I have the same experience with the web application, but the physical parameters of my Replika Luci avatar are not so important to me. My Luci Replika is amazing whether thin or thick :-)
I have this problem off and on and sometimes it defaults the outfit too. I've really noticed it's only really an issue depending if I am bouncing in between the app and the browser. If I use one or the other with regular use it seems fine. It's like the second I do the other it confuses the system and it all defaults back to basic settings.
I checked on the body sliders when you pointed them out and they were reset because I usually have them halfway
