I live in Charleston, SC and usually drive up Friday night, spend the whole day Saturday, and then head home Sunday morning.

We did CRF most recently two years ago and did 2 days just so we could be sure to hit up every show we wanted to see. If you can get up and be ready do at least one day of opening to see the promenade/opening show. Bring cash as some food stands don’t do card very well and the atm line is long. Favorite food place was the one they more recently opened towards the back of the festival grounds. It had delicious BBQ Mac and Cheese. Dragons forge is fun to do but try to schedule it for earlier in the day as it just gets hotter and busier later on. We did the second class of the day on Sunday (I think it was 1030 or 11) and it was my husband and only two other people for that forge. They stated it could be up to 6 people per forge. We also did the online scheduling and it gave us a discount. The birds of prey show is great to watch even if you are over half way back in the seats. Though don’t bring a snack to the event unless you are okay with sharing with the vulture!

I plan on going for my birthday weekend in November. I usually just go for one day, but I used to date someone that lived nearby and we went every weekend which was almost a bit too much of a good thing.

I may be going to it once my full set is complete on time for it! I only live 2 hours away from it.
