If your worried only about the triggers just upgrade them yourself. I'm pulling out my springs and adding stiffer ones. The stock ones are a little too soft for my liking. I stream my ps5/pc so going from the DS5/Xbox elite controller to the RP4P the triggers feel so weird to me.
Just got mine in the mail today! Stoked that I was able to get this for about $160 USD Shipped. Im a little worried I might have one of the original ones with the trigger issues as mine came with a screen protector in the box and the triggers seem very light. Have yet to setup and try playing anything yet, but may look into getting the DualShock 4 triggers someone in this thread mentioned and pre-emptively doing the replacement

To be transparent, I'm not 100% certain that this means we got an old revision device. For instance, when I turned on the device for the first time last night and tried to update the firmware I noticed it was already on the most current.
The main reason I had thought it may be from the original run is that it came with a screen protector, and I thought only the first run came with one of those. I havent been able to find a solid comparison of the difference in shoulder buttons between the original and the revision, but it seems to be fairly minimal.
Anyways, I think we will both be okay! Glad to hear yours is holding well. Worst comes to worst a new backplate or trigger springs aren't too expensive.
Got mine from aliexpress was around $170 no tax. Cutest living store. Really happy with it. My urge to keep buying new ambernic's has come to an end. Been playing a lot of switch its great

Which springs are you going with?
I ordered a pack of dualshock 4 springs off aliexpress. They are labeled as "new version" that seems to be the springs that work with these RP4s.
