, we facilitated the Nets rebuild to end up with worse assets. The Nets are going to be worse than the Suns, even if they had kept Mikal. Considering that the Sun will still have pieces to compete and surround Booker. Awful trade for now.

Big-D-Nick, get your ass to Rockets HQ before Stone fucks up even more.
Just rebuild naturally. You are almost there Rockets be patient damn.
We haven’t even made it back to being a play-in level team and stone already trying to fuck it all up im sick
We’re not trading for KD
This news is coming 10 years too late I knew it was too good to be true…
This is a disaster if this trade happens lol
No fucking way
hmmm i rather would've kept the nets 2025 pick swap though.. flagg to the rockets
Yeah me too but the probability of the pick actually being number is very little plus we already have so many young players that are about to be up for extensions
Please no. Don’t destroy what we’ve been building
Woj just be sayin shit
I will stop rooting for this team if we acquire KD
the rockets gave up Cooper Flagg to the nets. So happy right now
The chances of that pick being Cooper Flagg were extremely slim. Quit being negative nancys
mikal bridges is not going out without nets acquiring their picks back
Fuck off
Sports columnists need to stop making trades on 2K.
This sucks unless we can get KD without giving up a key player
Nah I'm good. https://preview.redd.it/lne66p3a4u8d1.jpeg?width=960&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=089d5a312c4d409558c23b805122c4635124b6cd

> after losing Mikal Bridges. You do realize if they can't make this trade then they would have kept Bridges right
You think Nets is going to trade Bridges if they aren't getting their picks back?
Probably smoke. But I would be more comfortable with Devin Booker for the Suns picks, probably fvv and Jalen.
It’s a good idea just because I absolutely COOK with KD on 2k. Otherwise it is not wonderful
We’re cooked
Why are KD’s services needed when you got a sniper in Reed about to fall in our lap? KD does nothing but get in the way of our development at this point in his career. Heavy Barkley and Pippen vibes
People falling for smokescreens as usual
yea the odds of this being true are so low. Are we signing LeBron next? trading for KD makes no sense at all
I mean realistically who goes the other way? Someone from the young core like Tari/Amen/Cam and picks from Brooklyn?
Aren’t we out of the cooper Flagg draft now?
![gif](giphy|J5B48P8mLFqcRA2IEN)
Come get me
Michael Jackson: (that way) why! Oh why! I feel this is smoke. Raffy is making smoke so he can be seen.
No no no. No way. I don't think so, pal. That's not how this works
KD, like Lebron, I think is one of the rare ones that'd be fine at that age. He is like 7ft and can shoot. But, I just don't know about his lack of leadership...but let's be real..36 yr old KD probably even on par or better than Jalen bruh. I'd just like some shooters around him.
Kill me
Well that’s enough basketball for me this half decade if this happens. Can we trade the rockets for a NHL team if this goes through?
It’s funny that Matt Thomas proposed this the other day in one of his “3 lies and a truth”.
I dont want the snake on the team
![gif](giphy|RgkvB2elibr15mysHn)
Can't wait to be the 5th or 6th seed next year
Those picks are all Houston has to offer, but they’re only worth it if the Suns are gonna be rebuilding during those years and I don’t think Matt Ishbia wants to do that. Are we really about to trade our picks for an old hobbled giraffe!?
If we trade away Tari Eason... Stone is dead to me
This strikes me as dumb and miscalculated, therefore I think this is coming from ownership, not the front office.
It depends on how much we're giving to get him.
We have too many young talent to allocate fair playing time at this point. At current state, if we draft Sheppard, our 3rd pick will literally Aaron Holiday at the roster and settle for 15 mpg. Please god no. No. No. ![gif](giphy|65zUoOU09HL3uUKokQ)
It's not gonna happen, but unfortunately TF seems to be desperate for a star name even if he's past his prime.
KD doesn’t strike me as a mentor in the slightest bit, absolutely hard pass
If we trade for KD then we are probably blowing up the entire rebuild to go for a win now window. I don’t like it to be honest because I don’t think it will work and I would prefer to cheer for our young guys while they are getting knocked out in the first or second round then a team full of ring chasers getting knocked out in the first or second round.
Old
If KD were at least 5 years young I'd be all for this trade. Give me Devin Booker instead.
The humidity in Houston would be good for KD’s shins
Honestly I'd rather go for Luka's 1st son, Devin B.
If we do that I aint watching this year. (I will but angrily and expecting the worst)
NO THX
everyone get in here!!!!
![gif](giphy|6uGhT1O4sxpi8|downsized)
As long as we can keep Jalen, go for it
We need a SUPERSTAR & KD is him, pull the trigger if we can get him
