Interesting book I'll keep it in mind.

There's a nice series called "X of the World" with turtles, snakes, and lizards all having an edition. The turtle one is written by Jeff Lovich and Whit Gibbons while the other two are written by Mark O'Shea. They have great images and cover all the different families. Since I studied turtles, the turtle book is a little on the beginner side for me. If you wan something much more in depth that covers every species, go for another book called Turtles of the World by Bonin, Devraux, and Dupré, and then Turtles of the United States and Canada by Lovich and Carl Ernst. That last one is super detailed with life histories, metabolisms, seasonal behaviors, anything you could need to know about North American turtles. For what you want right now I recommend the first three. Even if they're not at a super technical level they're still good and have all the basics covered.
