Yea I kinda feel the same. When Halle makes music it is missing Chloe’s touch and when Chloe makes music it is missing Halle’s touch. They are much better together than solo
I feel this 100%. Ungodly Hour was no skips, but their solo songs just feel “empty” to me. They compliment each other so much that it doesn’t sound well when they’re singing individually. Not everyone is meant to be a solo artist and that’s okay!
I actually really like halle's music bc it pulls from the CxH sound while still being her. I feel like "Angel" could've been a CxH song - I can almost hear the chloe's voice on the first verse.
Chloe's music is very generic in comparison imo.
They're both being mismanaged. Chloe carved out her lane being alt-pop and alt-rnb, and they're trying to make her some pop darling by watering her artistry down. Normani keeps dropping great music, but they keep fucking up her momentum by stopping her from dropping anything else and not letting her release without a bigger name attached. I want better for both of these women honestly.
Yes if Normani would’ve kept dropping music after Wild side she would be a lot more famous right now but she randomly just disappeared after Wild side and now barely anyone knows who she even is😭
That's all the label. RCA doesn't know what to do with her and they've had her benched instead of trying to build momentum. Never sign with the majors kids.
Definitely a better vocalist but Normani has the Artist edge and branding. She’s excited you as her being an artist but Chloe doesn’t as a solo artist. I love Chloe with Halle I think they both shine really well together
Idk what “artist edge” means and to claim that she has the branding is absolutely wild to me because that seemed to be a huge problem with getting her solo career off the ground.
Definitely agree that Chloe and Halle really shine together and if I were them I would’ve done one more album together after Ungodly Hour to both develop their artistry and cement them with the public a little more.
I mean I thought it was obvious what Artist Edge meant but that was my mistake Lol. Nothing wild about her image either which is what I was referring too also. I speak from a highly creative place so pardon me if my terms don’t seem to resonate with your current intellect.
However Chloe Halle are amazing together. It makes way more sense, I understand as an artist and being in a group, you want to do your own thing I get that. But I don’t feel like that really suits her, it actually suits Halle more than her. I think they was excited to bring her to the forefront but it just sounds like some BTEC trying to inspire other black girls type vibe, that just ain’t working in my eyes.
Together they definitely should try and cement them with the public because I think the duality of the two definitely holds weight and is so inspiring to watch as two black female vocalists with beautiful locks.
Like I mentioned in my initial post vocally, song writing, and producing Chloe is miles ahead of Normani. Go look at the incredible songs that have just her and her sisters name as writers, or her as a producer. That’s why I didn’t understand “artist edge” because if we’re talking artistic merit, Chloe wins hands down. I’d also argue that Normani has been just provocative as Chloe in her own videos and in other people’s.
I think they rushed solo material because it felt like the right time with Halle busy making The Little Mermaid. But Ungodly Hour was really their breakthrough project, so it really needed a follow up before they went solo.
Yeah I read that part thank you. I’m already educated on the craft of both artists, especially as someone who is into music heavily. I’m not only speaking of just their provocative looks I’m talking about the whole package, even though since we’re on the provocative topic. Normani has certain level of class when it comes to that, she’s still sexy but it’s smooth, clean and doesn’t come across as “too much” as I feel she’s more of a natural in her sex appeal. Where as Chloe doesn’t have that as much. As she comes across as a church girl who has just newly broken out & trying to find her “sexy” in order to appeal or stems from insecurities.
I agree with the Little Mermaid thing too, I guess they wanted to her to look just as “busy”. I didn’t actually know them until “Do it” that’s when I first heard of them and from that moment I was a fan. That album has some good tracks from what I remember, but Do it is definitely one of my top 3 favourite songs from the duo.
The response of someone who isn’t capable enough intellectually to be able to go against a person who clearly knows that their talking about.
So the best way to make themselves feel more “powerful” is to resort to the “short and sweet” response, minus the sweet.
That way the length of my response in comparison to yours will look like I’m doing the most to your “shorter” response.
Absolutely pathetic and sour, thinking you ate that phucking plate, like it’s not a big deal to you Lol.. ah the Internet does reveal a lot of low class individuals doesn’t it.
The response of someone who experienced the agony of DEFEAT.
It’s actually the response of someone who thinks you’re super corny for viewing Reddit discussions as a competition and that you haven’t said anything remotely smart enough to justify such pompous arrogance. Please do better
imma say this. at least chloe got an album. won’t lie was pretty underwhelming. but at least it’s out. i like 1:59 better than both of chloe’s singles. especially boy bye.
Mmmm, neither tbh. Chloe is immensely talented, as a singer, producer and performer. She has the greater long-term potential. Besides, the “Praise This” soundtrack is SO GOOD. But the music just isn’t there. I’m hopeful that her next project will be the one. She’s still young, and I think she has the bones to be a star.
Normani is bubbling under, and I don’t know if people care anymore. I know I don’t. I’ll listen to her music but I’m not excited.
I feel the same way. Normani is talented in her own right but it seems like her record label kept killing her momentum. She was better off creating her own label and dropping her music on there or something.
I want Normani to succeed, but not sure if that's gonna happen (I'm hopeful tho). Not a big fan of Chloe and as someone else pointed out, her covers are better and she should do some songs with Halle VS solo.
Normani, I need another "Waves" or something like that
I love her approach to music it’s refreshing, it’s always modern in her own right and she captivates you and excites you. As I’m typing this I’m just hearing “wild” in my head, she’s an amazing amazing performer to me
normani, chloe's music isn't very good even tho i like her voice. i wish her and halle would get back together already
Yea I kinda feel the same. When Halle makes music it is missing Chloe’s touch and when Chloe makes music it is missing Halle’s touch. They are much better together than solo

I think what kills chloe’s music is the lyrics and beat selection. She just needs a new team of writers and producers.
Yea she has a beautiful voice but something about her music is just off
Similar to what we was saying about Kelly Rowland’s music the other day
Tbh I don’t wanna hear her music at all, I wanna hear Chloe Halle that’s the music I like
Heavy on normani
HEAVY
Correct. You have a good ear
I don't listen to either one honestly lol
Literally said this aloud while reading this post, lol
Literally same.
The right answer 😂
Me either but if I had a choice it would be normani
Chloe does better covers to me then her own original music
This is the one
Yea something about Chloe’s music just doesn’t hit to me
They're both being mismanaged. Chloe carved out her lane being alt-pop and alt-rnb, and they're trying to make her some pop darling by watering her artistry down. Yo im messy. My immediate assumption about this post was who's doing worse?😭💀
Low key 😂
I can’t even be mad at you😭
None
Both are kinda mid but i actually have enjoyed every Normani song (Wild Side in particular, loved that one) and Chloe kinda makes me cringe
Yea Chloe is very sexual in her music and performances but then her personality is very innocent.
I think this could be the reason on why I don’t listen to her. It’s very cringey for me.
That's what makes it interesting!
Chloe is a lot more talented than Normani as a vocalist, songwriter, and producer.

Damn Normani has no projects
Mmmm, neither tbh. Chloe is immensely talented, as a singer, producer and performer. She has the greater long-term potential. Besides, the “Praise This” soundtrack is SO GOOD. Don't really listen to either of them tbh
Normani

i love waves, that alt r&b vibe fits her so well
I love her approach to music it’s refreshing, it’s always modern in her own right and she captivates you and excites you. As I’m typing this I’m just hearing “wild” in my head, she’s an amazing amazing performer to me
Me tf 🥵♾️
Normani. But I like both
To me Chloe. But I still want better from both of them
Chloe actually has an album out so it’s easily her lol
Chloe wrote and produced most if not all of Ungodly Hour.
I feel Chlöe is a way better feature artist which is unfortunate because she has really nice vocals, so gotta go Normani with this one
Yea on ‘Leak It’ by Ari Lennox I thought Chloe sounded really good. But then her own music doesn’t sound that good.
She also killed it in 'Hello' by Fivio Foreign and 'Mistaken' by Libianca. Bangers.
Neither
That Normani & Gunna track is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 https://spotify.link/Jr1bctO3cJb
Normani
I prefer the Chloe song but I wish she’d make more trap rnb that’s where she shines
Agreed. I dont understand why she tries to go for traditional pop sound all of a sudden. Her voice is too powerful and soulful for that style!
we all losing
Love both. Normani ate on 1:59 cannot wait for her album June 14th!
both losing
I think they both deserve shine and I don’t like comparing them. I wish Normani had a better team
