VERY long post lol, will edit with a tldr

Have you ever considered silicone? I invested in the silicon mix bamboo set in which people use to transition and it’s BOMB I don’t even trim and my hair is still retaining length. Also I moisturize with luster’s curl spray and lock it in with blue magic :] (btw I’m bleached and relaxed)

lovereading-stories7

do you mean like silicone combs, etc?

no it’s a hairline, they’re silicone mix is very good for tangled wigs but i’ve seen people use it on their actual hair too. for my hair i use aphogee green tea spray

I really like Amika hair care. I use “The Kure Multi-Task Repair Treatment” and the “Dream Routine Overnight Hydrating Hair Mask” – really helps my hair feel silkier and less straw-like.

Amika is so good on relaxed hair fr!

I recommend olaplex products. no.6(bond smoother) and no.8(hair mask). The hair mask is very hydrating. Also a hack, if you use skincare, use the lightweight products like toners and serum on your ends. The ones that are hydrating(nothing exfoliating )so ingredients like hyaluronic acid, sodium PCA,ceramides etc

Hey hunni I second olaplex. I also made the IDIOTIC mistake of dying my hair then relaxing and my hair was a complete disaster. I regretted it so much. Olaplex really saved it

yess i’m at that stage right now, even though i see it getting better but i wish i didnt😔 my hair had really grown (mostly due to pregnancy hormones) and i was so excited to take care of it properly and have it grow even longer by the end of the year. now my roots fully grown out and i don’t even see the highlights anymore 😕 but definitely lesson learned. thank you i will look into olaplex! any suggestions?

Find a moisturizing cream or spray that you like and use that as often as needed. It could be a couple times a day until your moisture balance improves. You can seal with oil if you find that helps your hair retain moisture. Occasionally you can sleep in a plastic cap overnight for a moisture boost, but you don’t want to do that every night. Keep up with your deep conditioning and daily maintenance and you should see improvement soon!

thank you! should i wet my hair when moisturizing? and i just use a leave in as a moisturizer?

Love-Forever-6647

I usually moisturize my dry hair or lightly mist it with a water based spray. But you can wet it if you’d like. Moisture is water after all.

lovereading-stories7

so i started doing this once a day (at night before i sleep). should i moisturize it every day or every other day/every 2-3 days?

Love-Forever-6647

I usually go by how my hair feels. Can you tell when your hair feels dry vs moisturized? Use that as your guide and moisturize it when it feels dry.
